Well this book officially did it. I finally accepted the fate of a DNF list. I get that this book has an audience and it’s clear the targeted demographic can find enjoyment out of these books because they are popular enough from conversations that I have with other readers. For me, it was truly something I could not enjoy and couldn’t even find something to appreciate- and I say this as a mom who is definitely
engrained in the community and social dynamics this book portrays but it just felt so contrived and silly.

Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman was hilarious. You will fall in love with the main character. Well written with great character development, this is one of my favorite series!

Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman
This is the third book from author Laurie Gelman. Jen Dixon from Overland Park Kansas is the mother of three and the grandmother of one. Her oldest two girls are adults and her youngest from her second marriage is in fifth grade. She again this year is the room mother. Her emails to the other class parents and her inner monologue keeps you in stitches the entire time you’re reading this book. She’s been banded down a huge project from the head of the PTA she has to put together a team and raise $10,000 for new tablets for the fourth and fifth graders. Lighthearted and funny make these books worth their weight in gold! I can’t wait for the next installment.

Moms who have dealt with any aspects of their child’s school will love this, it’s always a treat to be immersed in the world the author created.

Jennifer is living my dream life. In her early 50s (no, I'm not in my 50s yet, shame on you for thinking that), she is training to be a spin instructor. No not at @peloton that's MY dream, not hers. Plus get this, she owns not one but 3 (THREE) yoga studios. This is the life! And yes I know my pose doesn't match hers. I went with eagle. Dare to be different people!

This book is hysterical. Seriously LOL funny. Jennifer is the mom of three and her youngest is in 5th grade, while her oldests are adults living outside the home. One is so old, she made Jennifer a grandma already.

It's been a while since my girls were in elementary school, so my room mom days are behind me along with all those peer pressure volunteer events. I'd be lying if I said this book didn't bring out a little ptsd in me. That was a very stressful time a mom who worked full time outside the home. But alas, I survived.

I loved how Jennifer gave people nicknames. Fun fact, I did the same thing. One of my daughters friends was named Johnny crazy hair. And... She told him. So then we had a lesson about safe spaces and how what's said at home stays at home 😳😆

This is book 3 in a series and was great as a stand alone, but I'm personally bummed I didn't read them in order. But you can bet I'm going back to read them.

My only complaint? The fact this hasn't been scripted into a sitcom! This needs to be on TV. STAT!

Jen's back with her snarky emails, quick comments and good humor....but.....
After reading the first 2 books in the series, this book seems a little repetitive and....nothing really happens. No conflict, no drama, nothing... even all the drama with Maude is resolved with little to no complications.

I'll give it 3 stars because I love the characters and I'm happy they're back.

I read Class Mom several years ago and enjoyed it, so I requested this one when I saw it. This was fine. I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. There was a lot going on - I feel like there was one (or two) too many storylines. I did listen to it, and I liked the narrator.

Sadly, I did not get to listen to this audiobook. I received it and very shortly afterwards, it was archived. But I heard from a reliable source, that Laurie Gelman has an incredible sense of humour. I was really looking forward to listening to this book.

This was a fun addition to the Class Mom series. I don't think anything will beat the first one for me, but this installment was effective in showing how moms change through different seasons of life. Here we find Jen juggling a prepubescent son, an aging mother, a daughter who is now a single mom, a new career, her marriage, friendships, and as always her responsibilities as class mom. It makes for quite a ride. I always enjoy Laurie Gelman's sarcasm and humor while still showing the humanity and compassion amongst moms.

Hilarious, witty, and perfectly wholesome, this book gives a satirical insight to how crazy some health nuts can be with storytelling that provides the perfect does of reality and happy endings.

This book was ok. I started to get bored about halfway through. I just didn't care that much about the character. Also, I listened to the audiobook and Laurie Gelman did a decent job with the narration but I was thinking more about her the author rather than believing I was listening to the character talk.

This year, Jen has a co-class mom to help. That's a great thing, because Jen has agreed to chair the committee planning the most important fundraiser of the school year.

Jen had been practicing yoga to help ease stress. When her favorite yoga instructor left, she turned to spin. When her favorite spin instructor left, she became an instructor. Now, she's looking for venues to hold free classes to build a following.

We can't forget Margo, Jen's toddler granddaughter. Jen's been helping with childcare. She's also fighting to prevent Margo's other grandmother from taking Margo to India.

The icing on the cake is Jen's parents. With each visit, they're a little more lethargic and out of touch. When they begin talking about imaginary people living in their basement, Jen knows it's time to take action. It's a miracle that her head doesn't explode!

I loved Yoga Pants Nation just as much as I loved Class Mom and You've been Volunteered! I would highly recommend this title to anyone who loves women's fiction.

The third Class Mom novel is funny and fun, just like the other two. Gelman again narrates and does a great job. This year, Jen finds herself in charge of the school fundraiser, while also handling all the antics of her kids and parents. I was much more impressed with how well she used Kansas and Kansas City geography in this one. Well done!

What a relatable cute idea of a book! I have not read the two previous novels by this author, but now I am motivated to do so. This was a light-hearted, easy read, but nothing super unique or life-changing. Cute fast read. Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for a copy of this book for an honest review.

I loved Class Mom & You’ve Been Volunteered & was so glad to read Yoga Pant Nation, by Laurie Gelman.. I want a friend like Jen Dixon, from Overland Park, Kansas. She is witty and so funny. I would appreciate getting a letter from this class mon.. Yoga Pant nation picks up, when Jen’s youngest is in 5th grade and it’s her last year as class parent.. Her older girls are settled, somewhat and her parents are seeming to age much quicker.. As she tries to get her spin cycle certification, be the best mom, class mom and daughter.. we get to see take care of all.. with laughter and silliness. I love that this story has such heart and yet can make fun of itself.. I love a bit of humor and this story has it all.. You could read this as a stand alone, it’s that good.. but if you haven’t read the first two books, I would. I have really enjoyed this series and I look forward to Gelman’s future books.. The

Was unable to listen to this one. I damaged my phone and had to get a new one. When I looked on my net galley app all my audiobooks were gone.

I liked the description of this book but could not listen to the narrator on audio. Very unappealing voice, couldn’t continue on past just the first few chapters. I will give the book a try.- still interested in the story. A great example of how a narrator (I realize in this case the author) can make or break it for audiobooks. Did not finish.

I love these books! Laurie Gelman is such a funny author. I feel like she 'gets it'! The characters are very likeable. Write more!!

I'm a Jen Dixon fan for life and this was the perfect end to the series! This did feel a bit unnecessary and could have stopped at two, but I always love Jen's humor and antics.

I feel like I'm not well equipped to review this because I didn't read the first two books in the series. But, I enjoyed it! There was plenty of story here to keep me interested & I may just go back and read the others now!
