This ia a collection of folk tales from the indigenous people of Greenland.

To Western White ears, they are all quite odd. A child is tormented because of his physical deformities, gains magic, and kills everyone in the village that made fun of him, which left only his foster mother, and an old man. Fun times. Another story tells of an old man who didn't like being teased, so he incased the children who mocked him, in a stone, until the parents begged him to be release them.

Nice illustrations, but there is no theme other than they are stories of children from a greater collection of stories.
