This is such a cute and funny book. I buddy read it with my tween nephew, and he loved it too... We couldn't stop sending each other screenshot of pages as we were reading. Definitely reading more of this series together.

This classic Nate adventure is new, but fun. It is full of the character you enjoy in this series. It is perfect for the age group as it is full of short readings and funny. It is silly. Fun for those that enjoy Nate and graphic novels.

Another great Big Nate. Always up to trouble! This is another fun book in the series that is a favorite of my 9 and 11 year old sons

There's never that much to talk about with these books. The plots are very simple, but in their simplicity, they're funny and adorable. Nate is always the putz, and that's what makes seeing his embarrassment and inevitable fall from his own pedestal all the more hysterical.

'Big Nate: Aloha!' by Lincoln Peirce is another volume in the Big Nate series for middle grade readers.

This time around, Nate wants a new girlfriend, but she wants to take things slowly and that isn't like the Big Nate we know. Nate gets called in to pitch and unexpected things happen. Nate and Teddy come up with a plan to spend Nate's haircut money with hilarious results.

This is a consistently funny series. Lincoln Peirce knows how to time jokes and wait for payoffs. It's no wonder this series is so popular with younger readers.

In the latest collection of the Big Nate comic strips, Nate and his
classmates discuss the usual middle school-related issues such
as having a crush on a girl. The characters represent various
ethnicities; for example, Nate presents as white with black hair,
his friend Dee Dee appears to be Black, and the principal and
school librarian are Black. The title comes from Nate’s catchphrase with girls, not any plot point concerning Hawaii. This
doesn’t have any paragraphs of text like some of the Big Nate
novels, but the humor is witty, and the diverse characters represent boys and girls equally. The full-color paneled artwork is
charming. Librarians can feel comfortable recommending this
series due to the diversity of the cast and the gender equality
displayed.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this title.

My kids (ages 13 and 11) and I really enjoyed this book. It's a great addition to the Big Nate series.

It's an interesting and fun book, where we follow Nate on his adventures, from girlfriends to friends. Worth reading!

I find, that when I am in the midst of a tough week or a bunch of tough reads, that something light and funny is both needed and essential - Big Nate! fills that bill every single time [I have all the ones I can find on wait lists on OverDrive and Hoopla for moments just like this] and this one came at a perfect time and was just what I needed.

It is summer in Nate's world and that means working at the comics store, playing baseball and searching for the perfect summer girlfriend. We also see Nate try to date someone he really likes [dating in 6th grade seems crazy to me], get an ill-advised haircut and continue to struggle in school. Most of the regular characters are there, but there wasn't an overabundance of characters like Mrs. Godfrey and Gina and I found that to be refreshing this time out. Very funny, very fresh and like I said, a perfect distraction on a tough day. Middle Grade kids and their parents will love sharing these comics together!! Well done.

I rather expected Big Nate to be stirring up trouble in Hawaii. He did go to the beach looking for romance; but no exotic vacation. Definitely some chuckles! This seemed to be the "summer vacation" version of Big Nate. I seem to enjoy the "daily/smaller" comics than the "larger/Sunday editions".

I wasn't all that familiar with Big Nate and wanted to see what the buzz was about; I'm glad that I had the opportunity to review the advance read copy of Big Nate: Aloha! Thank you to NetGalley, the author Lincoln Peirce and the publisher Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to review Big Nate: Aloha! in exchange for an honest review. Publication date is 31 Aug 2021.

Big Nate doesn’t excel in much. He’s not successful at everything like his big sister. When Nate finds out that his iq is higher than his sister and even his dad, he keeps telling his sister. Will she get mad at him? Nate finds Dee Dee to ask Daisy if she will go on a date with him. Nate and Daisy go to a movie on their date. Afterwards, they kiss. Will they go on another date? Nate gets a haircut from Teddy. Will Nate’s survive Teddy’s barber style haircut? Nate is working as an intern at Klassic Komic. When he sees someone stealing, what will Nate do?

As I read Big Nate’s adventures, I had to laugh at his actions. I can’t wait to see him on Nickelodeon! All adventures are so fun to read. The characters with Nate are perfect. The illustrations are perfect for the adventures and the colors are great! This is an excellent book!

This book was received as an ARC from Andrews McMeel Publishing in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I could not help but laugh throughout this entire book at the dialogue the characters say and it just makes the story so much better. I was laughing so hysterically that many people came over and asked what was so funny and I told them about the book. Big Nate is a very popular series in our library and all of our young readers were beyond excited to hear that it will be a series premiering on Nickelodeon. All of our Big Nate books are heavily circulated and I expect nothing less of Aloha! Many of our young patrons will find Aloha very relatable.

We will consider adding this title to our JGraphic Novel collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel for this ARC! My son (age 9) absolutely loves the "Big Nate" series and eagerly awaits any new release. "Big Nate: Aloha!" is, per usual, a clever mixture of elementary/middle school humor in an entertaining comic format. Great for readers of all levels!

We get the span from the end of the school year and prank days, through the summer, and some back-to-school shopping. As usual, a fantastic look at the life of Nate with a bit more Dee Dee and not as much Gina (I wish we saw more between those two; the crossover is always fun; it would have bumped up my reading score for sure).
One of the more interesting stories is that, while working as an intern at the comic book store, Nate sees Randy shoplifting. Randy, of course, being one of Nate's bullies. Nate calls for help, but when none is forthcoming, he tackles (literally) Randy. This also spins off a few strips where we discover yet another job of School Photo guy as mall cop.
Of course, Nate is still interested in romance. He goes on a date with one girl, tires the pencil trick with two others, and then works his charm on the beach. Spoiler, none of them work.
We get glimpses of other summer activities such as busking with Enslave the Mollusk and once again playing on the Cupcakes baseball team.

Big Nate never disappoints. My nine and ten year old boys cannot wait until new titles are released. Lincoln Pierce knows how to capture the attention of young readers and keep them reading. Any series that keeps readers, especially recluctant ones, turning pages has a permanent spot on a bookshelf in my classroom.

Another fun collection of Big Nate comics. Nate is chasing after Daisy, but things do not go well romance wise. Nate does get his dream job, working at the Comix shop, and manages to nab a shoplifter. Then Teddy manages to give Nate a haircut! That was a sight to see! And Prank Day was fun! In all, a fun collection!

Thanks Netgalley for the chance to read this title!

This is another fun Big Nate book and just like the previous ones, I enjoyed it a lot. The humor is funny and it's the perfect amount. I enjoyed the comics and the mini stories. This book is perfect for readers ages 8-11.

I can't believe that the Big Nate books continue to be so funny. I don't know how the man does it. It doesn't take any psychic skills to know that this book is not going to spend any time on the shelf.
