In just one week a person’s life can change from bad to worse and that’s what happened here. I can’t imagine dealing with all of this in just one week.
I thought this started out really strong and then something went wrong. I can’t put my finger on it but it was disjointed. I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrator was ok. Not great.
I guess I’m trying to say that some places dragged and at other places it went to fast. Maybe it just needs some more development for both main characters.
Anyway, that’s all I got.
Thanks OrangeSky Audio via Netgalley.

Vicky Collins is a new FBI agent and she’s landed in the middle of a sh&*t storm. The death of a young mother has police believing a serial killer is at work, but the Bureau has other ideas. Vicky is smack dab in the middle of the investigation until DNA found at the scene proves that she is related to a nasty criminal, something she didn’t disclose during her many interviews with the FBI. But was this a deliberate lie, or is Vicky truly ignorant. I wanted to like this book more than I did, the plot line is very good, but there were too many POVs and not enough fleshing out of Vicky’s character to get any real feeling for the story

A 2.5 stars for me
The book starts in a very promising way. It really grips you. It almost feels like the first chapter was written by someone else. But from there onwards it goes from bad to worse.
We are sucked in the story of an FBI agent and all her insecurities and issues and problems at home and doubts about her relationship. It's more of a drama than a thriller story.
The story is mainly focused on a serial killer and the FBI agent, Vicky Collins who is trying to catch him.

The ending, although surprising, leaves a lot of things unanswered, as far as I am concerned.

Thank you for NetGalley for allowing me to read this book!

3/5 ⭐️
Hhmmm the beginning of this was more interesting to me then the rest of the book. It lacked a certain… something. It was still good, but something about the main characters bugged me.

WoW! This book is flat out amazing! When I say I couldn't stop listening to If I Had Two Lives.
It's very well written with an amazing, interesting plot!
This is a quick paced psychological thriller that holds you till the very end!
This is a very difficult subject but a very real one too, I think that added to the book, I loved Vicky she was so real and had so much troubles like anyone else.

Thank you NetGalley, OrangeSky Audio for this amazing book

The story begins with a very disturbing incident of rape/abuse of an young woman. Slowly the topics continue to surface the truth.

Law officer Vicky Collins is transferred to the FBI and while she wants to solve a Piggyback Killer case of a serial killer she discovers she has a brother with criminal record. DNA says they are real brothes and sister. So she has an other mistery to solve. But she does not know how things are realated.

This was really a twisted and dark psihological thriller. I really enjoyed to listen.

"It's easy to judge, but we shouldn't have done it until we've lived two lives."

Special thanks to Netgalley.com and OrangeSky audio for an audio copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A book that starts in a hospital. It continues with the eye rolling as if saying here have a reason to roll them. Like a mother telling her kid, “do you want me to give you a reason to roll those eyes”, and then actually giving a reason.

One terrible horrible thing happening after another almost seeming as if they needed more to throw into the book just to up the word count. Honestly through the entire book I was giving it a 3 star rating just not really seeing it as anything other than a pretty okay distraction from life for a while.

Then out of nowhere the author says, HAHA TRICKED YA! This book is about to blow your mind. And mind blown I definitely was. As the book comes to the last half I felt as though a great indie redemption was happening, like the underdog of the match came back from face down on the mat to TKO the reigning champ of published big names.

A.B. Whelan thank you for this book! The perfect psychological thriller, police drama, mystery thriller to give me all the creepy vibes and an ending I didn’t see coming.

When you have more than one life to live, who is the one in control?

Thank you Netgalley and A.B. Whelan for the opportunity to read this ALC 4.5⭐️ Book!
