This was unfortunately just an okay book. It didn't give me much of the christmas feels. I think this could have been a little shorter because at times things felt repetitive.
A fun sweet read! Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
I loved this book! It's well-written, enjoyable, and a great Christmas read. Sarah Morgan did a great job of writing in a way that captures the readers attention, and makes you not want to put it down until you're finished! I would highly recommend it!
This was an ok story, I didn’t like nor did i hate it. I like the authors writing style and will continue to read from her.

I really enjoyed this Christmas story. I love all of the setting in Sarah Morgan's story. They are always interesting. This one was set in Lapland. Nice story and characters. Very enjoyable.
Book wasn't meant for me. Hopefully someone will enjoy it more. I will look into renting it in the future
This one took me a while to get in to but once I found my rhythm (about half way through) there was no stopping. Christy is sure there is something going on in her marriage and when she confronts her husband, Seb, he finally lets her know he is out of work and has interviewing. Even though they have a Christmas family vacation scheduled, she sends their daughter off with her best friend, Alix, and Seb's friend, Zach, to Lapland to Christy's aunt's home with plans to join them for Christmas. This gives Christy and Seb time together. This also leaves Alix and Zach time to find their way, after all they found their way before and have been at odds since. Christmas is a time to bring everyone together, not only family but friends. Especially Robyn who was Christy's mother's sister who was estranged and getting to know each other again is all they wanted. Take a chance on this one and curl up with this one.
Loved the unlikely couple getting together in the romantic Lapland setting. Perfect cozy winter read.
When it comes to Romance and Christmas novels, Sarah Morgan never disappoints. Her stories are sweet and moving, but also fun and fresh. This is the kind of romance you can read at any given moment to connect with that sort of magic, the Christmas magic; no matter if it's June, October, or if it's indeed Christmas.
I really do enjoy anything by Sarah Morgan because I know it will be a story full of heart and emotion.
I kept going back and forth with The Christmas Escape because of the dual storylines and the constant emotional turmoil that the different couples were going through. The story was very well written with plenty of Christmas cheer to go along.
I would have liked some more logic to the story because often the women seemed to act purely on emotion. Plus, my pet peeve of writing was in this book. I don't love any storyline that exists purely because people don't talk to each other.
Every season I look forward to picking up a new Sarah Morgan women’s fiction novel for a few reasons. They’re always multi-layered stories about life at different stages. They show a warmth in relationships that are not always perfect but with work and some attention can flourish. They can still be romantic and satisfying with an HEA. And that’s exactly what THE CHRISTMAS ESCAPE delivers.
This story centers around Christy. Her life is carefully planned and pictured perfect on the outside. But the weight of keeping all that up can easily come crashing down when she suspects her husband is having an affair. Her friendship with one time best friend Alix is not as close as it used to be. And her perfectly planned Christmas vacation to visit an estranged aunt in Lapland may need to be re-evaluated.
If what you are looking for is a wintery Christmas vibe, this is the book for you. Part of it is set in Lapland and just the beautiful setting, the sledding, the Northern Lights, it had me itching to look up tickets and put this on my bucket list of places to visit. It added a magical element that fit perfectly with the season. But also highlighted the joy in the simple things. And that translated well into the relationships in this book. Romantic, family and friendships.
Christy and her husband ‘s troubled marriage grows as they learn to communicate and I was rooting for them the whole way. There is a secondary romance as well that is an enemies to lovers. I was so invested in their relationship and they definitely added a touch of spice to the story with their personalities and banter.
In the end, this is a feel good cozy holiday story.
Reading a new Sarah Morgan Christmas book is my favorite tradition. This book had the same spark that i look for in Sarah's writing.

I learned that Christmas novels are thing! Being burned and raised in the tropics (aka all year long summer weather) I honestly never yearned for cozy Christmas reads. This year though, was a different story! I wanted to cuddle up in my couch or bed and just read all the Christmas books and watch all the Christmas movies. This was an excellent escape (pun intended!) and I loved the scenery and the story! I’ll be checking more of this author!
Amazing characters, bolstered by witty, intriguing dialogue, with life quotes to keep one afloat during dark days. Honest communication and forgiveness flowed through this incredible, gravity defying, novel. A Must-Read for all romance lovers and friends!
Robyn lives in Lapland with Erik and for Christmas, her niece Christy will be visiting her together with her family. Christy is married to Seb and have a little girl Holly. She is suspicious of her hub and in order to stay back and travel with him to Lapland, she arrange for her best friend, Alix together with Seb’s friend Zac to take Holly to Lapland and both Christy and Seb will follow suit later.
This book tell the story of 3 different couples each with their own issues and intertwined with each other. It have mixture of complex relationship and had a lot going in the story. Each of the ladies has their own struggle and in the story, each of them found their key to their own happiness. There is a twist that I did not see coming but I love how the story ended.
I adore Christmas and all things about it, especially romance novels. This was a quick, fun read to help put me further in the Christmas spirit and I sold a few copies to customers interested in Christmas romance over the holidays !
