Quick read and cute story! Although this isn’t my favorite book of the series it still has all the feels. Great characters (especially Jack♥️) and a unique story line. I also love these books because they have lots of humor. I actually laugh out loud! I also cry out loud too… but they are good cry feels! This can be read as a standalone, but the other books are so good just read them all! Quick summer romance read. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

This is the first book I've read of this series and I wasn't that impressed, nonetheless by reading other users' reviews I understand the previous novels were much more entertaining. Maybe I'll give them a try.

It's not a bad book, in fact I would say is an average romance, but it lacks spice and I didn't find it as much entertaining.
I finished it in one night, so it's super easy and quick to read (perfect if you are looking for a light book), but I've found everything rather plain.

The two main characters are Autumn and Jack.
She comes from a small village in Wisconsin, has a degree in sociology, and wants to pursue a Ph.D. at Columbia, luckily she has a sister (Hellen) who lives in NY with her husband and offers her shelter in exchange for some work.
Jack is the veterinarian of the rich people who live on the East side and is trying to leave the city, he hates his clients and is looking to move to the countryside.
When they meet on a cold night in a Pizzeria they fall for each other, but while Autumn is completely smitten, Jack thinks she's one of his rich snob clients and “tries” not to like her.

The premises were so good, but the overall result is unsatisfactory.
The plot could have been really great, instead is plain, with no spice, and is not very entertaining either.
The exchanges between the two are not fun to read, they don't give emotions, they are just PLAIN!

The two characters like each other straight away.
Autumn really likes Jack from the begging but he's so weird in his behavior, he starts making assumptions about her with no logic whatsoever: she’s living in a house with other two people, so she must be sleeping with the male one, and he also thinks she has a sugar daddy because she has an expensive dog and talks about a man called Juan.
I MEAN, hello? Logical thinking? He has a degree in veterinary but has no brain apparently.
Also, they pick up fights for no reason and are continuously breaking up and getting back together, there's not much physical contact either.

Hellen or Helena, is way too much drama…she could have had a completely another arc, her story doesn’t make much sense to me.

Must say that Brenda, Jack's secretary, is a lot of fun and is possibly the best character in the book.

In the end, I found this book overall boring. Is not a bad product but it was not a good read either.

I was not prepared for how much I loved this book! I read Text Wars and really enjoyed it, but I absolutely loved this one!

Jack was my favorite in this book. Even though he was a little wishy washy with his actions sometimes, he was so cute and into Autumn. I loved his personality and really liked his interactions with not only Autumn, but all the characters!

This was also a change because I am so used to reading enemies to lovers and this wasn't that. The main couple got frustrated and it was definitely a slow burn, but they weren't "enemies."

I loved Autumn's story with her family and seeing the growth and change there as well.

Overall, I 100% recommend this one! This is such a cute series. Can't wait for the next book!

5 stars!

Another triumph. Text in Show is a wonderful addition to the series.

Loved the chemistry between Jack and Autumn from their first interactions, and once again this was packed with hilarious moments. It's fair to say that I despised 'Helene' at the start but it's a testament to the amazing writing how they managed to completely change my opinion on the seemingly vacuous elder sister by the end of the story (and I would dearly love her to get her own story in the future *begs*) As someone who also studied sociology, I too found the elite ladies club fascinating.

Highly recommended.

Text in Show follows Autumn, a hopeful PhD student and Jack a burnout veterinarian. While Autumn is looking to stay in New York long term, Jack can't wait to get out of the city. Sparks fly when they meet but a slight misunderstanding causes Autumn and Jack to avoid each other until their chemistry is too magnetic for them to be apart.

This book unlike the others in the series follows two completely new characters that were not introduced in the previous books. This is beneficial for readers who are interested in the book but do not want to commit to read the whole series. Another difference from the previous books in the series, is that the text messages between Jack and Autumn are not vital to the story or the plot. While this book had a strong idea behind the execution fell short. The romance between Jack and Autumn was rushed and incomplete and the only character that exhibited personal growth in the book was Autumn's sister, Helen.

With the combination of dogs and romance, this book sounded right up by alley. Unfortunately, this one was just a bit too over the top for my tastes. I love a good rom-com, but this was just too ludicrous for me to truly enjoy.

There were plenty of laughable moments, great banter, and elements of a cute romance. However, this is a book that is built on ridiculous, exaggerated situations and personalities, and that is just not a style of rom-com I tend to connect with. If that is your style, it's definitely worth a read!

Text in Show is a modern retelling of Cinderella set at a socialite dog show. What makes this show different? Mother-dog matching clothing, doggy evening gown and swimsuit competitions are just part of the craziness!

