This anthology consisted of 3 partially intertwined stories about an elite posting inn where the goal is to make their guests feel that they are at a country house party instead of a public inn. The owner is a lady who runs and works at the inn. During the Christmas season she closes for a few days to allow her employees a chance to go home. This year however, there is a snowstorm followed by an ice storm and guests keep arriving. In the midst of a lack of food and servants, everyone will have to help out and hope that the ice melts soon. For the most part, the guests were headed for a house party and they know each other. But two couples are those that have a history with each other and are meeting again for the first time. I will not give any spoilers, but the second story was my favorite.
These stories, while some details were shared from one story to the next, were all individual novellas. They were all well written and each one was satisfying, right up to the end. They were sensual stories, so don't be surprised at the heat level. I liked the continuity of the stories. I felt like I was right there because the setting and character descriptions were executed very well. The characters were well defined and developed over the story. I recommend reading this book with 5 stars.

A Yuletide Kiss by Madeline Hunter, Sabrina Jeffries and Mary Jo Putney is an anthology of three novellas all connected by a single incident. In each story the occupants of a carriage are seeking shelter just before Christmas as an icy storm moves through and are forced to stay at an inn that is not open for Christmas. The owner allows them to stay but each person is needed to help out in various ways. From these intrepid travelers, three novellas were written.

The Unexpected Gift by Madeline Hunter focuses on Flora and Konrad. Two people who had met in the past seemed to spark, but he just suddenly left and Flora was forced by her family to find employment as she was unmarriageable. I liked the back and forth from this couple and I liked reading about the Christmas traditions from this period. His writing of poetry drew them together, but her writing of reviews might force them apart.

When Strangers Meet by Mary Jo Putney had a kick but background. Two people forced into marriage years ago, but then estranged meet up again and try to find their bearings with their life and each other. I liked how both Kate and Daniel are willing to be open and honest with each other. Daniel really saved Kate’s life and now she is helping him save his own.

When We Finally Kiss Good Night by Sabrina Jeffries was the last of the novellas. In this case the proprietor of the inn, Jenna closed the inn for some time around Christmas. However with the wicked storm, she was forced to take in some stragglers who were left out in the storm. One of the people was found out in the storm with a wicked bump on his head. Jenna nurses Lucas back to health, but he too has secrets that are holding him back from loving Jenna.
A Yuletide Kiss by Madeline Hunter, Sabrina Jeffries and Mary Jo Putney was a good read.

These were well-written, entertaining stories. Sweet, charming, steamy and clever, they were interwoven together and included the magic of the holidays. I enjoyed these stories and look forward to reading more books by all three authors.

I love when these three ladies get together and write. The novellas all blend together into a wonderful Christmas story. Seeking shelter from the ice storm a group of travelers find themselves at White Rose Inn. The Inn is closed for the holiday, no one is refused, but expected to fend for themselves and help with the meals. All are grateful and gladly contribute in anyway they can. It’s a story of lost love, new love and unexpected love and captures the Christmas spirit throughout. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I had not read many works by these authors previously, so was curious to try the novellas.
I didn't really connect with any of the individual stories and found them underwhelming.
The first story, by Jeffries, includes characters that appeared in prior works, making it difficult to follow as I am not familiar with the series. I felt this story didn't stand well enough on its own.
The other two novellas were ok but lacked charm. In my opinion, there was too much plot for such short stories.

A group of strangers forced off the road by a snowstorm - luckily near a lovely Inn. Although I thought there were far too many food descriptions I enjoyed the MCs of each story. If connected Christmas anthologies are your thing you might enjoy it. A solid three star rating from me.

Flora fell for Conrad all those years ago, alas he disappeared and never came back so she was left with only crumbs of what could have been and some very disappointed kin to deal with.
So she is not ready to play the same game.
As past pain and shattered dreams are shared, will they decide for a common future or will their differences keep them apart.

After the first novella, it was fun to read an other side of the same event. This time from the inn’s owner point of view and the rescued traveler.
Jenna has her end of the year rest disturbed by a bunch of last minutes visitors. One of them is in a bad shape and need her help more then the others.
Lucas would have already rounded his last mission if not for the storm and an illness which brought him to his knees and landed him in this closed inn.
Circumstances make them fast friends and a maybe a little more but what of them when the weather clear…
A lovely tale of two persons who decided to go out their specified path to make a life for themselves.

