I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

The plot sounded so interesting but the mystery was flat and took so long to develop I had long since stopped caring. Not even an entertaining guilty pleasure

Thankyou to NetGalley and the author, JA Andrews, for the opportunity to read I Let Her Go in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought this book had a good storyline but what really put me off were the central characters. I did not like them at all. I felt they were really self absorbed and blamed everyone around them for everything that was wrong with their lives.
This is one of those books that you need to judge for yourself.

I’m going to be honest, I hated this book. So much.

Nothing made sense, everything was so jumbled, so many unnecessary details, the chapters didn’t mesh together at all….I read mostly psychological thrillers and this just was not it. Not even close.

Growing up in foster care has taught Lucy that friendships and alliances are crucial survival tactics. Becoming close friends with Josh and Amber has given Lucy a small chance at, if not happiness, an escape from a brutal foster mother. Then one day when Lucy and Amber leave for their hideout in the woods, only Lucy returns. Nearly twenty years later, Lucy is getting ready to marry Josh when a body is found. Can Lucy trust Josh? Can Josh trust Lucy? A tense story depicting the fallout from a broken foster care system
