I love poetry. So ready and learning about becoming a witch with such beautiful words made the whole experience better.

This book is very Wicca specific and more made for beginners, so if you are interested go for it as it is really beautifully written. Just be aware that it if you are looking for something regarding witchcraft, this is more Wiccan based.

Although very beautiful and lyrical book, with truly powerfull spells, I would not recommend this for beginners at all. Also, it’s very Wicca specific, which I did not expect at first.

Good beginners book if you are Wiccan or thinking about becoming Wiccan.
I am neither so this book wasn't for me.

Becoming the With: The Art of Magick
Is as the title suggests… “becoming” a witch. Geared to beginners in the craft of magic, the reader is easily guided through spells and rituals. There is is a lot of spell work to complete but it is the beginning journey the reader must complete in order to achieve the art of Magick.
The writer has a beautiful writing style that is lyrical and helps motivates the emerging witch. The writing is more than directorial, but rather a motivational approach to obtain the craft.

An interesting perspective that anyone be they just starting out or further along on their path can get something from. I wasn’t sure how I’d personally like this book but overall I found it quite enjoyable.

This is not my type of book at all. It is very much the cliche Wiccan book. For those beginning in Wiccan, it may be good start for you, but it is not a book for me.

This book could definitely be life altering. This is an excellent book for the beginner because it is very comprehensive and filled with everything you need to know as you start your journey in the craft. I thought this book was very useful to anyone who practices not just beginners. I added it to my personal library.

I think that marketing it as a witchcraft book instead of a Wicca book is an issue though, and won’t lead your book to land in the hands of your intended audience. I went into this thinking it would focus on magick and witchcraft and while I appreciate Wicca for what it is, the inclusion of it was unexpected. Also salting the earth is a big no no. It can make the soil toxic and kill the plants and insects and animals that come in contact with it.

Becoming a Witch by Danae Moon Thorp is a wonderful beginners book with a well rounded summation of information. The book goes over sabbaths , potions, tools and is full of many spells and rituals. This book would be a great addition to anyone’s magical spell collection.

A good introductory book if you are starting the Wiccan path. I found it well written and informative.

A good book for a beginner or anyone interested in the practice of Wicca particularly the ritual and spell work. The author is excellent at conveying information concisely while also making it very readable. I understand that this book won't be for every Witch since it focuses heavily on Gods & Goddesses but I found it very interesting and liked the look into different cultures and their mythology.

As someone who is just starting her journey into the world of witchy things, this book was an infinite amount of knowledge. I am not sure that I believe there's only one way to follow your spiritual path, but the information in this book is definitely a good starting point for anyone who wants to learn more about the craft.

Becoming the Witch is full of information but trying to get thru the ending of the book was a little difficult. For me, it read very much like a textbook. A great book for beginners but I'm not sure about being able to afford all the things that are included in the list of utensils for the witch. "Becoming the witch" is a a good introductory book for anyone looking to delve into ritual and spell work. The book is very work heavy and the rituals develop as the reader goes on. This book may not offer much to a more experienced practitioner, but it does contain some interesting ideas and insights for new ways of working magically.

I must admit that, like others, I found that towards the end of the book it became very tasking to work through. The writing style may work for others, but in this case it was just too much for me. There were also a few minor errors in the history towards the beginning. Hopefully this will be caught before the final print.

Becoming the Witch by Danae Moon Thorp is an intriguing read that I am sure to read again and again.

I found this to be mainly focused on WIcca and Wicca practices. Not every witch is Wicca or wants to learn their practices but for a Wicca beginner I recommend this book. It is lengthly with spells, Wicca lore and how to begin for the very beginner Wicca witch. It was not for me at all but would appeal to a Wicca.

I found this book to be a nice starter volume. Although I found it too heavily relied on Wiccan ways. Not all witches are Wiccan. There are some sweet takeaways and helpful beginner tips. I enjoyed the read.
