The secrets. The lies. The betrayals. The steam. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES!!

The Damaged picks up where The Insiders left off, so you don't miss a beat in the story. I love Kash and Bailey's relationship and how it's evolving but with the pressures on them both, things start to crumble. Who to trust? Who's telling the truth? So many twists and turns and that ending..... my jaw is still on the floor! I can't wait for the next book!!

I was enjoying the first part of the book, but felt that not much was happening. Then the tides turned. It was non stop action and then abruptly ended. I wasn't really ready for the ending. It seemed disjointed from the rest of the book. I was hoping for more of a easy transition and let down. But it was like bam, and so many unanswered questions and unfinished business. I enjoyed the read and was glued to the last part of the book. However I wished more things would progress instead of weaving in more complications. I'm very curious to where this is all heading and how long until we find out. And another Mr Bastian?

This book was absolutely mind-blowing and epic in the best way possible. From start to finish I didn’t want to stop reading. I had to know what was going to happen and how it was going to happen and what was going to happen next!

Tijan nailed this story, I loved seeing more of Kash and Bailey as a full-blown couple!! Their love reminds me so much of Sam and Mason from Tijan’s Fallen Crest Series, and Kash is the ULTIMATE alpha male.

I won’t say anymore because I refuse to spoil anything, but just know this book will knock you on your butt. The twists and turns, and everything in-between will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Utter freaking perfection!!

What the freak!!?!??!?!?! I just finished and oh my gosh. The ending was definitely an amazing explosion of a cliffhanger. I thought this second installment was the last... there has to be a third book and a fourth and a fifth, and forever more. Lol The ending had me tearing up. The surprise ending had me turnt up! It took me a few days to read this but thats because I have three boys and it's summer time! I was enthralled from book one and this book shifted so smoothly and I loved every second of Bailey and Kashtons tale. The love and passion is real and feels real. It feels like I'm in this story and I'm rooting for them hardcore. I love Matt. I love Chrissy!!!!! I love Ser and Cyclone, they are the perfect siblings but my gosh the story is just full of details and I can feel the chemistry and family dynamic. Im a bit confused on Marie, I know there's more to that so im patiently waiting for that explanation. Anyways geeeeez this story swallowed me in and I lost track of when it would end so when I ended so abruptly I was shook. I didnt even notice I was at the end sadly. I need book three. Im so happy that I have this ARC so big thanks for Netgalley and TIJAN. Just wow. That ending. What the heck. What the heck is happening.. I'll be stuck on this. Im stuck. Lol The Bastion family is something I need more of. Help. Send Help. Send book 3, LOL!! Im really loving this series. LOVE!!!

This series is killing me in the best ways possible.
The growth in the relationships that Bailey started to form in book one was astronomical. Her family, her and Kash, even the relationship she had with herself.
I think Matt was probably my most surprising character, and that’s all I’m saying about him.
The twists and turns really do keep me on my toes, and I never can’t pinpoint where the hits are coming from. It’s like fist fighting with a blindfold, but give me multiple attackers and my hands are behind my back.
I cannot spoil this. But I am dyingggggg for the next release, and I know it’s so far away!

This is an honest review for an arc received.

Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ended.

Bailey Hayes is reeling from a tragic event. Submersing herself in school and Kash, she buries her issues. But all issues eventually come to the fore front. She is also dealing with some self-doubt until the air is somewhat cleared between her and her father. But unexpected news threatens to throw her into a tailspin. And tragedy once again strikes, this time to her core.

Kash Colello is playing a dangerous chess match. Trying to outmaneuver his grandfather is daunting. He’s relentless in his need to keep Bailey safe. But enemies are coming from all sides. Just when he thinks he’s finally getting ahead the unimaginable happens. The secrets he keeps are meant to protect Bailey. But what happens when she is dealt another devastating blow. Will he be able to get her through it?

5 fan-freaking-tastic stars!!!! OMG Tijan, this story blew my mind, literally. The twist, the turns, the undying love and unbelievable heartbreak, this book has it all. But the surprise at the end??? I need the last book like yesterday. Well done ma’am. Well freaking done.

The Damaged was very similar to The Insiders in many ways. It was addictive in that "I don't know why this is so addictive" way. It felt just as messy and as brilliant as The Insiders. So much was happening in this book, but it also felt like nothing was happening. The plot seemed to be leading nowhere until all these little things came together toward the end in several powerful scenes. That is exactly what happened in The Insiders, so it felt perfect for this second book.

