This book was received as an ARC from Barbour Publishing, Inc. - Barbour Books through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

Where was this book when I was a teen. Well in all honesty, there were similar books when I was a teen girl, but I was too consumed in the teenage culture to open my eyes and actively search for these books. I am glad now that my mental, and spiritual strength have grown to not only read these books for myself now, but pass them one for generations to come. Teen girls experience so much drama that causes nothing but stress. Whether they want to admit it or not, everyone (boys, and girls) just want to get through life unscaved, and this book does not help you do that, but strengthens your mind so these experience don't severely leave emotional scars.

A powerful book that will strengthen, and support teenage girls for generations to come. This book deserves 5 stars.

Amazing journal! The bible prayers included are nicely incorporated, and age appropriate for all ages. My younger sister loves this, and I cannot wait for the hardcover to come out.

OK this is not what I was expecting. I was expecting more of a non-fiction type book about this topic and less of a devotional/per book

Which is much more what it actually is

It has like different values it’ll be like joy and then it gives you a list of verses with maybe a little bit of context maybe

It’s not the easiest way to approach the Bible or learn about it in fact I feel like this for a lot of people can be kind of even more confusing

I don’t see how this is specifically targeted towards teenage girls there’s nothing specific for teenage girls in this book

Not the Bible verses not the translations not the little interludes

I don’t know that purchase feels very marketing heavy and I don’t think I like it
There’s nothing specific in this for teenage girls at all

It’s just very generic here’s a word here’s Bible verses the author thinks works with it
Even using word author is a little bit loose because there’s not a lot that the person that put us together wrote

I don’t know this is just very it’s here it exists
But I don’t think it’s actually usable or helpful

The Bible Promise Book for Teen Girls is an outstanding book for preteen and teen girls who are looking for guidance, encouragement, and Biblical direction. The book is organized in a clear and simple way with subtopics like self control, obedience, and prayer. Each subtopic begins with a short description, explaining why this topic is one that teens will face and what the Bible says about it. The introductions are simple, interesting, and encouraging, and they are followed by Bible verses that tell God’s perspective on the subtopic. Each subtopic ends with a motivational quotation from a famous person like Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa, and Ralph Waldo Emerson.

The Bible verses are drawn from a variety of versions of the Bible, so readers may read some scriptures that seem familiar, but a different version of the Bible gives a slightly different perspective. Beyond the scope of this book, this variety of versions encourages readers to find the Bible version that appeals to them.

The teenage years are years when kids are growing out of their reliance on parents and other adults and relying more on their peers. While this is a natural process, the teen years are full of complex challenges and temptations, pressures and fears. This book gives teen girls a resource to find Biblical answers to the challenges they will face. It equips them to find godly perspectives to counter the advice and pressures they get from friends, the media, and society as a whole. And for families who want their teens to look to the Bible for direction, this book is a user-friendly guide.
