This was a great start to a new series. Rich in historical detail and characters. I plan to seek book #2 next.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. Set during the American Revolution, a midwife goes on with life during the war and tries to help the Cause in her own ways. Often interesting, as Mrs. Adams is a minor character, occasionally slow, we do know how the war ends after all, but with several twists and turns for the fictional characters, it is an entertaining historical story. It would probably be enjoyed by those who like Outlander.

A few years have passed since I read this book and it still remains one of my all time favorites
