Cute and surprisingly realistic for the complete lack of realism if that makes sense. I like that people mentioned some obvious issues that would often get overlooked.

Not sure why The Power of Two hangs around NetGalley three years after its publication, but I gave it a try and found it quite slow. Good editing might have helped. I just couldn't finish it.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

The book was good. that cover is horrible
it was really interesting, and so cute even though the attraction was instant. But i didn't like the fact that the author hide everything in the beginning. I could not connect with the main characters, since their motivations were not clear from the beginning. The supporting characters were annoying and I really didn't like any of them.

Corey and Nick have each hit their respective ceilings in life. Vining is smart to hold back on all the details from the beginning. After a chance encounter, their feelings quickly move to the more romantic side of things. As the story progresses, the layers are peeled back so we can understand what led them to this point. There's quite a bit of retrospective action, which is where some of my stars were lost. Parts were handled well in some sections, but
some sub-plot lines could have been nixed to keep things moving.

this was an enjoyable read! it was really interesting, and so cute even though the attraction was instant. i love how Corey is so nice and motivating and knows the limit when it comes to Nick. and Nick was super cool in that one scene! i absolutely love that drama in the plot, it was unexpected, but it kept me reading and i couldn’t put it down at all.

i think, though, that Katie does not deserve Wes even the slightest bit. she was abit annoying and whiney. Wes deserves better!!
