I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This started out odd and didn't grab me. I could not get past the first 2 chapters. Needs more in the beginning

Confession time.....it was the cover which initially enticed me to read this, yup, I am that shallow LOL!! I But come on, look at it, isn't it so cute? Tick!

Then I read the back blurb and thought; hmmm, sounds pretty good, plus I love a New York set romance, again another tick!

Unfortunately, I didn't think it quite lived up to expectations, I found this a little tiring to read, but it is incredibly sweet - I mean borderline cheesy come sickly sweet, I thought that some of the stories was a little all over the place, it's like it couldn't settle for just one theme.

I have to say that despite my reservations about it, the pacing was pretty good, it halted in places but founds its rhythm pretty quick, it was the over sweetness that I couldn't seem to get past. For those who love the sweetness and light, feel-good, cheesy rom-com's; think of those tv movies that we all binge at Christmas and you will love it.

This is the first I have read by this author, will I read more? I think I will yes, because despite what I didn't like it did keep me entertained.

This sweet rom-com was like biting into a candy apple and savoring the sticky, lingering caramel flavor, much like the love story between the hero and heroine. While following much loved troupes in the romance genre, Female Preferred was humorous in a tongue in cheek way and took me along on a sweeping whirlwind in NYC.

The premise was right up my alley and the ending made my heart melt a little bit.

What an adorable rom-com!

We follow Brigitte, who has just arrived in NYC on a three-month visa. Her boyfriend, whom she was sharing an apartment with, leaves her for another woman and she needs to find a roommate. Connor answers her ad after arriving in NYC from the Midwest, chasing after a girl who is none too happy to see him. While I loved this book, I wish the author had given us more depth to the two main characters.

I would absolutely read another book by this author. I hope he continued with some of these characters!

I was looking for a comfort read when I came across this book. If I had it seen it last year, I would have loved this book but now it seems like the publishing market has produced many books similar to this one, even the illustration on the cover seems typical. To be clear, nothing wrong with the book or the author, I personally feel that there are too many books out there like this one for the experience to be enjoyable.

A cute and short love story set in NYC!
I admit that in the beginning is a little bit hard to get into it but it gets better! the characters were adorable and I loved how we get to see that every little detail and choice lead to something in the end

Loved this story about two strangers finding love in New York. Every little decision and chain of events that can change your life. Finding the person that "feels like home, and can make you laugh.

Such a cute romance! I loved the characters and the chemistry between them. It was overall a cute, wholesome romance and gets bonus points for being set in New York City!

This is a romance that has its miss and its wins, I won't talk about what is what, because that would be an spoiler, I will only say that give it time, it's worth it.

Such a sweet book! The cover is absolutely gorgeous! It was impossible not to be curious about the story after seeing it. At first, I wasn't so sure if I was enjoying it, but later on the characters grew on me. Sometimes it may seem like things are happening too slowly, and sometimes too rushed. But still, a great read for romance fans. 3.5 stars.

A sweet and spicy love story of Brigitte and Connor. How their path one evening, out of nowhere intertwined and they just happened to be with each other.

From a stranger how they evolved into a couple, a thing! Ivy is from East Germany and Connor is all American. Ivy works hard in a company by staying away from her family to achieve her dream career while on the other hand, Conner is an amateur writer who’s yet to publish his own book.
They both are single. Ivy need a roommate so she don’t have to live alone after her heartbreaks and need a roommate meantime, Connor is desperate about his ex girlfriend and also need a room to accommodate where he can stay and complete his book to a given deadline.
Living together they somehow drawn into each other and started complicated their lives and what happens next is almost too perfect to be a real love story so you need to read the book for yourself!

yes yes yes!!!!! this book is so deliciously good!!! please pick it up as soon as you can! i loved the characters and the settings and it was so sweet and precious!!!!

I really enjoyed this book and would like to read more by this author. I am going to look for more and will recommend to my book club.

This was a bit disappointing. The blurb made me think this was a cute chick lit romance, but it wasn't anything like that. There was potential but it was filled with mistakes, the dialogues were cringe and the prose was very confusing. Sadly I didn't like this one at all.

OMG. This book was so fun! The characters were unique and well rounded, I loved the way the chapters were split into themes. The chemistry between Connor and Bridgette was well crafted and so believable!! And I really liked their ending although I’m not usually a fan of time jumps. I wish it would have been longer!

Brigitte Muller was so excited with her move to New York City from her East-German Village. She loved the glamour of her new life as a successful banking analyst and thought her life was perfect. This her boyfriend moves out with another girl and she is in need of a roommate immediately. Connor moves to New York City to move in with his ex however she refuses to to reconcile with him so he is homeless. Fate brings them together and they become fascinated with each other. Things aren't perfect as he is unsure whether he can commit to her as he is still interested in his ex. Brigitte only has 3 months until her Visa runs out. This is a sweet romance between the characters.
