Big Nate is a wildly exciting character and all of his antics are enjoyable! I can't wait to bring this newest addition to my classroom library, where I know it will be a hit! I love seeing Nate grow and change in his storyline as he grows and his readers grow with him!

Another hit…my son loved this newest installment in the Big Nate series. It’s hard to ever find anything to critique in this series of books. Well written and always keeps the interest of my very reluctant readers.

Another great big Nate book. These books are so simple with no direct plot except for the everyday happenings of a middle schooler. They’re witty and funny.

Big Nate is at it again. This time he’s looking for love, let’s his friend cut his hair, tries to make some money, and is up to his regular antics. Funny situation. Big Nate fans will enjoy.

This is a fun collection of comics featuring Big Nate and all of his friends, as they navigate the minefield of sixth grade. A little bit Peanuts, a little bit Calvin and Hobbes and a whole lot of unique Big Nate style, this one kept my kiddo entertained for ages during Lockdown.

Big Nate: Aloha! is another book in the Big Nate series. My 10 year old read this one and approves! He really enjoyed this one and his favorite character in this one was the dog. He was giggling through the whole book so I would say it was a success.

The Big Nate book series has been a favorite in our household for some time now. It doesn't matter how many of them we have read, when we see a new Big Nate book is on the horizon, the excitement is palpable.

I would equate the Big Nate series to the kind of books I want to curl up with when I want to do some easy comfort reading. They are predictable in a good way, take on new relatable topics and themes for middle-grade readers and always provide a laugh.

Our middle-school-aged son read this one with me and gave this a big thumbs up. The short stories made it perfect for bedtime reading, and like always, his favorite characters were up to new adventures that were very fun and enjoyable to read along with.

Big Nate is back and he says Aloha!. I was so hyped to see a new Big Nate appear on Netgalley, I just love the series. Both this one (filled with comics) and the other one (with more story and comics/illustrations everywhere). Oh, and I guess I also like the picture books that are appearing. Haha, I just love Lincoln Peirce's writing style. You just want to keep on reading.

In this one a ton of things happen and at times I just wish there was a bit more of a clear line in the stories, not blocks of comics forming one story and then we go on to the next. But despite this I still had fun seeing what happened in Nate's life and boy oh boy a lot of things happen. We read about his baseball adventures (along with an assistant coach who isn't the best, but hey it beats having your dad coach you), he has a crush on a girl (Daisy) and they go out on a date which.... well you have to read that one, we read about grandparents, dogs, IQ, mall cops who are also photographers for school pictures, don't let your best buddy cut your hair, Randy and something bad he did, and oh man, there is just so much more. There is definitely never a dull moment in Nate's life. While he may think there is, I think he has a pretty exciting life. Filled with friends, weird teachers, even weirder dogs, and crushes.

I think my favourite story out of these was the Daisy story, I am quite proud that he talked to her and that they went on a date. I mean, this is Nate. Mostly he just pines from the shadows, or talks about it with his friends. So I was happy to see him grown up a bit!
The least would be the baseball stories! Sorry, I am just not a sportsfan that much, and baseball is just a bit too bland for me. While there were moments I did like during the baseball comics (some silly jokes or how Nate acts), it just was a bit too much for me at times.

Oh, and I am so glad a certain character has very little spotlight in this one *cough* Gina *cough*, and even Randy doesn't appear to be too much like he normally is.

All in all, I cannot wait for the next one and I will keep on saying everyone should be reading Big Nate (and also Max and the Midknights). Do it!

This book follows the theme of many of the big Nate books. I enjoyed how the short mini stories keep the story moving.
I thought it was a bit choppy in the begining, but by the end it all made sense. The ending seemed abrupt.

Critique-proof, as usual. There's never any let-up in the quality in these books, so once you're in you're in, and no online review is going to sway you otherwise. There is some variation here, mind – the book opens with the narrative of Nate trying to have dates with a girl he likes that goes on so long and with such intensity we don't even get the double-sized, non-arc weekend strips interrupting it. They're present and correct in the middle of adventures with hair removing friends, and a theft at the comic store, but some things clearly take priority. So is Nate going to grow up and get all hormonal with it? Don't be daft. Some things never change.
