Such a fun read! This is what I would call a "Sunday book", like it’s an easy, fun read perfect for a Sunday. Nothing too horrible happens and you know it'll probably end happily. If I’m to compare Bardot’s book to any other book, I’d compare it to the books of Swedish author Jonas Jonasson, this has a sort-of similar vibe to me.

This book is about a group of goddesses - Greek goddess Mnemowyne, Hausa (Nigerian) goddess Inna, Persian/Iranian goddess Axtis Khan and Thai goddess Phra Naret who are all stripped of their divinity and are forced to go around as mortals. They are looked upon as "irrelevant", and not believed in anymore in the eyes of the divine organisation FEM which impasse all goddesses from all different religions all over the world. Our quartet know they have to do something to live off and thusly they start looking around for work that fit them. As they all are thousands of years old they have a lot of knowledge in different fields (although with no paper trails – this is a smallish plot line that I would have developed more as its interesting!) to prove their knowledge in subjects such as history, mythology and language. The books’ title “Goddesses Inc.” is the company/blog our quartet starts to get a foundation to survive in the mortal world.

If I have one critique it would be that the conflict – these four being sacked and a plot line about someone stealing genuine historical artifacts and replacing them with fakes – isn’t that developed even though both conflicts are very interesting and something that I would have liked to have more information on. The sacking of the four characters is a present part but the conflict with the artifact is a bit .. forgotten – I think this plot line could have a larger part of the story as a whole without making it into a detective story. I also think that Phra Naret doesn’t get as much attention as the three (ex)goddesses which sometimes makes me think what her purpose is in the story.

As stated in my first paragraph, I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Fun, quite witty and just want I needed right now!
