I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters were so likable, feelings were real, and the story flowed so easily from one scene to another.
Becky's uncle has asked her to bring some friends and watch his villa in Greece for two weeks. All three ladies have the time of their lives, but also do some soul searching. Becky confronts the ghost of her past and is able to make a new brighter future for herself. Feel good story for sure!
Great beach read.

Becky has moved her life due to an abusive relationship. When her uncle calls her to come house sit, in his villa in Greece, her and two girlfriends jump at the opportunity to vacation in Greece for the holiday.
What she doesn't expect is to find love. She meets Kyros who owns a family restaurant, and some would say it is love at first site.

When she arrives home, she finds out her ex-boyfriend Scott, has been released from jail. What she doesn't expect is that he will find her.

A cute and charming love story! I loved this story, I thought it was super cute. Made me want to travel to Greece. I love the bond that she has with her friends. Even though, she is scared to try love again, she can't seem to help it with Kyros, and her new home may someday, eventually be Greece.
If you are into cute romance novels, this is the novel for you!

I was excited to read this book - I love traveling to Greece through reading - but unfortunately, I just couldn’t finish it. This was way too much “telling” rather than showing, and the dialogue wasn’t very realistic. The story had a lot of potential, but it fell short for me.

Greece actually is a good summer read that will transport you to a beautiful beach in Greece. I felt the author could have done a better job of pulling the reader into the story. I felt parts of the story the author lingered and drew out parts and in other areas, where you wanted more, it was rushed. Nice quick read.

Every time I pick up a book by Sue Roberts I know I am going to be whisked off to some beautiful location and surround by amazing coastal areas, quaint towns and villages and descriptions of amazing food that I can almost taste. This book was no exception.

We meet Becky, owner of a little shop selling handmade soap, the business isn't doing to well, and after a rather traumatic relationship she is need of a little break from it all. so she heads to Skiathos after being incited by her Uncle look after hi villa whilst he's away on a trip.. Taking two of her friends along for the ride the girls have a fun filled 10 day stay on the island, and tour around some amazing places. A few of which feature in the Mamma Mia films. It is filled with lots of laughs, amazing food, wine and great company. Made me want to be there myself tagging along with the girls. Mix in a handsome Greek restaurant owner and you have the perfect summer read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts. Expected Publication: August 13, 2021

I loved this book! It has such a summery vibe and it was a joy to read. I loved visiting Greece whilst I was at university and this book took me right back there - with road trips to visit ruins and delicious Greek food. Loved the main character, Becky and her small homemade soaps / lotions business set in a northern town close by to where I live, it made it feel as if her and her friends were people I could bump into when visiting ormskirk market and made their characters so much more relatable. I have just downloaded several more of Sue’s books to read during my summer break and can’t wait to be taken to Italy and France in the next two.

Love it, love it, love it! This book was a perfect reminder that we can make errors in our life and also have the right to love again, and of course, have a vacation! I'm keen I had the chance to read it, definitely needed it.

I love it when Sue Roberts writes another book set in Greece and invites me along for an armchair travel! If you aren’t familiar with this author, she capably places her readers in the setting with her vivid descriptions, her characters are always authentic, and her relaxed, easy going plots are realistic and engaging.

In this book, Becky has just relocated and opened a new business when the offer to spend time on the Greek island of Skiathos is presented by her Uncle Henry. He knows that Becky is still reeling from an abusive relationship and knows that Greece is just what his niece needs. Thankfully, Becky’s arm is easy to twist and soon Abby, Paige and Becky are heading off to azure waters.

I’d be right there with Becky as (1) she boards the ABBA tour boat…with my ‘microphone,’ belting out the familiar tunes to some of my favourite songs, (2) as she tries out amazing restaurants and (3) as she soaks up the sun on beautiful sandy beaches.

When she meets dreamy Kyros, a local restaurant owner, she falls head over heels. As the holiday comes to a close, Becky is wondering if she can maintain a long-distance relationship or chalk it up to a holiday romance and head home to structure and security.

Roberts has found the perfect recipe for escape reading with a touch of sweet holiday romance for all of us armchair travelers who await our chance to travel post pandemic restrictions.

This easy-going, clean romance with great travel vibes and a few giggles should be on your radar come August 13, 2021.

I was gifted this advance copy by Sue Roberts, Bookouture, and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Fun, sun drenched novel that had me reaching for my suncream. Becky has escaped the clutches of an abusive ex and rebuilt her life in a new town where she has a shop selling her lovely handmade soaps and lotions. Her parents have relocated to be with her and she has made good friends who love her. The shadow of Scott still looms over her especially as he's due to be realised from prison having served a sentence for stabbing her. Against her better judgement, she agrees to let a magazine writer do a feature on her shop, hoping it's a magazine Scott is unlikely to read. While pondering these misgivings, Becky' s uncle asks her to house sit his beautiful villa in Greece and invites her to bring her friends along for a holiday. The three friends jump at the chance and set off to enjoy the blissful Greek scenery, sunshine, people and culture. Whilst there Becky meets the tall, dark and very handsome Kyros and their relationship blossoms under the summer sun. But will it wither when Becky has to return home to England?

A perfect summer read for those out there needing an escape! Roberts crafted a paradise while maintaining a level of realism that was refreshing in this genre. I enjoyed how each character couldn't entirely escape the real world. From beach days to nights out, the protagonist found herself on adventures the audience could realistically bring to life (with a flight to Greece, of course). I wanted the relationship to come earlier in the book and at times, Roberts opted to show rather than tell. I found myself wishing she had lingered on some scenes longer or added more dialogue to truly flesh out a moment. Regardless, I recommend this book to those wanting a trip without leaving having to leave their home.

