Queen tijan has done it again. This picked up right where the insiders finished and the plot is incredible. I loved seeing kash and baileys relationship and dynamic develop but also them as individuals. The character development was really well done. Also, rich, hot smart book boyfriends written by great authors can rarely be a miss.

I loved the mystery, family secrets plot lines from the first novel and loved seeing it continue here. So many questions answered but so many new ones too😭.

I can't handle cliffhangers but this one left me shook I absolutely can't WAIT FOR THE REVENGE.

That ending. It is the kind of ending that has you pleading for book three. I hadn't previously read any of Tijan's other books, but after starting this series I can fully understand why she has the following she does. From page one, to the end - I couldn't put it down. Bailey and Kash's relationship continues to mature and their dynamic feels like it makes more sense to me now that you get to know Kash better through his past. Bailey's arc in book two was so well done. She is struggling with PTSD from the events of book one, and the process was raw and real. Kudos to the author. I did enjoy the fact that the relationship between Bailey and her father is explored more in book two, and that you get to see a softer side to him.

I was given a copy of this story to read; but thoughts and opinions are all my own. Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the chance to read this book!

The Damaged is an action packed second book in a trilogy and I was so hooked. I gasped out loud more than once while reading. Again, while it is promoted as a romance, there is very little of that parsed throughout the story. This is full of family drama and tension. I really enjoyed this second book much more than the first. It ends on a cliffhanger so I am so glad that I can now read the third book thanks to St. Martin's.

Thank you to St. Martin's and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I can always count on Tijan to write a novel or series I become addicted to and cannot put down. The Damaged definitely did not disappoint. Always recommend this author to people looking for fast paced New Adult.

After the events on The Insider and new discoveries about her life and Kash's life, hoping to put it behind her, Bailey settled into her new life as the daughter of Peter Francis. She's attending grad school, but already dealing with the reprocusions if being a billionaire's daughter and dating even richer boyfriend. People who want to pretend to be her friend for her family and connects or they think she doesn't deserve to be there. But now Kash's grandfather, Calhoun, is back and upending their lives.

I like how the book highlights the good and the bad of people, we are flawed and sometimes do thing swirhoit rhyme or reason. Bailey has PTSD from what she's been through and on top of that she doesn't know who's a real friend and who isn't. There's a lot of moving parts with the book, the emotional toll Bailey is dealing with and the constant threats from various people. It's an amazing sequel.

This is the second book in The Insider Trilogy You have to read the first book The Insiders or you will be lost. Bailey was once an insider and is not anymore and she is living the life she never ever dreamed that she could have. She and Kash are in love and living this life together but Baily is trying to get over almost being kidnapped and losing her life for the second time. The man who did it though is a person you never in your life would expect to ever do something like that to you. Quinn might not have been her mother but she was her fathers wife but she is gone now and Bailey has to deal with the mess she has left behind. Things might have been a little easier too if she wasn't at her fathers estate with a woman who looks just like Quinn looking out for her siblings. The woman sure can deal with more than I can. I think that would have driven me to the brink of insanity really. But she and Kash are fire and he will protect her with his whole being if he needs to. This story will hook you from the very beginning and leaving you breathless. You do not want to miss this bad boy!!!

Finally, Book 2 and there is DRAMA!
I really loved the first book and The Damaged is a continuation. You need to read this series in order to get the full story and know the significance of the events as they happen.
Bailey goes to college which creates security nightmares for Kash and the rest of her team. There is drama, loads of drama! It seems the more Bailey tries to be a normal teenager going to college like everyone else; she is quickly reminded that she is not a normal teen and danger looms around every corner!
Book 2 ends on a cliffhanger, we'll see what happens next in book 3!

Unfortunately, this series just isn’t for me. I’m sure many people will love this, but it’s not something I’m enjoying.

The Damaged by Tijan had me so consumed I didn't do a damn thing yesterday besides take the kids to school and picked them up!
I was enchanted with book two.
I immediately jumped in and couldn’t put it down.
This was everything I was anticipating it to be.
The plot captivated me from the first page.
Suspenseful, intriguing and beyond emotional, Tijan wrote this one with pure perfection!
And these characters!!!! Don't get me started.... Swooning!
The secrets and drama are expertly and skillfully done. The romance was freaking fire as I was hoping it would be!
The Damaged kept me right on the edge of my seat!
Starting book three in the morning an I can wait!

DNF'd very early on. Less than 10 percent in. I am very thankful to the publisher for granting me an early copy. Sadly I think I am done with this author.

What a continuation, and I am still looking forward to more! I am loving this story. The suspense. The emotion. The romance. It is all perfectly balanced and I could not put this book down. Tijan has me completely captivated and dying to read more of these characters. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Tijan is back with the next book in the addicting Insiders Trilogy and y'all... what a journey this new release was. Im a huge Tijan fan and have been from the beginning and she knows how to pack a serious punch in her books. This beauty? No different

Packed to the brims with all the feels, The Damaged hooked me hard and fast.. and left me needing so many more answers in a whole lot of ways by the time the last page rolled around.

The Damaged was crazy intense, suspenseful, twisty and steamy in all the important moments and my heart... this crew has totally stolen a piece of it.

