Very useful when accompanying the book! thank you so much! It was very useful when guiding the discussion of the group. I enjoyed the book immensely and loved thinking about the story in the sense that it was related to The Great Gatsby but also beautiful in it's own right.

This kit provides some questions to discuss on book clubs. Can be interesting have them on hand after you've read the book even if not to discuss them in group, but to reflect about the reading.

I think I'll read this book, this book club kit made me curious.
Before this book come out I already seen it on social media, and I was curious because it's a Great Gasby retelling. This one is one of my favorite book ever and I have to read its retelling, absolutely.

Great kit for a book club reading The Chosen and the Beautiful. I passed on the cocktail ideas to one of our book clubs (unfortunately, the ladles were all driving and couldn't consume on the day), but they had a go at the paper cutting and all thought it added an extra, fun dimension to the morning.
The book club kit is a great idea, kudos to the publishers for so much extra value to what is already a wonderful book!

I download this accidentally thinking it was the actual book, which i still haven't read. I didn't know these bookclub kits were a thing and will make sure to pay more attention in the future.

I think this book club kit is a great way to have meaningful more pointed conversations in your bookclub about this book. I think the questions are wonderful for a bookclub as they allow for further discussion whilst thinking about the aspects of the writing and characters on a deeper level. Whether you were struggling on how to discuss this book for your bookclub or just wanted more discussion ideas, this kit is extremely helpful and constructive.

I absolutely loved Nghi Vo's The Chosen and the Beautiful ( liked it wayy more than The Great Gatsby). This was a pretty good Book Club Kit, we discussed the insightful questions amongst ourselves and felt like we understood the book a lot better after going through them. The article on Asian Americans in the Jazz age was also interesting. The Jazz Age is represented as the height of glamour in movies/books. and general mainstream media. But most of these books and movies have straight white protagonists. Our Book Club felt enlightened about how it was for the Asian Americans living through that period. As Asians ourselves, it felt like being seen for the first time.
The cocktail recipes given in the kit were fun to read about, but being Muslims we really couldn't make a Mint Julep, instead, we substituted the alcohol for 7up and orange juice and acted like we were flappers living in Chicago in the 20s, sipping our exotic drinks lmao.
When I read The Chosen and The Beautiful, I found the concept of paper cutting superbly fascinating. We girls at the Bookish Book Club printed out the designs we liked and experimented with the directions given. The result wasn't very pleasing as most of us aren't artistically talented but it was good fun nonetheless!
Thank you to the publisher for providing this Kit, it really made our club meetings a whole lot more enjoyable!

The Chosen and the Beautiful was just not for me. I like dark fantasy, vampires, etc.; however, putting them as adoptions of classic books has never seemed to work out. Of course, I am the same way about movies being remade and released.

Although I did not read the book yet, this Book Club Kit is interesting and have some questions about the book, useful information about paper cutting and nice cocktail recipes I will try for sure!

Although I didn't quite like the book as much as I want to, the book club kit provides a lot of questions which is a good springboard to a good insightful discussion. Apart from these questions, there was also a lot of background information provided on some topics in the story. I particularly like the section describing the alcoholic/cocktail drinks as well as the ingredients and recipes provided to make them.

I loved the book and this book club kit would be a great addition to any book club reading it. It includes insightful and detailed questions that provoke great discussions. There is also some more information and history related to the book which help deepen understanding and even give you a greater respect for the book and the research the author did. The recipes and crafts are a great addition as a fun book club activity. This kit is well put together, useful, and overall amazing. Would highly recommend the book as well as the kit.

I think Nghi Vo has a gift with words and it's always a pleasure to read them. This is enchanting and well written. Not too long so it doesn't feel forced but also not to short so it doesn"t feel rushed.

I have not yet read The Chosen and the Beautiful but this Book Club Kit has an interesting content, some great questions and fun recipes and activities! Once I read this book, I'll definitely try some of those recipes!

I'm planning on reading this book soon, but it's nice to know what topics it touches & different suggestions to understand the book and the author on a deeper level. Plus, & i think it's really good, that this book is a retelling so it's nice to know to what degree this relates to the original. Very nice kit.