This is a fun and heartwarming romance with a strong friendship element. Set in the beautiful Greek Islands (the area where Mama Mia is filmed it really gives a strong sense of location. I could almost taste the food!
Loved the romance but was more interested in the relationship between Becky, Paige and Abbey after all men come and go (ok not as handsome and sexy as Kyrios)but friends are there forever.
However, it was also great to see Becky get her happy ending after surviving her previously abusive and controlling boyfriend.
Perfect with a cocktail and a bowl of snacks.

Mamma Mia! What a great summer beach read! Romance and intrigue abound.

Becky and her best friends Paige and Abby travel to Greece to the island of Skiathos to have a sun filled and worry-free holiday, compliments of Becky’s uncle Henry. As they explore the fabulous scenery, turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, and the seaside village, they also explore their lives. Abby is plagued with guilt over leaving her towns and boyfriend of 15 years. Paige is missing being away from her newlywed husband. Becky lacks confidence in men and is trying to relax and enjoy her time but worried and fearful after hearing news that her ex-boyfriend has just been released from prison, having served time for assaulting her. While in Greece, they mingle with the locals (mostly men) but Abby and Paige come to appreciate all that they left at home in England. Becky meets one special man in particular, Kyros who makes her believe in herself again. Can Becky find love again?

With a strong interest in Greece and in hopes of visiting someday, I found the descriptions of the scenery, the food, the people, the culture to be detailed and fascinating. However, the story itself was a bit trite and not very engaging to get the reader to really care about the characters plight. If you are looking for a beach read that you can pick up and put down then pick up again, this would be a good one. For fans of Mamma Mia and ABBA, you would enjoy all the references to where it was filmed. It is a harmless little story but set in a beautiful location.

Greece Actually by Sue Roberts is the perfect summer read, and really hit the spot for me as I have been dreaming for months of a Greek escape. As always, Ms Roberts has curated the most joyful virtual holiday, and I loved being invited along on the journey.

Becky has a good life in the UK, one that she has created for herself following the end of an abusive relationship. When a chance to visit her uncle in Skiathos presents itself, Becky jumps at the chance and invites her two best friends to join her. Sun, sand, and sea are the only requirements on this holiday. But when a handsome local man, Kyros, makes the scene, Becky wonders if, given the trauma of her past relationship, she can ever trust enough to truly fall in love.

This is the ideal beach read, and I cannot wait for the opportunity to visit this beautiful island and partake in my own Mamma Mia! tour.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

This is a fun and sweet book set in one of the fabulous Greek Islands. I absolutely loved the setting, characters and the storyline. When I finished the book I felt content and happy for the characters.

The author couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting for this story and I so wanted to be sitting in the villa enjoying the breathtaking views. In Greece. The parts set in England also sounded like a wonderful place to live with the markets and the lovely cottages. The three friends were different from each other which made for a more realistic group. I thoroughly enjoyed their friendship being, what I felt was, the major story with romance as the back up story. I didn’t think Becky’s ex added much to the story but her parents were so cute. The ending was a bit of a surprise but I look forward to following this author for future books. I loved the ABBA and Mam Mia references as it allowed me to picture the setting from the movie.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Mamma Mia! You need to jump right in to this funny, romantic story. Beth and her friends will take you on fun-filled holiday to the warm sunny beaches of Skiathos and behind.. Love is in the air, but is it just a fling? or the real thing? You will not be disappointed in the sights, sounds and smells of the Greek Islands. I read this book in 2 sittings as I needed a sunny vacation.

. I've always wanted to travel to Greece and after reading this book I feel like I've walked the streets and seen all the amazing beach views.

Wish I had this book to read while on the Greece coast! This is the ultimate summer beach read following the life of Becky. A quiet young woman, who escaped to a small town after a domestic violence and unhealthy situation with her spouse who was ultimately put in jail. Becky opened a small soap shop and made friends with the local vendors on the street and a few girlfriends. When Becky's uncle needs someone to housesit for him, he reaches out to Becky. Becky brings along two close girlfriends to explore the coast with. They enjoy the beach, good food and exploring. During their daily adventures, Becky meets a local who runs a restaurant near their house. Sparks instantly flew! We watch Becky come to terms with letting herself date again after her last traumatic experience.

This book was so cute and made me want to book a flight to Skiathos, Greece! It’s such a fun, light, summer read. It’ll sweep you away to make you feel like you’re on vacation in Greece!

Becky has been staying in her comfort zone ever since she ended up in the hospital by her ex-boyfriend a couple years ago. Ever since then, she’s been playing it safe by staying in a small town and not drawing attention to her whereabouts. Her Uncle Henry offers for her and a couple of her friends to stay in his house in Skiathos, Greece while he’s away. Becky and her friends go out and explore the wondrous town of Skiathos while also meeting some handsome Greek men on the journey. Along the way, Becky meets a very handsome man named Kyros, a restaurant owner in the town. The vacation leads the three friends to have thoughts and feelings about their lives that they didn’t think they would experience on this trip to Greece.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The romance took awhile to show up which made me feel like this book was more about the friendship that Becky had with Abby and Paige. My only issue with the book was the lack of romance. It was there, but not enough. Other than that, I thought the author did an amazing job at portraying the strength of friendships. The three friends have been through a lot, and deserved to go on vacation to have time for themselves. The writing was beautiful, and made me feel like I was there with Becky, Abby, and Paige on many occasions. Overall, this book was amazing, hilarious, and to be honest, heartwarming!

This is the first book that I’ve read from this author but it definitely will not be the last!
