A great read for the soccer mom set. Some real laugh out loud moments. No need to read the author's other books in order to enjoy this one... but you'll probably want to read them after. Great stuff.

This novel follows the exploits of class mom Jen Dixon as she navigates 5th grade with her son Max. On top of that, she is dealing with parent issues, her granddaughter, and a new foray into becoming a spin instructor.

The novel was funny and entertaining, easy to listen to and follow. It did not take itself too seriously and is a novel many people can relate to!

I enjoyed the narrator overall but would have liked a bit more intonation throughout the reading.

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Jen Dixon is back in the final installment of the Class Mom trilogy. Readers are once again in for a fast, hilarious ride throughout Jen’s last year of class mom. Times haven’t changed: the kids still have their slew of issues and Ron still has his yoga studios. With hilarious adventures and classroom mishaps, this book will bring joy to anyone who has listened or read the other two novels by Laurie German.

This novel was a quick listen and was made truly special as it was read by the author.

I have read and enjoyed Gelman's previous books in this series so I knew I was going to love this one as well and it did not disappoint. Jen Dixon and her sense of humor juxtaposed with serious and real struggles of juggling midlife with kids, school obligations, career, and parents allows you to laugh at the absurdity of life while bringing a lot of heart to it.

This short book covers marriage and exes, navigating custody, taking care of aging parents, trying to get a new career off the ground, finding ways to raise money for a school auction and more. Gelman's ability to blend heart and humor into these otherwise serious and complicated issues makes it a joy to read and laugh as you shake your head and cheer for her and her characters as they navigate life and its complexities.

full of heart, full of laughter.

Ok I just have to say I did not read the first two books, but I am going to now. You know how sometimes you find the right book at the right time? This was definitely the book for me. I was laughing so hard I cried a few times in this book and everyone needs a good laugh like this!
I mean it's completely relatable!
Jen is taking on more than she can chew! Jen is dealing with her elderly parents, her daughter, being the class mom sending out the emails and achieving her dream job of being a spin instructor!
The characters are fun! From Jen to Jen's Mom to her granddaughter, they are sooo much fun and I laughed too much! I do have to mention the imaginary people in the basement in Jen's mom's house. I loved the satire type humor on all the emails to the parents and the different struggles that she was dealing with! I loved that. This book was very realistic (when dealing with everything a mom does) and also hillarious!
I loved the Tom Hanks quote! I loved that soo much!
I listened to the audiobook after I read the book and I have to say that the audiobook made it sooo much better and soo many more laughs! It was soo amazing! So, while it does kind of remind me of a diary of a wimpy kid book for moms. I still enjoyed it a lot and I loved the realness of what it is like to have kids and everything. I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a good laugh and who understands the challenges of someone who is trying to work through everything and taking on as much as they could!

I can't say how much I love this series and the characters. It is hilarious to see the other side of what is going on with parents since I am on the teacher side. I would highly recommend the audiobook. I love how the author reads her own book.

Jen Dixon is back as Class Mom for her son's final year in elementary school. Like the two previous books in the series this book will make you laugh out loud many times. It was nice to come back and visit the characters again and see the growth that they have all made. I think the plot of this book was a bit more chaotic then the other two but if you like the series, this will be enjoyable.

The author is the narrator of all three books and she does an incredible job. This book can easily be enjoyed in a day because once you start, good luck stopping.

Ok, so this book was mostly about white, middle class problems, and read like a checklist. I couldn’t find a plot, or a hook, and it ended up being quite racist. What’s wrong with a man wanting shared custody of his daughter? What is wrong with a grandma wanting her granddaughter to learn about her cultural background? I found that arc of the story offensive and the resolution of said-arc was anticlimactic.

Audio review: I adore audiobooks that are narrated by the author. I feel like it really ensures that the book is interpreted exactly as intended, with all the voices and inflections that the author had in mind while writing it. Audiobooks narrated by the author always make me at least 50% more interested in listening rather than reading.

I thought the pacing was perfect, and was able to listen to this one at the maximum available speed as the narration was clear and articulate. The production was top-notch.

Book review: This whole series was so fun! I love Jen and her snarky no-BS attitude. They are the perfect light, fun, guilty-pleasure read. Don't go into it expecting high-brow literature or a scintillating plot, but if you enjoy a fun, jokey, momlife book, this one is for you.

I love the drama of the first two books, and we got some of that in this one too. It also tackled some more real-life issues, which was a nice change of pace.

Although this could be read as a standalone, I believe it would be much more interesting to the reader to have gotten more background on Jen in the first two books.

Oh my gosh Laurie Gelman does it again! I loved her first two books and she is back with Jen and the gang! I loved this one and visiting all these characters again. Laurie is a great narrator and this was just so good, I finished it in a day! If you want to laugh out loud then you will want to check this one out! I highly recommend all her audios!

