I love the way this author writes her books. The Greece setting just happens to jumps off the page at you.

The characters are written well and add to the story.

This is a light hearted, easy to read novel that will quench your romance thirst.

It's a quick and fast read which ls perfect if you have a couple of hours to spare

Becky is a boutique owner in England, living a quiet life in a smaller city after moving away from her troubling past.  She gets a call from her uncle who asks Becky to stay at his villa in Greece for a couple of weeks while he's away on a boating trip.  Becky accepts the offer and along with her two best friends heads for the Greek islands.  Being burned once she gave up on romance long ago, but after running into a local restaurateur, who may just look like a Greek god, could Becky resist falling for him?

First, the positive! If you're ever planning on visiting the Greek islands, you just won't be able to find a better travel guide than this book! It has everything: beaches, restaurants, tours, local shops, food to try, basic phrases in Greek, weather, scenery - you name it!  It got me so excited about traveling there!  It had references to Mamma Mia, the movie which added some charm to the story.  There is romance and even some mystery/suspense in this book.  And you can't help but love the main character, sweet Becky.  The story had such a great potential. But... the anticipation of the mystery being resolved hovered throughout entire book and was rushed through in the last few pages.  The repetitive dialogues really started to become very predictable.  And I guess I expected a bit more from the writing style which often felt like just a simple account of daily events rather than a story weaving.

This is a very cute light read and an excellent  travel guide.  I just had higher expectations for this book, but overall I enjoyed the atmosphere of summer, the sun, and the beach it painted for the readers. 3 stars from me.

This is a nice, easy and fun holiday escapism read. Sue Roberts' description of Greece made me feel like I was there. The Sun, the Sea, the food, just what would love to do at the moment. Escaping through the pages of a book are as close as I can get.
I like the characters, Becky was sweet and deserves some happiness. I loved the sound of her soaps and lotions. It made me wish that she had a real shop so that I could buy her products.
This is more of a book about friendship in my opinion. Romance does feature, but not until you are further into the story.
This is an enjoyable and entertaining read. Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

I've never been to Greece but reading these books makes me want to go.

This book was such a fun, easy read that I could definitely see myself reading by the pool or laying on the beach.

I seriously loved all the characters and the story was perfection xx

Loved every word, even those that hurt, because we all know life is a journey and sometimes on our journeys there are potholes.
This was a well-written, contemporary romance that gave the tourist insight into Greece while still processing the emotional baggage of abuse. Beth finds joy in the simple pleasures of traveling through Greece, she also discovers that she can fill her soul with new love, even when the equations don't add up.

This was a fun, easy read that would be perfect for lounging by the pool or on the beach. The main character is very lovable and meeting all of the other interesting characters was entertaining to say the least. Greece sounds like a magical and beautiful place and I was so excited to read about it! Perfect light book for the summer! Can Hallmark please turn this into a movie!!

I'm back for my third outing to Greece with this great author. This time to Skiathos - the location for the Mama Mia films.

Becky got sucked into a life of abuse with her horrible ex. But when he almost killed her, she knew she had to leave. She disappeared to the other side of the country and her elderly parents came with her. She's made a new life for herself and found a few ride-or-die friends along the way. But her little shop is struggling and she's paranoid that some helpful features in a local publication might help the ex find her. She gets some relief in the form of an unexpected holiday. Her well-heeled uncle is off on his travels and offered up his villa to Becky for a few weeks and she jumps at the chance.

Taking her two besties in tow, they set off for Skiathos. Becky and the girls take to Greece like ducks to water and are soon steeped in local life, while also trying out a few tacky tourist tours to keep things exciting.

Meeting a grumpy local on a local bench however sets Becky on a whole new path.

OMW Paige and Abby are just about the best friends a girl could get. They each have their own problems and yet still manage to be there for Becky. Paige should really rub the wrong way with her party-girl antics but she is actually really sweet. Kyros and Becky are a really sweet and slow-burn couple. They really do start off as friends and are comfortable with one another, probably helped by the fact that Kyros and his family are known to Becky's uncle.

I loved learning more about the intrepid trio's trials and troubles. Becky opening up to Kyros about her ex was very well done and he handled it so well. It would be easy to just make this into a summer fling but these two were so worthy of a full-on HEA, they thoroughly deserved it. The odious ex got his just desserts too!

Another great addition to the collection and my only quibble was it was set on Skiathos and not my "2nd home" island of Rhodes LOL. Wonderful characters, gentle but loving romance, and a beautifully detailed description of Greek island life.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I am a self proclaimed lover of chic lit/beach read books. This book has definitely checked all the boxes. I love a book where the main character goes to another Country and discovers herself/heals herself, finds love, etc. Yes, I am a sap that way - a lover of Hallmark Channel Movies. This book gave me complete Hallmark Channel Movie vibes. I can definitely see Candace Cameron Bure or Lacey Chabert playing the main character and Victor Webster playing the hunky love interest.

With all that said - there were a couple parts that fell flat, or were never fully fleshed out. I won't go in to details because I don't want to spoil it - but it was the reason for her needing to heal. That whole situation and resolution could have been a little more fleshed out.

All in all it was a nice, quick and fun read. One that definitely made me want to visit Greece!

I was really disappointed in this book. I was expecting a whirlwind holiday romance filled with rom-com worthy moments. What I got was uneventful and utterly boring. The plot moved at a snails pace and the storyline did not feel natural at all. The romance did not receive the proper attention and I feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities to really make something memorable. Honestly, this is a book I would have been ok not finishing, but when I realized that I was still hoping something exciting would happen. Spoiler: nothing exciting ended up happening.