I cannot wait to get my greedy hands on the last book in this brilliant trilogy and find out.. everything.

I highly recommend this book.

I did not read the first book in this series, and felt this counld not be read alone. I was missing too many details With that being sid I did enjoy this bokk and felt it was well written. It did have its up and downs, and some suspese. With that being said I am basing my review off of this book alone and not the first one in the series. Bailey and Kash both have a lot going on behind the scenes with their families. Things are not easy for both of them as their lives are both strung in a tight web..
I thought this was agood read, however it had some slow parts for me. I would defineatly tead another book by TIjan.

I have been a Tijanette since Fallen Crest High. I love what Tijan writes, and her stories are so engaging that I check her website every day to see what is coming next!

The Damaged is book two of Tijan's The Insiders trilogy. If you are familiar with how Tijan structures her stories, you can read The Damaged without reading book one, but really, don't. You will miss out on so many details and story beats that it just won't be the same kind of amazing read if you don't read The Insiders first.

I was fully engrosed in the second installment of Bailey and Kash's story and I can't wait for the conclusion of this trilogy! . It isn't often that I have to re-read a book to review it, but I was so caught up in "reader's trance" that I didn't take any notes for my review. It is just THAT GOOD.

Thank you St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for sending me this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the first book in this series, but unfortunately this one didn’t live up to all the hype I had for it.
It’s hard to go into the details of the book without spoiling it.
The couple weren’t always together as Kash was always gone. Back and forth, back and forth. And when he was there, it was just physical. Yeah, it was steamy but boring. I actually skipped those part and I never do that. Lol

The cliffhanger at the end made no sense to me. Mostly for shock value and it also fell flat.
I guess I was expecting a lot more after that first book. I’m not interested enough to continue this series.

YOU GUYS!!! You need this book! I just finished it and OMG, Tijan killed me! The Damaged was everything I wanted and more in a book! The pace and storytelling kept me glued to the pages from start to end. This book was phenomenal.

……. :)

I finished this while I was at work and was :O. THE ENDING? HELLO?

I really am getting so wrapped up in this series that it is stressing me tf out. It's another one where when I'm not reading it, I am thinking about it. Unbelievable.

Kash and Bailey are back with even more drama. Being Peter's daughter has introduced her to a whole new life and when she tries to stay somewhat invisible in grad school, other people can't just let her be. Determined to hold her head high, she ignores it until she can't anymore which just so happens when a few problems come forward. She's found her support system but things are strained and Bailey's defence mechanism is avoidance. The only person she can face is Kash but even with him, she isn't being honest. Which is fine because he isn't either.

This book is filled with frustration in so many ways. All these characters have so much crap going on it is actually insane. Bailey needs therapy. ACCCCCTUALLY, they all need therapy. Like... badly. Non-negotiable therapy. I just need the communication to increase by a WHOOOOLE bunch because they are not talking and everyone desperately needs to talk to everyone. This is the one thing that is KINDA annoying but I am about to read book 3 and am hoping there is a reason for being so tight-lipped.

The end of this book is RUDE though dude. I WAS SO ANXIOUS AND THEN I READ WHAT HAPPENS? I'M NOT OKAY. ESPECIALLY AFTER THE FAMILY VACATION. NO. N o. I will not get over that.

The Damaged by Tijan is the second in The Insiders trilogy and picks up right where the first leaves off. Being a fan of Tijan’s work I was excited to get the chance to dive back into this world of high-profile drama and family secrets.

Bailey is still feeling the after affects of the attempted kidnapping that has rocked her to the core. Trying to return to some semblance of normalcy she is excited to finally start the college program that will allow her to develop her tech skills, but unfortunately for her, the misconception that it was daddy’s influence and not her own abilities to get into the program has left her ostracized, while also being in an unwelcome spotlight. Oh, and her boyfriend Kash has also recently been revealed to be one of the most powerful men in the world, no pressure.

Unlike with the first we are given Dual POVs of both Bailey and Kash which gives us the ability to understand the depth of their relationship. After living in the shadows for so long, Kash now has more power than he knows what to do with, and his connection with Bailey is the one thing that can keep him grounded. His desperation for Bailey was a notable contrast to the visage he displays to the rest of the world, and the fireworks between them are explosive.

I will forever be impressed with Tijan’s ability to recap details in a way that doesn’t feel like an info dump. Having been awhile since I read the first book I was concerned that I wouldn’t remember enough of the plot to be able to enjoy the story, but much to my relief within a few pages I was reintroduced to all the characters I enjoyed in the The Insiders, as well as details that brought those important plot points to the forefront of my memory. (Rereading my review of the first book also helped)

What I will say is that The Damaged worked successfully as the middle book of a trilogy. This was centered more around getting to know the characters better and setting up the plot for what will no doubt be an epic final book. I found myself starting and stopping more than I remember doing with the first, and I believe that may not have been the case had I been able to binge read the series all at once. While I found the middle a bit slow, other than the scenes specifically between Kash and Bailey, we hit full speed once we got to the end and I was left with my jaw on the floor. I have high hopes for the end of the series and cannot wait to see how Bailey brings the powerful men who dared cross her to their knees.