Bailey continued to be the underdog I rooted for in The Damaged. She did all the same things she was doing in the last book, while also starting graduate school. She was going through a very intense time. Her new experiences with her school peers brought a new dynamic and moved the story in a way I wasn't expecting.  I liked how Bailey came to peace with some things while still struggling with others.

Hello, Kashton Colello. It's so nice to finally get your POV! Being able to read his thoughts and what he was up to made his relationship with Bailey feel more real and less one sided. I felt like I finally had some understanding as to why they were together. Kash still had his mysterious vibe, but I wasn't sad that it was a little less mysterious than the first book without his POV. His perspective was a big plus in my opinion.

As always, Tijan's side characters were fantastic. I enjoyed the new additions of Melissa and the rest of the school gang. Matthew was a little easier to stomach this time around, and I loved the growth of his character. Same for Bailey's parents. I also wouldn't mind getting to know Torie and Tam a little better. They're such a good support system for Bailey. And, like like last book, I even enjoyed the bad guys.

I really enjoyed reading The Damaged. If I had to compare it to the first book, I would say I liked it even more. I didn't have many expectations going in other than Bailey's story continuing and maybe getting some answers, but I feel like I got much more than that. Kash's POV and the graduate school stuff were fun surprises. I loved how dynamics were changing and where the story is headed. Oh, and maybe I should mention the cliffhanger I need answers to NOW. That was something I didn't see coming.

I absolutely freaking love Tijan's work ever since Fallen Crest and this series has sucked me in as well. I'm gonna need more like now. Would highly recommend this book.

When I got this opportunity to review this book I was ecstatic. I was left hanging with the Insiders and couldn't wait for more from this story and from this author. Tijan never seems to disappoint with her characters and stories.

At the end of Insiders we are left with a twist with Kash & Bailey. The Damaged begins shortly after the end of The Insiders.

I love how Kash is with Bailey especially after he admits his love for her. Bailey is trying to deal with the aftermaths of all the issues that happened in the first book while Kash is trying to prepare for a psychological war.

There is so many webs and layers with this story. With Bailey trying to fit in with her new family, while at the same time fit in with her fellow students and into a world she was never part of. But in reality she just wants to be normal but there are so many things stopping her from enjoying the simple things, like friends and football games.

There are so many other moving elements as well with Calhoun, Quinn, Marie, Theresa, Payton, Peter, Matt, Victoria, Hoda, Camille and then we are left with a couple of big ones at the end of this book leaving us hanging and needing more. There are so many more unanswered questions and I am dying because as of right now we don't even have the name of book 3 so that means it will be forever until we find out what happens, since the release date of this one is Feb.8, 2022!!! OMG it feels forever. I NEED MORE!!!! Gah!

Well even though it will feel like forever it will be worth the wait as I absolutely LOVE this series. I was hooked from the 1st page of the Insiders and I am completely enraptured into this series.

4.5 Stars

The Damaged was absolutely amazing .It picks up from the first book in the series (The Insiders) it was everything I hoped for but also more than I could have ever imagined.

Kash and Bailey really brought all the feels into this book. The whole plot was incredible, it takes and the twists thrown upon us and I can’t wait for book three to see what in store for Bailey, Kash and the Francis family next.
If you haven’t read any Tijan’s books by now, read this series one and you won’t be disappointed.

I received a ARC from St. Martin's Press through NetGalley for an honest review.

Wow! I’m almost at a loss of words at this ending! This suspenseful story continues with some angst, twists, jealousy and a whole lot of confusion for Bailey. Kash is immersed into a complicated war with his corrupt grandfather which has him distracted, secretive and trying to stay ten moves ahead of his enemy. Meanwhile Bailey is trying to stay afloat after a traumatizing event by keeping busy with her new school, friends and avoiding disturbing thoughts. A whole lot of moving pieces kept me glued to this story and I found it highly entertaining and hard to put down. I felt Bailey’s frustrations to my core because how strong can one person be? How much faith can you have in a person who won’t share details that can come and bite a chunk out of your soul? I’m going to be over here...rocking...waiting to see what Tijan tosses at me next while she smirks in her chair.

Tijan jumps right back into the story leaving me with a whiplash so great I am still reeling after turning the last page. This world is so unlike anything Tijan has ever written, and I feel it is by far her best work yet. The twists, turns, and drops will keep you on a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions from the beginning to the end. This story is so tightly woven with intricate details there are no good places to take a break. Be prepared to devour this book in one sitting leaving everything you need to get done for later.

