I really enjoyed the premise of this book, two broken souls drawn together by a tragic event. Could they heal each other, or are they both too damaged to overcome the obstacles in their way? I won't ruin the ending for you, so you will just have to read this yourself.

The setting was unique to me, as the majority of it took place in a pub/brewery and in a dance studio. Nan did a great job setting these up, as well as how intertwined the main characters, Nicole and Sean, are with their respective lives. I also enjoyed that Sean was a handsome Irishman. I love a man with an accent! I imagine it wasn't hard creating the steamy scenes with Sean in mind.

Initially, I felt kind of thrown into their stories, as if there wasn't a whole lot of background given upfront. It was a little jumbled at times trying to figure out what was going on and how I should feel towards the characters in what was happening. Eventually, the timeline evens out, and it was easier to connect to Nicole and Sean with their individual struggles.

There is even a secondary love story between Frank and Beth that I honestly enjoyed slightly more. It would be a quick yes for me if a book was written about them. Overall, this is a good book and a sweet love story. I will place a warning though that there are some pretty dark scenes and topics within this book that might be hard to read.

I thought it was a good story of love and loss. Very endearing and lovely. I wasn’t overly impressed with it, but it was overall a satisfying read.

Sean runs his family’s pub and brews beers. The pub is his life, and he knows his customers well. When Nicole pays a visit to his pub, he remembers dancing with her. He also remembers seeing her husband with other women. It had been eight months since Nicole’s world had turned upside down. Her husband had been drinking at the pub with another woman when Nicole asked him to pick up their daughter Hannah. She is a ballerina, and her rehearsal was running late. He crashed the car killing both. When Nicole revisits Sean’s pub, she asks him to dance, and the evening ends up with them together. There is a lot to this book. Grieving, working through therapy, trying to maintain a life without friends, sharing grief, keeping secrets, and learning how to be strong are all important aspects. I enjoyed a glimpse into what it takes to be a ballerina. Relationships are difficult especially when tragedy plays a part. Great book, wonderful characters, and lessons learned.

A book about two people who find each other in an unexpected way. The characters were well drawn out and interesting. The ending felt a bit rushed, but overall this was an enjoyable story.

A sweet international romance. Irish pub owner and American ballerina meet during an unusual circumstance. This was my first venture with Big Sky Dreamers. They seem to be an interesting and loyal group. I would have been happier without the intimate details, but enjoyed getting to know all involved in the story, especially Mara.

This was a really sweet, easy read. I loved the characters and their story. I loved the supporting characters and was invested in their stories too. I did' t realize this was the third (?) book in a series. It stands as an individual book and you dont need to read the previous books. However, I am actually going to go back and read them - I would love to get more about the friends' stories.

If you are looking for a good, contemporary romance, pick this one up. Really sweet.

I want to thank the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC which did not impact my review.

As a former performing dancer whenever I see a book with “dance” in the title, I am drawn to it. Being new to both the author and the series, I decided to give it a try and truly enjoyed it. Know that if like me you have not read the previous stories in the series, rest assure that this one is definitely a stand alone.
Sean O’Dair owns a pub in Minnesota, and is told by his friends that he’s always trying to rescue sad women. There is a reason for that. A reason that has molded his life. Nicole Hest, a talented ballet dancer, is a widow who in an automobile lost her husband and her daughter Hannah. A child she loved with all her heart and whose loss has left Nicole devastated and ready to give up on life.
When Sean sees the lovely, lonely and sad woman enter his pub , he’s determined to give her some happiness. Never realizing that she has secrets and issues that could destroy him.
As the story progresses , we are reminded of the emotional scars and devastation that occur with the loss of a child. How depression affects individuals, some even as far as considering suicide. That trust and opening one’s heart is not easy, but to achieve one, the other must be granted.
This is a story about losses, trust, hope, new beginnings and finding love when you least expect it.
Aside from the story being heartbreaking as well as heartwarming, it’s obvious that the author did an in depth research on the lives of dancers. A life that though filled with lots of discipline, sacrifices, injuries, deformed feet etc, is one filled with joy for love of dance.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
