Natalie Walters books never fail to pull me in from the beginning and keep me hooked until the last page has turned and this first book in the series is no exception! Intense drama, relatable characters with depth and intrigue, and a thought provoking storyline that makes it impossible to put down.

This story really hit home for me especially with the 20th anniversary of 9/11. It reminded me that even though life has gone on, those personally impacted by those devastating events had the course of their lives altered and it still impacts their lives. It opened my eyes to how complacent we have been and that terrorism could easily strike again in many different forms. A very well written story with accuracy of the working of federal agencies and government.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

A wonderful book that gripped me from the start. Some of the storyline was predictable, but other parts were filled with unseen changes. An encouragement to develop strong relationships with work colleagues.

Lights Out is perfectly paced, delivering on the promise of another great romantic suspense by Natalie Walters.
Brenn worked hard to get where she is at the CIA, giving up everything including a future with Jack. Now her job could be on the line after she lost an Egyptian national who could possibly be a threat.
Jack works for a high security contractor SNAP connected to the US government. It’s been eight years since Brenn broke his heart and he never expected to see her again. Now he’s been asked to oversee her in an operation that could have global consequences.
This book shows the struggle that comes from relying on self and giving in to fear rather than trusting God in the choices we make.
The relationships depicted in the story were realistic and brought a feeling of family to the team. Perfect!
I was given a copy courtesy of Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group and this is my honest review.

CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.

Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn't at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It's hard to trust a woman who's already betrayed you.

Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning--the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.

Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn't trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world--and their hearts--hangs in the balance.

From the opening chapter managed to set the stage and pull me straight into the given narrative capturing my attention and compelling me to keep heading forward. What a ride this book was to read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lights Out by Natalie Water is my favorite book she has written.

Brynn is a CIA analyst who created a program to combat terrorism, however some think she has invited a terrorist into the program. Brynn is a workaholic and it took me a bit to like her because I was not sure what she had done to Jack in the academy.

Jack was my favorite character. He is in a special unit (SNAP) which might become a series. He doesn’t trust Brynn after what happened to them in the academy.

The book was a good balance of action and adventure as they figure out what is happening and revealing the characters. Jack and Brynn have to trust each other again and decide if there can be more again.

Brynn's career in the CIA hangs on by a thread as a foreign spy goes missing on US soil. To track him down the CIA brings in a SNAP team, led by Jack Hudson, a man she once betrayed. It's a race against time as they track down leads to an imminent terrorist plot. Jack has to answer the question, how do you trust someone who's betrayed you? While Brynn seeks to learn how to trust others when she's only ever relied on herself.

Lots of suspense here in this upcoming release by Natalie Walters. I recommend it for Christian fiction lovers.