Bailey's world continues to be rocked, but having Kash by her side does provide some relief in all the upheaval. Being a Francis definitely comes with a bunch of headaches that only scratched the surface in the first book. We get a closer look into the villains, and the people looking to make the Francis family and Kash pay. Bailey transitions into a new part of her life with a growth, and confidence that is needed. We see more sides to Kash that helps his charcter become more relatable. Matt, Bailey's brother, provides some great comedic relief. New charcters are introduced while others take a backseat, and still others move from the background forward.

This book ends with yet another huge cliff hanger. I find myself in this bittersweet state of having the privilege of reading an extremely early copy, but having to wait months to find out more.

I got an early copy of the ARC from the publisher, St. Martin's press, through netgalley.

TIJAN!!!! I am not OK!!
I’m not even sure where to start or what to say except Victoria & Calhoun truly deserve what happens to them. What a witch🤬 Ugh how can one old man be so evil?? I can not wait until Kash destroys him.

I absolutely love that Bailey has become part of her family. I think the bonds that she has made with each of her siblings will carry her through the next book. Seriously #teamBatt

We get to see a bit more of Kash & Bailey as a couple and alone. I love how she & Kash just get each other. Especially the fact that he knows her so well & can kind of predetermine what she will need. He truly will do anything for her. I hope they stay as strong as they are now…

All of Bailey’s classmates are so cool & unique. Melissa is so sweet & it’s sort of cute how Bailey is the one who’s taken her under her ‘social’ wing;) Liam & Scott I can’t wait to see who Melissa chooses🤗

Hello—to the newest Chicago resident. We’ve been waiting for you👀

Fave Quotes:
‘Holy fuck. She was home. My home. My everything.’—every girl wants to be her guy’s everything💓

“Okay. Calm down, brother.” He winked at me over his shoulder. “Let’s find our seats.” Whoa. Wow. That wink . . . I was the one who just learned what a combustible climax was. Melissa sidled close to me. “How do you handle that?” I spoke, “In bed. As much as possible.”—-YASSSS girl!

The Damaged was fascinating from the first word to the last.

A few words was all it took for reality to fade and I was fully engulfed inside this world.

I honestly don’t know where to begin, of course I went into it not knowing what to expect, but even so, Tijan delivered an epic read that has my mind spinning.

Bailey’s starting graduate school with bodyguards by her side. Now that the secret is out on who her father is and her relationship with Kash, people have begun to take notice of Bailey everywhere she goes.

She was making new friends while others were making assumptions on who Bailey was and the life she had led to that point.

Bailey’s emotions were delivered with a raw intensity, every one of them left a searing mark inside of me. Tijan’s carefully crafted words, once read, transfuse the emotions of the character straight into your heart.

I was completely mesmerized, I couldn’t stop, one page to the next had your heart racing and your head reeling with thoughts of what was to come.

There was a shift in Bailey and Kash’s relationship, more intense in every way, and more open in others. You could feel the burning chemistry between them with every interaction. They breathed a little easier just by being near one another, and when they weren’t you could feel the heaviness they carried when they were apart.

Kash’s alpha protectiveness reached new levels, and this man’s steamy swoon factor is rising well above the average book boyfriend.

An all time favorite read.

A heady blend of soul searing chemistry, a protective alpha hero, a strong intelligent heroine, intense emotions, spine chilling suspense, heart-stopping shocks, steam, and witty banter to lighten the blows to your heart.

I received a copy of this with thanks to the publisher and Netgalley, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

When i tell you this book broke my heart im not bs'in you. Even starting this review brings tears to my eyes. I need book three like yesterday. I was honored to receive an advance copy of The Damaged for an honest review. I love Bailey and Kash. Their feelings for each other seem like a once in a life time, reach for the stars, world series kinda love, and it is. We start The Damaged with Baily starting school and "working" through the trauma of a second attempted kidnap, starting her masters program and continuing to be the love of Kash's life. As we see some of the same characters from book one its the growth for me. Seeing how everyone deals with what Quin did. One thing i know, the Bailey i know (i know i know its a book but come with me) will NOT break. I love this book but when i tell you i cried, i boo hood. I also re-read to put myself into this world again. I still have questions, Payton, Maria, Liam:Melissa, when will Matt grow up and def C. But till than ill continue to live these quotes.

"We can still go back. Lets go back, honey. Lets go back to being normal" (MY HEART!!!)

"And i didnt want to experience it, so i left my body once more"
