okay one i ain`t walking alone at night ever again ,two i don`t trust people am just joking but am i as brave as she was in this book. This book definitely deserves 5 stars because its amazing.I could not even put the book down for at least a minute i enjoyed this book .Thank you to this author am really looking forward to reading more of your books.I have to say that twist and turn in a book that is mind blowing the moment we discovered it was Zach .The courage she had to stay calm i mean she showed bravery and proved that sometimes when you are in a situation you should be calm and face your fears.I also learnt that sometimes you should be careful and study the people around you .I just love this book trust me i have no words at all..........this book has become one of my favorites .I really cannot stop saying thank you.I spent the whole day telling my sister about this book.

The first book I've read by this author, I was interested after seeing great praise for her previous books.

Isla is the victim of a violent mugging, a broken wrist in plaster and concussion and amnesia from a bump to the head. Scared to leave the house she shares with boyfriend Zach.

As Isla's memories start to come back, things she remembers could help identify her attacker and put her in more danger.

I found the style to be too 'over-think and over-explain' for my liking. I would have preferred more plot and less thinking. It felt too slow to me when I wasn't feeling particularly involved in any of the characters.

I generally like anxiety driven psychological thrillers, but Isla seemed 'a bit worried' rather than 'crippled by dread'. I didn't feel much threat or tension for most of the book but it does pick up towards the end.

There is a local true crime podcast, and Isla reaches out to the producers to try to help solve her mystery, which was a novel element.

Sorry to say this wasn't really one for me.

Thanks to Netgalley and Avon

This was an enjoyable read, I didnt enjoy it as much as I thought I would from the synopsis but it still captivated me enough to want to know what happened. It didnt grip me enough to read all in one go but still a decent read

After being mugged Isla is suffering from PTSD and she's trying to work out who is responsible for the attack.
Her boyfriend Zach has moved in to help her cope.Is the mugger someone she knows and could she still be in danger?
I just couldn't get into this book at all.
Thanks to Netgalley and Avon books for the ARC

This book left me SPEECHLESS!! WOW, WOW, WOW bloody WOW! it dragged me into it's pages at breakneck speed and the brakes went on at the last twist. What an amazing, spine tingling, gripping, atmospheric, twisty read. Isla is a great character and I really connected with her, she was afraid but at the same time she found her confidence and ventured back out into the world and she didn't stop looking for her attacker, that's when the twist started. I loved "Christie's Crime Addicts Podcast", and I really think it should be made into a TV series or further books but Isla must be included with Jase, Doug, Ed and Christie, they make an incredible team. The plot is paced at a great speed and it's consistent. I didn't want it to end and the final twist was mind blowing. Sam Carrington is back with another whopper of read and it is PHENOMENAL from beginning to end.

I’m a bit conflicted by this book. I loved Sam Carrington’s previous book The Open House. I expected to love this just as much but, sadly, I didn’t. I found the characters very irritating and I felt the story stretched belief a bit. Not all books are for everyone though and it won’t put me off reading more by this author.

This was a poorly executed thriller. There was basically no thrill involved. The characters and the plot were both weak. There was no tension throughout and I could easily have stopped reading at any point.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books UK for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This story follows Isla and her PTSD from being mugged as she tries to figure out attacker her. I could relate to her personality as a true crime fan myself and liked that she listened to podcasts and shows around the subject that were both helpful and harmful to her trying to remember what happened the night of the attack. The story did reveal the culprit earlier than I would have guessed, but I found it interesting to see if justice would be served. 3.5 stars out of 5.

Wow! I absolutely loved every page of this book! Way to go Sam Carrington! You definitely made me a fan!

Isla was brutally mugged and has not left her house since it happened. After she was mugged her boyfriend Zack moved in with her for some comfort and to keep an eye on her but then something happens.... Is someone out to get Isla? Zack and Isla are keeping secrets from each other. A relationship with secrets will never work out... or can it?

You will have to pick up your copy on December 9, 2021 to find out!!

I absolutely loved all the twists and the ending was jaw dropping! This is a fast paced, addictive thriller! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a catchy domestic thriller!

I received am advance copy of, The Couple On Maple Drive, by Sam Carrington. I really liked the character Isla, Zach not so much. This was a good thriller, it kept me on the edge of my seat. I did not care for the language though.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I wanted to like this book. The characters were interesting, I was intrigued by the premise, I enjoyed the podcast elements, and I appreciated the Agatha Christie references, but ultimately this book didn't live up to my expectations. It wasn't terrible by any means, but the bar for a good thriller is pretty high for me and this just didn't quite meet it.

After a brutal mugging, Isla is scared to leave the house and spends her days listening to crime podcasts while her boyfriend Zach moves in to look after her. She begins to wonder if the mugging could have been done by someone she knows, and begins to investigate. But could her investigating lead her into danger? A thrilling story with twists and turns, it keeps you guessing until the end. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

Creep! Suspenseful! Breathtaking! All this and more. A book where you'll think you know the killer again and again. And again and again you'll be wrong. I devoured this book in 2 readings. One of the best books I've read this year.

This is a compelling storyline. One night Isla is mugged whilst walking home from a works party helping to celebrate her new higher position in her job. Her boyfriend of a few months Zach moves in with her to help her out as her arm was broken that night. She can't remember who did it and suspects everyone.
Was it a random attack or was she targeted. She aks for help from a radio podcast station who try and help solve mysteries. Was this a good idea or will she regret it as her mind slowly starts to remember things only time will tell.
I read this book in one day it was that good.

This is a really quick read. The plot sounded promising so I powered through to see how everything would unfold but I wasn't surprised by the ending.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. Unfortunately, I couldn't get into this book. It dragged out, parts seemed predictable, didn't seem to have much suspense. I haven't been invested in Sam's last few books. Maybe it's time to move on.

A gripping tale of aggression and murder. I enjoyed the inclusion of the podcast transcripts, along with Isla's mention of Murder She Wrote and the few Agatha Christie references throughout. I felt it dragged a bit at times, but it kept me engaged and wanting to find out what would happen next.

This book was sent to me by Netgalley on Kindle for review. Love and romance...murder and mayhem...deceit...it is all in this book with a surprise ending. I do not like the language. Good mystery though.

I just cannot get into this book. One of Sam’s books blew me away but I haven’t been able to get into any of the others. Maybe this author just isn’t for me.
