This was a really good mystery and I really enjoyed the addition of the podcast as the catalyst for the case being solved and the killer wanting to silence anyone who knew anything. Lucas Vega is obsessed with the unsolved murder of fellow student Candace Swain and three years later while interning at the medical examiner’s office he discovers new information but the police aren’t interested. So he creates a podcast to see if anyone know anything about the 9 days that Candice was missing before she was found dead. During this time, he invites guest lecturer Regan Merritt who was a US Marshal to help him ask the right question of his listeners and to share her expertise. Oh man when Regan gets added to the scene she just starts asking the right questions and gets witness’s that wouldn’t talk to Lucas to share what they know and it also starts leading another case that was covered up as well. It was a good mystery and it definitely ended with me surprised at who the bad guy was which I really love when I read a mystery. I like how the podcast helped with getting more witnesses coming forward and giving more data about where Candice was when she was missing and how it helped put all the pieces together. This was a really good and fast read and I can’t wait to see if this ends up a series following Regan.

Ahhhhh this was so good!! Allison Brennan writes such interesting mysteries. The woman has written a boat load of books but somehow she keeps coming up with new ideas and new stories. This book took me a few chapters to get into it, because of the multiple point of views, but just stick with it and you will get sucked right in!!

This book is a bit different from Allison Brennan, as it’s a single title and not part of the series. We have a mystery that is connected to another mystery, and I really liked how everything unfolded and played out. It was a fairly quick read—well written and a fast paced story. I highly recommend.

This book completely grabbed me from the first chapter snd I was committed u til the very end. If you love missing person cases, police procedurals, and podcasts, this one is for you. On the flip side, I will say there were many characters in this book, some of which weren’t really necessary in my opinion. About 3/4 through the book the case had pretty much been resolved, yet the book continued until it’s dramatic finish. Overall, it was an entertaining book and I appreciate the opportunity to read and review it. This book will be released on December 28, 2021.

This is my first Allison Brennan novel (I know, crazy right!?) and it certainly won't be my last! I loved this one. I kept flipping the pages and didn't want to stop! This is an intriguing murder mystery and one I won't forget anytime soon. I look forward to reading more of her backlist!

This is my first book by Allison Brennan and it will not be my last.
The Sorority Murder is a great .murder mystery. I enjoyed how the podcasts are put into play here. Very nice added touch.
Allison is a very talented writer.
A master at ramping up the tension and the action.
With a multitude of suspects and horrific crimes.
Great group of characters who I enjoyed following along with.
Very well written and kept me glued to the book until it was finished.

Now I'm looking at her other books..... Can't wait to read her Speak No Evil!!!!

This was a good murder mystery, though it felt like it dragged for a bit. I don't listen to podcasts but appreciated the author using this format to solve a cold case. I wonder if there will be another book with Regan helping to solve a case?

Lucas is a criminology student who starts a podcast attempting to solve the cold case of Candace, a young sorority woman who was found murdered three years before. He takes it upon himself, with the help of Regan, a former US marshal, to find out the truth.

Too many crime/mystery novels are overwrought with characters who all seem to be suspects--you know, where every single person is shady and has a million secrets. It comes across as trying too hard, (not to mention unrealistic) and those stories are always exhausting to read. Refreshingly, The Sorority Murder wasn't like that at all. Brennan wrote an intriguing, almost casual slow burn murder mystery where I could just enjoy the clues and conversations without stressing about who was hiding what.

I did correctly guess before I reached the actual reveal, but I didn't mind. It came together in a very satisfying way.

Allison Brennan has long been one of my favorite mystery writers, and her newest book is an excellent one! A story of a college student’s disappearance several years ago leads to a cult podcast trying to discover the truth. The question is if the price might be too high…

Good book! The storyline was decent, it had suspense, action, intrigue, and a great who done it! This book definitely held my attention, and was worth reading, it just wasn't one of my all time favorite! Like I said, worth reading but just ok for me! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

This is a stand alone mystery and has almost no romance, it is just a good mystery that makes you wonder why people act the way they do. I still had questions at the end of the story, I want to know more about the killers past
