A sweet, short tale showcasing the value of sharing. Beautifully illustrated, the pictures are captivating and were my 7 year old’s favourite part!

“Ashamed” is a big word to use for a children’s book, and a hard concept to understand. It also isn’t a term typically used in many picture books because it’s a hard word for kiddos to sound out when they are ready to read on their own. Perhaps using “embarrassed” might help this story connect with younger readers.

I thought this was a very cute story but was way too short. I wanted so much more of these characters. The cover was very appealing and the concept overall was fun. I felt like more time could have been spent to focus on the “frog” and how he realized the error of his ways. I enjoyed that back matter that explained where the story came from.

This was a cute story! I actually didn’t know that a frog could soak up water into their skin to survive a drought, so this was definitely educational! The pictures were amazing too!

Super short read! Colorful eye-catching designs! This would be a super fun short read for kids, parents, teachers, etc. I really loved that the animals were all labeled at the end of the book. This was pretty cool and different.
