After reading The Trouble with Hating You I was excited to read what Sajni Patel would write next. I was not disappointed with the beginning of First Love, Take Two. I am excited to continue reading.

I requested this several years ago, I will not be reviewing it now but will try my best to review it in the future. Thank you for the opportunity.

I was intrigued by the tropes and I’ll definitely be finishing the book, but I think I preferred the first in the series.

First Love, Take Two is the second book in Sajni Patel's romance series and similar to the first book, this has a GORGEOUS cover!! I can't get over it. Ok, moving on.

I NEED MORE!! Second-chance romance with some forced proximity thrown in, I'm here for it!! Ready to read all of Preeti and Daniel's story!

Love, love these previews! Thank you Forever Pub!

Reading the first few chapters of this book definitely made me want to read the whole thing. I loved this author's previous book, and was eager for more. Glad to see she's continuing in great form!

After reading this preview, I had to know the rest of the story and purchased the kindle version of this book. I really enjoyed the author's writing style and character development. Preeti, is a doctor in search of a new roommate and finds one, but the shock comes when it's Daniel her ex from six years ago. What comes next is how to live with an ex when there's also closure needed and still an attraction. I really enjoyed the strong female chapter of Preeti even though there's work/love challenges. I also really enjoyed how the mental health stigma was handled in the book. Thanks to NetGalley for the book preview.

This preview was a tease for sure! It made me think of Romeo and Juliet in how they aren't meant to be together. Different cultures and family responsibilities. No way it could work according to Daniel's dad. But even after years apart both Daniel and Preeti still feel something there.

I can't wait to get my hands on this book! It can't come out soon enough.

This obviously only the first 4 chapters, but OMG!! Second chance romance AND south Asian rep!!! The first few chapters really got me into the book and gave me the background necessary to understand the characters better. I just wanna say that this seemed too real, especially the marriage part where it is expected by the entire community to eventually fall in love with your spouse. I will be adding this book to my TBR!! So far, it is really good!!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book is well written and the characters are described well. This is the first four chapters. I absolutely enjoyed this second chance romance. I plan to read the rest of the book soon! I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This book is. in stores for $15.99 (USD).

The perfect taste of what this book entails. I can’t wait to devour the rest! The preview has developed Preeti and Daniel with just enough detail that I need more. A few giggles scattered throughout and I’m hooked already.

Second chance romance!!!! I repeat, SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE!!!! Need I say more? I heard so many good things about Sajni Patel's "The Trouble with Hating You" and put it on my TBR, but now seeing First Love, Take Two, I immediately knew this book was more down my alley. Preeti is struggling to balance her residency, finding a new job, and her boisterous family and lo and behold, matters are made worse (is it, though?) when her ex becomes her new roommate. Forced proximity, tension, and they were ROOMMATES. Thank you NetGalley for providing the opportunity to read the first four chapters so I could have an impression before I went out and bought it (it's out!!!! Released!!!!) and it's moved up my TBR immediately. So excited to see how Preeti and Daniel's love plays out and see them get their happily ever after.

This is obviously only the first four chapters of this book, however, I am a big fan of the second-chance-romance so even though I was only able to read a snippet of the story, I was still intrigued. I love reading about how culture plays a part in relationships, not just romantic but platonic and familial and I can see how that plays into First Love, Take Two. From only a handful of pages, I could tell that Patel's style of writing is very easy to follow which I enjoy when reading a romance. Also, I definitely need to pick up this book because from the very first few chapters, I can tell that Daniel is a family-man, who appreciates and values his family and I love seeing that dynamic, especially in romance novels!

[PREVIEW READ]
I’ve read The Trouble with Hating You and absolutely loved it so I’m very certain that I’ll enjoy this just as much, if not even more! This has one of my favorite tropes (second chance romance) and I’m excited to finally get the ebook and finish this altogether.

A really promising start to the book! I really like Preeti and Daniel together! I am excited to see where the book takes their relationship. I have already loved this author before so I trust that she will deliver in this book as she did in her other.

I really enjoyed the preview chapters 1-4. I love the premise -- a chance at second love. I haven't read the first book but it's clear that Preeti and Daniel have a history. Preeti never told Daniel the real reason for their breakup and has been avoiding him for 6 years. But with her best friends returning from their honeymoon, Preeti needs to find a new apartment asap. But Preeti's best friend throws her a lifeline -- she can finish out the lease on her apartment. There's just one catch, she'll be temporary sharing the apartment with her ex Daniel Can Preeti and Daniel co-exist? Or will their feelings get the best of them?

From what I've read, this seems like a fun romance with great characters.
