A well crafted dystopian horror story from Robert Dunn.

The cover definitely drew me in to start as I'm a bit of a gear head, and the innards did not disappoint. I don't want to spoil the story for you, however it sucked be in and before I knew it the book had ended and I was left a bit bummed out that there wasn't more to discover.

I couldn’t stop talking about this book. I didn’t want it to end. Powerful, so much depth, and really took me by surprise. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this. I am not a “car guy” nor am I religious so looking at the cover, I wasn’t excited to start. I was hooked right from the beginning and it only got better.
I am so amazed by this book. I was making comparisons to 1984 and Brave New World very early on, but I think it is better than both because it was easy to read. Some authors know how to put together sentences that really make you think but do it with such an easy reading style.

I don’t want to tell anything about the story because you need to take this ride for yourself. I could pull 15 different quotes that really affected me in this short book.

“Your church wants one of two things from you—murder or compliance. Either one serves it. Not your faith.”

These characters are so real that you feel honored to know them. You will feel a wide range of emotions, anxiety, pride, anger, and horror.

“People plant seeds in our lives. Little pieces of themselves that spring up when we least expect them. And sometimes, when we most need them.”
