Kat is in Wyoming to write a travel article about Austin's adventure travel business. She's been through the wringer after exiting an abusive relationship - but has started getting on her feet again as a travel writer. for local publication in San Diego. Adventure travel is definitely not something she'd normally be doing.

I liked both Kat and Austin and even bought in to their insta-love. But a few things didn't really work for me. Kat's profession worked for the story - but probably wasn't realistic for today's journalism picture. She just didn't strike me as a journalist. Maybe a writer - but not not a journalist. I also found the supernatural aspect of the story to be a little off. Like - it added a point of interest - but seemed totally tangential in the end. It 100% could have been left out and I wouldn't have missed it. So if you are a fan of shifter romances - I don't think that aspect will be very satisfying for you. Also - I will say the cover for this was pretty awful - and would not have encouraged me to pick up the book.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Blood Moon By Vicki Crum

It’s a bit of a culture shock for travel writer Kat reviewing ‘Into the wild ‘ an adventure excursion group for a 3 day experience. For someone who is used to reviewing the comfort of 5 star luxury resorts ! The attraction between Kat and Austin the business owner gives a few steamy moments and the drama of a stalking ex husband.

A well written book that features some great description about the wilds of Wyoming. Which all lead to an interesting easy fast paced read with a few twists along the way. 4.5/5

This is a perfect example of why I fell in love with paranormal romance so many years ago. This new to me author does an excellent job of blending this story, it has just enough paranormal to compliment the plot without being overwhelming, just the right amount of suspense with the relationship building and romancing lead the path. I was instantly captivated by their chemistry and entertained by their nature trail adventures everything is so well described that I could visualize it. Very well written and highly recommend this one. I was so entranced that I wanted to gobble it up in one sitting but made myself not do that just so it would last longer. I am drawn to and look forward to reading whatever else this author has to offer.

This was a great story. Austin and Kat's story is well written and hot. I loved the scenes with the wild wolves and the ending was so good.

Katherine “Kat” Ingersoll travels to Wyoming for a 3-day experience with Into the Wild, an adventure excursion group, and then to write a critique for her travel magazine. More accustomed and comfortable reviewing 5-star resorts, Austin Sawyer is determined to give Kat a great experience in the wilds of his home state so that she will write a great review. Unbeknownst to them, Kat’s ex husband has followed Kat to Wyoming to attempt to take her back. While showing Kat the beautiful scenery of Wyoming, Austin begins falling for her -- setting up a confrontation with Kat’s ex along with a family secret that might give her second thoughts about a permanent relationship. I received a complimentary copy of Blood Moon and the opinions expressed are my own. #BloodMoon #NetGalley
