A Plethora Of Suspects…
The second in the Coffee Lover’s Mystery series and business is flying for coffee shop owner Lana. Coffee shop, Perkatory, is seeing clients from the yoga studio next door, the aptly named Dante’s Inferno, come flooding through its doors. When the body of the yoga studios owner is found and the death clearly suspicious, Lana dons her sleuthing hat once again, but does she realise what danger she might be in? Enjoyable cosy mystery with a likeable protagonist in Lana and a colourful cast of supporting characters. A fun and fast paced plot with a plethora of suspects to add to the mix.

Great book and author. Can't wait for the next book in the series. One of my favorite authors. If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend her books.

Lana is a laid-off journalist who moves back home to spend time with her father and work at the family business, a coffee shop named Perkatory (such a fun name!). Her would-be romance with the hunky chief of police can't seem to get off the ground, her next-door-neighbor that runs the yoga studio goes missing, and her cold brew coffee keeps tasting like dishwater!
Cold Brew Corpse is a fast-paced cozy mystery with fun and funky characters and a lot of caffeine. Overall, I enjoyed it and had fun trying to guess who was responsible for the missing yoga instructor. There are a lot of red herrings scattered throughout the story, so figuring out what was important and what was misleading was a challenge. The romance side of things needs a little work, as I didn't really feel like I got to know Noah at all, other than that he is super handsome. So, I didn't really understand why Lana was so enamored of a man she rarely got to see or spend any time with. I would say the author needs to work on fleshing out some of those side characters more, and really creating a rich environment and setting for her main character to inhabit.
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys clean, cozy mysteries and a fast read.

Kindle Copy from Net Galley and Crooked Lane Books.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Lana busy settling in her life to do more sleuthing. But soon she will be in the middle of things when the local newspaper asks her to investigate a murder which ignites her journalism dreams.

The dead yogi had a nefarious pas with mug shots galore which ended her beaned by a SUV as she landed in the swamp. How many enemies did she have who wanted her dead?

Can she find the killer before she ends up in hot water? A caffeine laid read.

Cold brew coffee and the main character you root for to find the real killer....what more can you ask for in a book. Really enjoy this series and learning more about these characters. I would really love to sit around talking to Dad and hearing more about his life and philosophy on things. Can not wait until the next installment.

Thank you Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

This was a great book!!
Loved how Lana's investigation builds up and how the story ended, really would have never suspected Cody as the criminal!
Overall it's a good mystery book, and the characters are awesome! (especially Stanley the puppy)
Perfect for fans of Nancy Drew!!

Lana Lewis has settled into at Perkatory. Business is booming, her relationship with the local police chief is moving along, and puppy is responding to training. When classes let out at the yoga studio next door, most of the student head in for some caffeine and Tara is loving it. Life is good.

When the owner of the yoga studio is found dead, Tara leaves the investigation to her paramour. Well, at least until the editor of the local paper asks her to cover the story, fueling Lana’s dream of getting back to her old gig. What she discovers about her late neighbor leaves her with no shortage of suspect. This case is going to challenge her relationship with Noah and could potentially put her life at risk too. Will she be lingering in Purgatory and Perkatory when all is said and done?

A fab Florida based series filled with coffee, sunshine, sand and murder. A great series that will have you hitting the caffeine and binging through the book!