If you have a child in school you might know this mom. She might be your friend, enemy, or frienemy, but I have met her. Full of energy, kind of self-absorbed, no filter, and always overcommitted. Yoga pant nation is the third book in Jen Dixon's life saga. I did not read the first two books, but I had no problem catching up. The book is good focusing on the day-to-day drama of Jen and her family. The story is funny although it sometimes borders on "you can't say that". If you have ever watched a Vlogger's daily vlogs on Youtube, then that is the vibe I got. (Also, I love a vlog, so that's a good thing for me)

Jen has a lot on her plate, Spin instructor, part-time babysitter for her granddaughter, head of the fundraising committee at school, class mom, just scratches the surface of her day-to-day activities. When her parents start acting strange, and her granddaughter's other grandmother comes to town we see
how Jen handles the added stress in her busy life.

Laurie Gelman narrates the audio version of Yoga Pant Nation. It took me a little while to become accustomed, but I was easily able to distinguish between the characters when they were speaking. The tone and emotion of the narration were very good as well.

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the early audio version. This is my honest review.

I was so happy when this audiobook became available to give a listen! I have enjoyed Laurie Gelman‘s other work so couldn’t wait to hear the continuing adventures of these characters and I LOVE that she was the narrator. I devoured this book in two days (my dogs were happy with the extra long walks!). This book checks many boxes for me: parenting, friendships, midlife struggles, aging parents, marriage, and the list goes on all with laugh out loud moments sprinkled throughout.

Jen Dixon is class mom extraordinaire - she may be irreverent, but she gets stuff done. This year, she's leading the charge to raise $10K for new Chromebooks for the 5th grade class. But there's a lot more to her than that - she's also getting certified to teach spin classes and babysitting her granddaughter Maude. When Maude's other grandmother shows up for Christmas, the chaos just goes up a level.

I'm not a mother, but I love these stories of modern motherhood. Gelman knows just how to deliver these situations with humor - she kept me laughing throughout the book. I especially loved the class mom aspect of the story - her weekly emails to the fellow parents were hilarious. Jen is a true "sandwich generation" member, caring for kids, a grandkid, and her parents, and I enjoyed seeing her rise to the challenge of all of these responsibilities. Gelman provides her own narration of the book, and I have to say, she does an awesome job! Her Jen is witty and sarcastic, but deeply caring - someone I would love to take a spin class from in real life! And yes, there is such a thing as dressy yoga pants.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for providing an ALC on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This may be my funniest, most relatable book I’ve read this year! I’ve been room mom more than once, though I’ve never been able to ask parents to bring wine. (Sadly) I know these characters are well just characters but I 100% would be friends with them. Jen is snarky and hilarious. I listened to the audiobook version and it was read by the author which just added to it for me. Highly highly recommend this book and this author.

The third installment of the Class Mom series is an absolute delight. Even though I didn't know many of the characters or really what to expect, I was totally drawn in.

This book features Jennifer Dixon's inner monologue as she makes her way through her last year as the class mom for her son Max. Between Class Mom and PTA duties, her burgeoning career as a spin instructor, drama over custody of her granddaughter, and keeping up with her social/familial/romantic life, Jen is barely hanging on. However, she keeps pushing through and ends up having a ton of fun along the way.

I loved that this was written in almost a diary-style, making me feel like I was right in the middle of the scenes described. Jen's sarcastic approach to the Class Mom life was admittedly a little caustic at times, but I think that if I started with the first book (or if I had a kid in 5th grade), I would be far more used to it. It was really wonderful to be able to read this book as someone who isn't a parent of 3 children (and who has a while before that will happen), and still be able to relate to the struggles that Gelman wrote for Jen. I highly recommend grabbing all 3 Class Mom books and diving into them. If you need yet another selling point, Laurie Gelman reads the book herself and does a wonderful job of it.

Overall rating: 3.5/5 (rounded up to 4 stars)

Yoga Pant Nation will be available for purchase on July 13th. Be sure to add it to your Goodreads shelf and see where it's available for purchase. Also, be sure to check out Laurie Gelman's website!

I loved this book! I laughed out loud numerous times and this as the 3rd book in the series was my favorite. This can be read as a standalone book (although all 3 books in this series are fantastic. Highly recommended for moms that just need a fun listen. I wish that Jen was a room mom at my children's school! I love that the author, Laurie Gelman, has read her own book for all 3 audiobooks. Her inflection and matter of fact attitude makes it even better as an audiobook! Highly recommend.ed! I hope she continues this series!

Hilarious and well done like the previous books in the series! I love the humor but also the characterization and plot surprises.