So here is the last piece of the puzzle.
When Daniel rescued Kate seven years ago, he thought their wedding was a scam so when they meet again years later, he is a little more than astonished to learn it is even real. Yet it is the event which upheld his life, from there he turned a leaf. He is a man who learned the harsher possible way how life is not fair and the costs one mistake can entail. And he will always beat the weight of it. Yet upon meeting Kate, he gave an other meaning to his life.
Kate has Daniel to thank for her present circumstances, without his involvement, she does not even know if she would still be alive and would have been deprive of all the choices she now has.
Up to her to decide what she wants more now, guaranteed certainties or unknown passion whatever long it might last.
Daniel despite his flaws is so lovable, he accepts Kate as she is, when a peer would have looked down at her from being from trade blood, a woman and working. But can she open her heart to a new path when it is like an uncharted road.

I love reading all three of these authors and I was so excited for them to write a series of stories together. I love the story. The characters and the plot were amazing. I hope everyone gives it a try.

I loved this anthology! It has the Christmas spirit that we all dream of.
In the first story, WHEN WE FINALLY KISS GOOD NIGHT by Sabrina Jeffries, Flora Younger couldn´t forget the man she once loved. Konrad is now a famous playwright, but a chance meeting in a secluded inn may help them rewrite this star-crossed romance…

I’m a huge fan of Sabrina Jeffries and I was waiting for this novella, but the three are really really engaging. Every one of them made me feel happy and dreamy while reading it. There are great sexy times, memorable characters and all the stories take place in the same inn at the same time, so you can see all the characters in every story. So good!! I highly recommended this book.

Three sweet, low-key stories. Various groups of travelers are stuck at an inn due to an ice storm for two days before Christmas. We get to see these days from the viewpoints of three different couples. The short length of the novellas make for abrupt endings and a super quick road to love ever after. One man arriving on deaths door recovers, falls in love, and solves a crime all in two days. I liked reading what came of Konrad Juncker from Sabrina Jefferies Duke Dynasty series. Usually I enjoy seeing the same event from different views but by the time I was reading about the same meal being cooked for the third time, the chopping of vegetables and baking bread and pies, I was getting impatient. If you're in the mood for a short, amiable read, with no deep plot this would be a good choice.

Konrad Junker had been caught in a bad snowstorm and he was trying to find someplace to stay, for his horse and himself. He arrives at the White Rose Inn and finds two ladies and an older man dragging a body into the Inn. The gentleman was very sick. The Inn was also closed but she could not send people out into the snow and ice.
The next people to arrive, also caught in the storm was Lady Hortensia Whitmarsh and Miss Flora Younger.
Then came Mr. Faringdon , Mr. Matthews, and Miss Macleod, along with servants and coachmen.
The first story is about Mr. Junker and Miss Younger, their past and now the present.
The Unexpected Gift
Jenna Waverly, the Inn's owner, and the poor sick man had put him in the Brewmaster's room. Lucas Avonwood was very sick and had a fever. But he was spiking and had the chills.
He also had some dreams, more like nightmares. They got to know each other while she nursed him.
When Strangers meet
Kate MacLeod was so worried about the storm and she could feel it slip and the storm was getting worse. Daniel Faringdon, still wasn't use to being a Lord. They had come across a carriage stuck on the side of the road. They were going to help pull it out of the snow and ice. Lord Elland and his friend Rob also hoped they knew about an inn close by. The coach knew of one a half-mile away. So Lord Elland followed the coach to the inn. Kate was furious. Daniel had started to remember her in India. He had gone to a pub and bought her.
I enjoyed the book and thought each little story was interesting in its unique way. All three authors knew what they were doing and did it well. The stories are rich in detail and even with them being a
novella they were still entertaining. I do recommend this great novel.

I received an advance review copy from NetGalley, but my opinions are entirely truthful and my own. I had read multiple books from each of these authors previously and enjoyed them, so this book was a good fit for me.

Sabrina Jeffries- I've liked the previous books in the Duke Dynasty series average or better, but this one didn't work for me.  Often holiday novellas require a little more slack cut to them, allowing them to be extra convenient due to their short length, and a bit sappier due to the holiday, but this seemed even a bit more flimsy than that.  I didn't buy the events as plausible, and I didn't grow all that fond of the characters, AND I wasn't that very engaged by the rest.  It wasn't absolute rubbish, but it was below average enough (for me) that I couldn't justify rounding up.  2 stars.

Madeline Hunter- This had a fairly slow start between rehashing some scene-setting events we already learned in the previous story (the story should be able to stand decently on its own, so I understand why these were repeated, it just contributed to the feeling of waiting for things to get going), and an illness that takes up quite a bit of page time in the beginning and obviously limits the potential of the chapters from that point of view.  After that though it had pretty good pacing, and hooked my interest in the characters.  The steam isn't 'fade to black', but it does stay pretty short and vague.  So it felt a bit like a missed opportunity to me, who enjoys steam, but is probably fairly inoffensive to those put off by it.  Overall I liked the characters and things wrapped up well.  4 stars.  