Autumn has a hyper-critical mother. Sure, it took her ten years to get her college degrees. So what? Finally, she has found her calling, sociology. She moves in with her sister, Helen, in NYC to get her Ph.D. from Columbia. Little does Autumn know that she is moving from the frying pan to the fire. Because her sister is snobby and calling herself Helena now. Helena makes Autumn live in the pantry of her huge house. But soon Autumn’s life will change for the better when she meets a handsome veterinarian, who may just be her Prince Charming.

Text in Show is a sweet and humorous romance. It reminds me of every Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey rom-com I’ve ever seen. And that’s a good thing! It’s just a cute way to pass a few hours. It would also be the perfect beach read. 4 stars!

Cute premise for a book, continuing the romantic comedy vein of previous books. It's a light read, slow at times, but overall a quick summer read. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Fun read from these authors. I love this series. I want more from this series and from these authors. . The more I read from them, the more I want to find every book they have ever written. Was a good read. Do it.

I really like this series even if this installment is very much less a romance than the previous ones.

I am not really sure I loved Jack, the main male character, while I really appreciated Autumn, her (hilarious) mum and Brenda.

I liked the insight into the Upper East Siders world and how some women are ready to surrender their own dreams for wealth and appearances.

However, it s no more than 3 stars for me as it wasn't really a romance (too much confusion for nothing according to me).

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an eARC in exchange of an honest review

Text in show, the fourth book in the accidentaly in love series features Autumn ( who moves to NYC to help her sister with a dog show after completing 8 years of college by living from one to another) and Jack ( veterinarian to Manhattan's elite).

The book is filled with humor ( as usual), crazy scenarios, rich & snooty characters, forced proximity between the main leads, snarky banter & lots of attraction.
Jack & Autumn's banter was downright funny & had me chuckling the whole time. Never thought mistaken identities would be this fun.
The on & off hate-to-love/ arrogant-snoby banter they had going on was amusing.

Autumn and sister, Helen, couldn't be more polar opposites. I mean the ways in which Autumn describes how they couldn't possibly have come out from the same womb🤣 was downright funny. The moment she arrived at her sister's place, she was stranded in the cold for hours, had to live the pantry or the 'maids quarter' as Helen likes to call it, made a fiasco of herself at a Cafe, nearly killed Helen's dog, who is named Celion Dion btw.

I loved how the sisters bonded over the period of time, which no one would've imagined at the beginning & what a great character & heart change Helen had. Thanks to the crazy meddling of their parents, their overbearing assumptions & 'rat poison' threats.

The dog show was hilarious, crazy & absurd to the core which turned into a circus for. And by that I mean, dressing up dogs as of their owners, having a fashion show, having a therapy session for them & what not😆.

I'm not lying when I'm saying that I love this series. This book started so well, it was hilarious and so witty that I couldn't put it down, but around 60% of the book (you are already invested) something shifted. In general, these stories are a bit over the top and funny in a quirky way, but this one became a bit flat and missed the outrageously hilarious factor that I always look for in these books.
It became a bit repetitive in the characters' interactions and it might have been better to wrap it up earlier than it was.
I'm not giving up on the series, of course, I'm already 4 books in!

3.5 stars. This is cute, fluffy fun. The characters are pleasant and there are lots of humorous moments. The proclivities of bored rich people were skewered amusingly and I enjoyed all the dog antics and the commentary of the vet clinic's admin.

The romance is a little frustrating. As the heroine rightfully complains, Jack is very inconsistent to the point where he does seem to be jerking Autumn around a bit, but he manages to stay likable overall. The story is completely PG - nothing more than kissing is referenced.

Anyone looking for a light diversion would have fun with this quick, entertaining read!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

After reading Text Wars and seeing this duo coming out with another in the series I had to request for it!
I haven't read her first two and started with the third book! But they are amazing series and one I really enjoy reading!
This LoL book is a funny, cute, sweet romance with a story about life, family and friends!
I seriously laughed and smiled while reading it.
The story is simply a great, enjoyable, lovely book!
And I can't thank NetGalley and Whitney Dineen & Melanie Summers for this advanced ebook!

Autumn and Jack meet on Autumn's first day in New York, where she has moved to help her sister organise a dog show.
After a misunderstanding that leaves Jack jumping to conclusions about Autumn, they are forced to spend more time together as he is the vet helping with the dog show.
He is all set to sell his vet's practice and leave the city, but will Autumn being in New York change his plans?

Love this series of books so far - can't wait for the next one!
