Patricia Gibney books never disappoint and this one is a really gripping story. The suspense builds and builds until the shocking conclusion, I don't think I drew breath for the last couple of chapters. I love the characterisation in this series, from Lottie's prickly mother to her typical teenagers and her loving fiancé. I can't wait to read the next instalment in their story.

Oh wow, I love this series! Lottie is such a complex character, her team are fighting with each other, Boyd has a secret and she has murders to solve as well as a missing child to find. The murder of a young mother starts it all off and finding the killer will not be easy because everyone has secrets. Lottie and her team follow every clue and finally piece it all together.q. I can’t wait for the next instalment!

A mother is brutally murdered in front of her baby, another mother goes missing, her young son has been abducted from nursery school. Det Lotty Parker will stop at nothing to find out if the 2 cases are linked and find the missing Mother and son. This is a fast paced page turner. The subject matter is a bit intense. Can Lottie and her team solve this case before more lives are lost. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

A brutal murder of a mother in front of her baby angers Detective Lottie Parker and her team but when another mother goes missing the heat is turned up to find her kidnapped 4 year old son. Connecting the dots won't be easy and the team is stressed to the limit. When the missing woman's body is found the search continues for her son.
This book is a fast paced roller coaster of a ride and while the subject matter and deaths are a little intense, I enjoyed it. Due to the content I must warn readers this book gave me a nightmare when I finished.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. Really enjoyed this book and am a fan of Patricia Gibney. Best to read the rest of the series first for context of characters but it can be read alone. I’d recommend this for fans of the genre.

A dead body and a missing child. Are they connected? Another historic crime scene comes to light. Detective Lottie Parker finds herself pulled in too many directions with pressure from above to find the missing child. Will he be found alive or is it already too late?

A tenth installment in any series is a telling sign of how well the entire series has been received. Lottie Parker comes back to enthrall us with yet another tale of a crime and its following investigation. And alongside we are given a glimpse of her family, and her work relationships.
The plot, as with any of the books in the series, is meaty. A page turner and one that keeps the reader on their toes guessing.
Excellent addition to an exceptional series.

A strong entry in a series that continues to go from strength to strength. It is always a joy to sit down with the latest DI Lottie Parker novel and delve into the murky mysteries of Ragmullin. This time around, our favourite detective inspector is investigating the murder of a local woman, Isabel Gallagher. As her team try to make sense of this brutal case, another young mother and her toddler go missing and go the team are handling multiple cases which may well be connecting.
Gibney deftly interweaves the interconnecting elements of the tale, ensuring that the fast pace does not drop for a moment and that the reader eagerly jumps from page to page to see what will happen next. Interspersed throughout the murder investigation are flashbacks to a previous murder, and some childhood memories of being bullied. Clearly, there are some nasty events taking place in the Irish midlands and Lottie's team will have their work cutout trying to resolve this case before anyone else loses their life.

Another brilliant book in the Lottie Parker series. I don’t know how Patricia does it but each book is just as amazing as the previous one in the series. I love catching up with Lottie & Boyd and the clan and can’t wait to find out what they get up to next. I recommend this book and series 1000% you won’t be disappointed. Hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next book in the series.

Yet another fantastic read in this series. Lottie Parker, her family and team are the absolute stars in these books, but the plots are also fabulous. I love police procedurals and this series is amongst the best around.

Another fab instalment by Patricia Gibney, I have read all of them and they just get better.

I received this arc through netgalley and it didn't disappoint., catching up with Lottie, Boyd and her team plus her children and mother is always like catching up with old friends.

Two abductions and a few murders and Lottie and her team are like bloodhounds, trying to solve the case before it is too late. Lottie saves the day but also shows us her vunerable human side too

Isabel Gallagher is found dead on the floor of her baby daughter's nursery, her daughter still in her cot. Detective Lottie Parker and her team take on the shocking case, determined to find out who would commit such a crime. Then another young mother, Joyce Breslin, goes missing and then her son is abducted from day-care. In both cases a razor blade is found, suggesting that the cases are connected. When little bones are found, it soon becomes clear that the case is a complicated one and that Lottie will need to look into history to find out the truth. Can she delve through all the secrets and suspicious characters to solve the case and find the little boy Evan before it is too late?

A tense and thrilling story that has you suspecting a lot of the suspicious characters until you reach the shocking conclusion. Like the other books in the series, we also get to hear more about what is going on in the lives of Lottie and the rest of the team. Another good entry to the series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

Another solid instalment in this well established series with the return of a cast of well written characters, a complex plot and cliff hanger conclusion. I just wish Lottie was a bit less angry!

It's enough for me to lay my hands on one of these books to forget about anything else. They are just very engaging and keep you hooked till the very end. This instalment is as good as all the others and because the main characters become so familiar, there is an dded component to the mystery investigation. I also like the Irish atmosphere and the setting of these books. Patricia Gibney keeps it real at all times. A great read and I am looking forward to the next one.

I can’t believe we’re into the 10th book in this series! I always look forward to a new Lottie Parker book. Lottie finds herself in a new investigation when a young mother is killed in front of her baby. Was it the husband? Or is something else going on? Then a another young mother goes missing and her child. Are the cases connected? Lottie is feeling the pressure to solve this case before a child is killed. You will see the familiar team with this case but tensions are high. Another solid installment in this series. Fast paced, good mystery, secrets & lies…..no shortage of keep you guessing moments.

Wow ladies and gentlemen! This is definitely one that shouldn't be missed! It’s an over-the-top adrenaline rush of a book. You know…the kind of book where it ramps up into one impossible situation on top of another and another and another…until you realize you haven’t actually been breathing for a page or two. A definite must read of 2021!
