An easy to follow along to book showing and explaining why there needs to be a healthcare revolution for childhood trauma and adult illness. You go through some steps that a patient went through and then you have little blurbs that explain what his conditions were and the effects they had on him. As well as definitions, which I thought was very helpful especially if people don’t have prior knowledge of these conditions.

This does deal with many heavy topics so if you do plan on reading “Damaged”, just know that physical, sexual, and emotional abuse are big aspects of this book as well as abusive parents.
