I thought this was a cute, easy read that was enjoyable. Rihanna was recently dumped by her boyfriend because of one disagreement. He kicked her out of the house they shared so she decided to get a fresh start in a new city. She chose to move to a city where her family had vacationed as a child - the last time she went there was 3 years ago for a bachelorette party - when she had a summer fling with a hot surfer named Joe.

Her plan is to open a restaurant with a cocktail bar so she moves early in order to begin renovations on a place she found. As luck would have it, her ex never paid her for her share of the house they bought together so the purchase on her new home fell through. She was renting an apartment but now that she needs a place to stay longer, nothing was available. Did I also mention that her landlord was none other than her summer fling, Joe? Who didn’t remember her. Yeah - I didn’t like that part.

They obviously still have feelings for each other, but Joe is afraid of commitment. Enter Rihanna’s ex who has realized his mistake and now wants to get back with her, a hunky carpenter working on her cocktail bar that wants to date her and settle down and Joe who can’t decide what he wants (except for the fact that he knows he doesn’t want anyone else to have Rihanna), and we now have an interesting story.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

Rihanna and Joe had a fling with each other years ago and didnt think they would ever see each other again as Joe was moving to Australia. A few years pass and as Rihanna’s relationship breaks down she finds herself making a life changing decision and moving to kittiwake cove to take over a restaurant and put her stamp on it turning it into a cocktail bar! Her new house isn’t ready so she’s staying in a short term apartment located next to a pub which happens to be owned by Joe! Joe has had his heartbroken also and isn’t looking for love or commitment. Throughout the whole book the authors descriptions of the beach, the water and the surf makes you feel like your in the water with the surfers and joe. But also when rihanna is in her bar the descriptions of her food and cocktails are mouthwatering. Rihanna and joe get closer overtime and eventually cave in to feelings and realise they love each other.

Thank you NetGalley, Teresa F. Morgan and Sapere Books for the copy of Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove. This is my personal review.
What does a girl need in her life to make herself happy? How does moving to Kittiwake Cove and opening a bistro/cocktail bar sound? This is what Rhianna does and she feels her life is going to be wants it to be. There are a few bumps in the road, but she knows things will work out. She never imagined she would run into a guy she had a fling with a few years ago.
I got lost in the pages as I read and the story had just the right combination of friendship, fun, romance and making dreams come true.
You will want to pick up this book and escape to Kittiwake Cove.

A slow paced book featuring Rhianna, who breaks up from a previous partner, moves are and set out to run a cocktail bar/bistro in a small seaside town.

An enjoyable and fun read. I am glad it is the start of a series because I hope we get to see more of her and see how her relationship and business develop. A fun and easy summer read, with a feel good factor.

Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove tells the story of Rhianna, who leave her life behind in Bristol to follow her dream of opening a cocktail bar and bistro. She moves to the small community of Kittiwake Cove where "so far everyone appeared to know everyone".

She stays above a pub in an apartment while waiting for the house she owned with her ex to be sold. Unfortunately this falls through and the apartment is booked up, so she has to move in with the pubs landlord Joe. Who she happened to have a summer romance with three years ago while holidaying in Kittiwake Cove.

She gets lots of attention from the locals, Nick the builder and Liam, Noah and Olly who are all helping renovate the bistro.

So which one of these lovely men will she pick or "could she rekindle what they'd had all those summers ago"[with Joe]? Will the renovations stay on track to make Rhiannas dream a reality?!

I was really fond of this summer read and wished I was in Cornwall drinking cocktails while reading this book. I also enjoyed the cocktails menu at the back of the book. I was glad to hear there will be a second novel following Tristan, Joe's cousin.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cocktails and a small beach town? Sign me up!!! There was so much potential for this book to be a 5 star read, but it was such a slow burn!!! While we saw a lot of connection between the main characters throughout the book, I felt unsatisfied when they finally got together. I wish they got together earlier so that we could have seen their connection and dynamic grow. Overall, this book was so fun and perfect for a vacation read if you like a slow burn.

Rhianna has just moved to Kittiwake Cove, and never thought old fling Joe would still be around. Will they have a second chance, or is he too much of a player for her?

Looking forward to the next book in the series

When you decide to pursue your dreams and stumble into love along the way.

Rhianna moves from Bristol to Kittiwake Cove to open a bistro / cocktail bar. When she arrives at Kittiwake Cove, she doesn't realise that she will be renting from a guy she hooked up with when she came for a bachelorette party several years ago. Joe is a laid-back surfer / bar owner who doesn't remember Rhianna from all those years ago. But as they start spending more time together, they begin to feel the spark.

While this book was well written, I felt like it wasn't correctly paced. There's a lot of fluff and then a lot happens in the end which was really frustrating. Don't get me wrong, we see a good friendship grow, but they never really communicate about their feelings. There was so much potential and, while we saw a lot of that throughout the book, I felt unsatisfied when they got together.

This is a really great book on people becoming friends and then becoming a couple, but it wasn't for me. I would have liked for the main characters to get together earlier on so we could see them explore their relationship a little more. Also several characters were talked about less and I really wish we would have seen Rhianna and Nick's friendship develop.

I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.

“Cocktails at Kittiwake” by Teresa F. Morgan
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received this from Netgalley as a new release! I’m shocked there aren’t more reviews on this one! It was pleasantly enjoyable! I loved the characters! This book is about Rihanna starting over after a bad breakup and being in a rut for the past year. She decides to move towards the beach about three hours away in Kittiwake (UK) where her family vacationed growing up. She was buying a local business on the water and renovating it into a Cockail Bistro. It’s been her dream to own her own business and use her sommelier skills! What she wasn’t expecting was Joe. Three summers ago they had a fling while she was vacationing with friends for a bachelorette (hen) party. She thought he was moving to Australia and wasn’t expecting him to be the local pub and apartment owner for where she was staying. She was surprised by her connection with him, but they couldn’t be together. He didn’t believe in relationships and she didn’t want a fling. She wanted to settle down and rock her new business. What will happen with Rihanna and Joe? Can they just be friends?

Cute and easy read about a woman who goes through a breakup and decides to start her life over in the beach town that she has happy memories of visiting with her family when she was younger. She gets help from her family to open a Bistro and while she’s getting it opened, she meets and befriends lots of the locals who help her make her dream a reality. Then she meets up with Jo, the local pub owner, with whom she has a history and while he helps her get the bistro ready, they fall in love.
While it was fairly cute, it wasn’t anything that super wowed me. I did think the chapter names being different drinks that kind of hinted at what the chapter was about was cute. And the recipes for the cocktails at the end was fun.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Since she broke up with her boyfriend, Rihanna decides to take a break, from love.

Moving to Kittiwave Cove, and now wanting to focus on her career, she wants to make her dream come true, that is to open a cosy cocktail bar.

But, she bumps into Joe, who is a pub manager, but also, he was her past holiday fling.

When she tells him what she’s planning to do, Joe, wants to help her feel at home in Kittiwake Cove, since she’s about to launch her business.

Spending time with him, abs the past connection still there, and also knowing he’s a player, Rihanna is once again falling for his charms.

Will Rhianna resist temptation and can she keep her focus on her new venture??
