This book was a little too slow paced. I didn’t like the characters. The writing style made this book confusing. I like the concept of this book, but unfortunately the execution didn’t live up to my expectations.

I had such high hopes for this book. Love the period, love Vienna, loved the title page. Alas, it completely fell flat once I started. Portraying lesbianism - okay, but there must be something else in a book apart from that and a few strewn-in German words. The magic of that exciting era was entirely absent. Sorry, a DNF for me.