Mary Jo Putney-  I have read 6 prior books by this author, and enjoyed every one of them above average.  But for whatever reason, I thought this one was terrible.  I rarely give single stars, and all throughout the last half I was hoping I would be able to at least round up to a 2, but I just can't.  I was bored, annoyed, AND disbelieving.  I'm really kind of astonished.  Not much happens, it's nearly entirely a series of conversations broken up by some menial tasks, and then some lines or a scene we've already seen earlier (some of them twice by this point) sprinkled in here and there.  I actually don't mind conversation-heavy stories, but the dialogue was so stilted and basic that I felt like rolling my eyes.  It seemed kind of like the dialogue in a less than mediocre play.  Tons of things were spelled out to a simpleton degree in case the reader was incapable of putting two pieces of information together.  And then, to add insult to injury, there's hardly even a romance when one character basically sits on the fence til the 11th hour when there's a miraculous change of heart. I don't buy it.  I really am very disappointed.  This won't stop me from ever reading other stories by this author, because I quite enjoyed those previous ones, but if this had been my first from her I would have a low opinion of her writing potential.  If you are in that boat, do consider giving her work another shot.  6 books to 1 makes this the anomaly rather than the norm.  

For the collection as a whole, 2.5 stars rounded up.

I really loved the premise for this novella collection. It is almost Christmas and while travelling for their individual celebrations a group of characters get stranded at an Inn. Each story follows a different set of these characters and they all make cameos in each other stories which was delightful.

When We finally Kiss Goodnight - Sabrina Jeffries
Our first couple is Konrad Junker and Flora Younger. These two are old acquaintances - they had previously courted in Bath but Konrad left suddenly with no explanations and broke Fiona's heart. Now they meet again and must overcome past hurts and navigate the secrets they both are keeping. This was a cute story. i wish we had more of the background for these characters, (I understand Junker shows up in previous books but I have not read them as of yet). As is usually my issue with novellas I wanted more depth and development with the characters but overall it was an enjoyable story.

The Unexpected Gift - Madeline Hunter
This was by far my favourite of the three novellas and I am looking forward to reading more from Madeline Hunter. Jenna is the owner of the Inn and finds herself caring for a mysterious gentleman who is found injured and sick on her property in the middle of the storm. I do enjoy the caretaker trope and this one didn't disappoint. My only gripe would be the ending, I wasn't satisfied with how Lucas resolved his problem, i wish he was a lot more transparent with Jenna.

When Strangers Meet - Mary Jo Putney
I did not like this story. I thought the plot was pretty unrealistic and underdeveloped - if the author wants me to believe in these two characters i needed a lot more time developing their relationship. They met once 7 years ago, got married under duress, the hero promptly forgot about her but upon seeing her again is instantly in love with her? For this story to work for me I needed to see them actually spending time together to get to know each other not just jumping into a relationship. All their substantive interactions seemed to happen off page and i was left very unsatisfied.

This is a collection of three wonderful romances written by a group of three very talented authors. I am so glad I picked this collection up because all three are new to me authors and now I have three new authors to follow! Each one did a fantastic job with providing vivid descriptions and interesting plots. The storylines were all artfully crafted with well defined characters and kept me hooked until I finished. I had to pace myself as I wanted to read all in one sitting! This is truly a gem of a collection and if you love Regency romances, you definitely will want to add this to your collection!

Three Christmas novellas that are truly interconnected - I love it. I’ve read all of Sabrina Jeffries’ Duke Dynasty series, so it was joy to catch up with Konrad Junker again. I’ve not read Mary Jo Putney before, but her story was sweet and charming. Madeline Hunter had the stand out story for me. Her characters were a little more worldly and mature, and I appreciated how their relationship developed.

Interconnected holiday novels are so much fun - and this one definitely doesn't disappoint. Especially for fans of Sabrina Jeffries Duke's Dynasty series. Each story is focused on second chances - either as a couple or as a person. The authors definitely put in the extra effort to link their stories in a way that reads beautifully together - but each story does stand alone.

There is definitely a lot of holiday feelings present in the story as well - I enjoyed all of the stories!

I really loved the first story. I love a second chance romance. The next story has a nurse him back to health plot, and I didn't care. I was bored and didn't feel the connection between them. The third one was better, but didn't like it as much as the first.
