This is a fun jock-nerd romance with plenty of banter thrown in! Megan has no idea what she needs, but she is believes being with someone like her is the key. Brandon is focused on football, but the offseason means plenty of time to rile up his brother’s new roommate. It’s no surprise when they both start seeing more in the other than they ever expected. Even though they both end up falling, I love that Brandon clearly falls first in this cute romcom!

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters. The main characters were Megan and Brandon.

Megan has land a job in science journalist. This new job is in New York and she must find an apartment to live at.  The place she finds has a roommate that is a guy. While living there she meets his brother. And find out he plays football. She doesn't like his brother at all or anything to do with football.

Brandon plays professional football. He like to visit his brother a lot. On one visit he meet his brother's new roommate. They don't get a long together.

This was fun story to read. It had action and drama. It had a few giggles throughout.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

The idea behind this story is what pulled me in - literally, opposites attract. One is a scientist while the other is a football player. Swoon, right? Kind of…

Story was just okay. Megan and Brandon’s love was evident from the beginning, which was lovely. But Megan as a character was quite a letdown. She’s cringy at best, especially when she downplays the roommate, Josh. When I say downplay, I mean when she discusses his closeted personality in a negative light. What her roommate does shouldn’t impact her! But, the author wrote it this way so I disliked the character overall.

The writing was smooth, banter was perfect for the most part, and the story flowed well together. For this alone, I’m giving it 4 stars!

Thanks for the opportunity to review!

I wish I would have read this one earlier, because it was a great read.

I know the STEM books are slowly becoming popular, and I love them, but there are a lot more misses than hits. This one was a hit, Megan's job is an interest one in the STEM field that I honest never thought of. Josh is a good character, and has a roommate he would be amazing, though I wanted to shake him a couple times throughout the book. Brandon is a star quarterback, and the chemistry/ banter right off the bat between him and Megan set the pages on fire.

I enjoyed the couple of serious situations that happened throughout the story, and how the characters went through it all. I would 100% say this a must read if you like Love Hypothesis and Space Junk, just know it's close door scenes, but the banter is worth the read.

I was just OK. This was an average romance novel, but that is all I can say. The plot was fine. The characters were fine. Everything was just fine.

Opposites Attract was fun and light. Megan moves in with a new roommate (Josh) that seems perfect for her, if it wasn’t for her pesky attraction to Josh’s NFL quarterback brother, Brandon. See, Megan comes from a football loving family and is militantly anti-jocks. But their friendly banter eventually turns into more.

I think Megan’s crush on Josh didn’t work for me as much. Josh’s actions made him look so selfish and immature and he used Megan. And Megan was stubborn. She didn’t feel a spark with Josh but since he seemed like the “perfect boyfriend” on paper, she ignored her attraction to Brandon.

I felt that Megan was a bit of an academic snob at times, acting rudely towards Brandon and his intelligence. Brandon was the star of Opposites Attract. He was sweet and vulnerable and wasn’t too afraid to show his imperfections or flaws.

Overall, Opposites Attract was a sweet and fun read with a good story progression and fun dialogue.

Thank you to NetGalley for the review copy.

This was a laugh out loud romantic comedy! I really liked both Megan and Brandon as characters and their banter was hilarious. Throw in the amazing amount of science trivia, the entire story kept me entertained. I was a little surprised at the lack of heat this book had (kisses but anything more was just inferred) but I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful read! Off to find more from this author.

A fun and light clean romance about a nerdy girl and a famous football player. While some of the actions and characterizations were extremely far fetched I enjoyed this book. It was fluffy and cute, would recommend to teenagers starting to get into romance books.

As my first Lee novel, I'm very pleased with how OA turned out! Lee is a gifted world builder and has great instincts with her character development and dialogue. I really liked Brandon and enjoyed that he was not only aware of his shortcomings but that he always tried to be better and do better around Megan. He wasn't pretending or being pressured by her, just a genuine desire to be the best person he could be because she tried to be her best self as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the Josh dilemma because I found it kind of weird, to be honest, and it made me want better for Brandon. I liked Josh, I just didn't like that he omitted the truth and that Brandon had to watch it and then possibly feel like second best. And it made me question Megan's observation and deduction skills as a scientist...haha. But in all honesty, it was a fun, flirty, snarky story with a lot of heart!

Megan and Brandon are great together! I love the banter they have back and forth and it reminds me of the relationship I have with my husband. I was rooting for them all the way!

The beginning of this book was a little cliché for me but after the first few chapters I was roped in! The fact that Megan liked Josh in the beginning added to the romance and intrigue of the book. Brandon is an absolute sweetie and Megan is wonderful too. I loved their banter, it definitely had me giggling, The ending was also so sweet and romantic! I would definitely recommend this book so if you’re feeling weary at the beginning of this book just keep on reading.

This was a great read for when you need something light and quick. The characters are likable, and I love a good nerd/jock love story. It moved quickly, and there was chemistry galore! Definitely recommended if you like chick lit.

I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. The chemistry between our Brandon and Megan was on point. The witty banter and the dolls was really amusing and made it easy to fly through. I have never dabbled in a sports type romance and I am really glad this was my first experience.

This was my first novel by this author and I know, without a doubt, that I will definitely pick up more of her work in the future.

Opposites Attract was a witty, sweet, romantic comedy that I think everyone will enjoy. It would make a great beach/summer read!

To be honest, this was one of my favorite books that I have read this year! I LOVED Megan and Brandon. I loved the secrets, the fun, the nerd and the jock. The jock (Brandon) was so much more than a jock. I feel in love with this book from page one. I cant wait to read more from Jacqueline Lee!!

I enjoyed this book! I liked Jacqueline's writing style and the book overall! I'll admit the whole storyline with Josh being gay but not saying anything to Megan was a bit annoying to me. I felt like it really took away from the overall greatness of the book and was unnecessary. But that's just my opinion! I liked the science and sports aspect of the book, I thought it worked well and was a refreshing read! Definitely something different.

I thought Megan and Brandon's relationship was adorable and very believable. I enjoyed their banter back and forth and the Barbies were great. Thank you to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review #OppositesAttract, it was a great read and perfect for the summer!