The story itself was a good concept and the setting of Greece was lovely. It was very descriptive of the area and food I sometimes felt that I was reading a travel or cookery book. I did not need to know in detail every meal that was eaten and ended up skipping over these. I didn’t really warm to the characters and felt that there wasn’t enough depth to them. I would have loved to have known the backstory behind Aunt Bea, but that was never forthcoming.
As a romantic novel I felt that the romance could have happened sooner and I never really got a vibe between these characters.
Also, in my opinion the ending was rushed.
The Mama Mia section was quite a good idea, but again felt a bit flat as was just a narrative of the area that could have been got from the film.

🌊Happy, sunny: girl power bonding activities while romance blooms☀🍷🍽🛥💘

3.5-4 🌟 stars
I found this story a minimal angst read, perfect for taking on vacation or reading if you can't get away and dream of warm days of foreign sun, sand and great Mediterranean cuisine. Three friends get an opportunity to travel to Greece and share good times. Two of the three have established relationships and lead Becky isn't looking for a man but one finds her!

For me, this story had its moments of frank girl talk and romance but it was dominated with a long list of holiday activities as they swim, lounge, sight-see and eat their way around the island. I found the emotional element a bit lacking despite the newfound romance. Enjoyable but not particularly exciting or memorable and the ending seemed a bit premature.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I felt like I had hopped on a plane and landed in Greece myself. A fun, light read, that takes you on vacation. The author does an incredible job of making you feel like you're in Greece. Recommend.

Thank you to Bookouture, NetGalley, and the author for an advanced reading copy.

This was a good, light summer read. Loved the descriptions of Greece and the beach. Becky and her friends are all likable. I did not feel like there was a ton of depth to the story or characters and some parts seemed a little glossed over but overall was an enjoyable read. This was my first read by this author.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. Pure, unadulterated escapism! This is the perfect book for those of us who are missing out on a sun holiday. It’s fun, it’s light and yes, the end is predictable. BUT the journey through the book is so enjoyable. Brought to mind vivid memories of wonderful holidays in Rhodes! Well written and likeable characters, this book also touches on some serious topics without going into too much detail. Highly recommended for some addictive escapism!

I enjoyed the description of the Greek island of Skiathos, the warm seas and sunny skies took me back to a holiday in Lesbos, although I wasn't as fortunate as Becky, who stays in her Uncle's luxury villa. She is there house - sitting with her friends whilst her uncle is away on a sailing holiday. She meets Kyros, who runs a local restaurant with his brother, however is very nervous of relationships after having an abusive boyfriend.
The story is lighthearted, with their prospective romance simmering in the background, with Becky's friends adding to the humour. Again an ideal book for a summer read by the pool, or if you're not so fortunate, to help you escape a soggy English summer at least for a while.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

Many books I have read of Sue Roberts is so far based in Greece that I actually feel like I have visited Greece through the book though I have never visited physically there.

Shy Becky owns a shop that sells handmade lotions and soaps and after a disastrous romantic relationship which ended up with Becky in the hospital and her ex-boyfriend in prison, Becky was a bit skeptical about romance. That is until her uncle, Uncle Henry asks her to look after his villa in a small beach town in Greece. Becky along with her friends Paige and Abby goes to Greece for the vacation. And while in Greece, she meets a handsome Greek man named Kyros who owns a restaurant. The book is filled with the adventures in the island including a cruise, a party and a romantic candlelit dinner.

Just like all her books, I felt like I was in Greece while reading this book--the vivid descriptions and the Greek words and names of mouthwatering food (I had Greek food before at least). The writing was good but the ending was predictable as always, just like in case of romantic books. Becky is a likable character as the story is told mainly from Becky's point of view. I also like the friendship between Becky, Abby and Paige and the growing budding romance between Becky and Kyros. The only thing was as I mentioned earlier, the story is way too predictable as I know this is what was going to happen in the end and that there is going to be a happily ever after ending.

Overall, this is a cozy romantic novel that will make you feel like you are in Greece for the vacation--worth three and a half stars! Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only.

Becky's life is in tatters in so many ways so she leaps at the chance to spend time at a villa owned by her uncle in Skiathos, Greece. Her friends Paige and Abby join her and the three of them enjoy themselves with the food, the wine,. and the people but Becky- Becky meets Kyros. Is he the good guy she's hoped for? Well, this one is very trope-y but it's still a fun read, especially for those of us who really wish they could travel. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. It's light. it's fun, it's a good read to cheer you up on a. rainy day.

Missing travelling this summer? If that's the case then this is one for you!
Becky's uncle offers her the opportunity to come and stay in his villa in Greece when he goes off on a sailing trip. This retreat is perfectly timed, she is in need of a break and unbeknownst to her, her abusive ex has just been released from prison...
This book had great characters, an idyllic setting and lots of heart. Overall a very enjoyable read, the severity of her abusive relationship was glazed over somewhat though addressed sensitively.
With thanks to netgalley for the advance read copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun summer read and traveling to Greece through reading was nice. Though, it was hard to really get into the landscape because there was a lot of telling instead of showing through descriptions. The characters also felt like things were just being thrown at them hoping something would stick, instead of choosing just a few to develop with greater detail. Other than that it was a quick travel book perfect to read while on the beach or in the airport.

This sweet contemporary romance is about a woman from England with a past history of suffering from abuse travels to Greece with her friends and the joy she finds there including a new man in her life. It is a great quick easy read.
