It was like going on vacation with my best friends, making new friends and visiting family and catching up. Feels like I actually traveled to Greece and seen the sites.

Very light reading, but enjoyable, I suppose, for the reader who loves descriptions of the water, food, beaches while on holiday. It's very much written in a "tell not show" type of writing, so I never felt as if I could dig into any type of character or storyline.

Oh my, this is a gorgeous summer read! The author takes us to Greece where we invited to keep Becky and her friends company during their vacation. We are treated to a bit of history, beautiful sceneries, mouth watering local dishes and refreshing drinks. We dive into the warm sea, go on boat trips and tag along wherever they go.

Becky, the main character, has some trust issues which is very understandable after what she went through, but will she be able to open her heart again and fall head over heels? At first she was determined to not let anyone in again, but what can you do when Cupid shoots an arrow?

We meet some lovely and not so lovely characters and we are witnessing strong friendships growing even stronger.

It’s a lovely sunny story with some great banter between the girlfriends but there was also room for an oh-no-this-cannot-be-happening moment.

Longing for a holiday? If you pick up this book you will be on one, without needing to pack, travel or do the washing afterwards! ;) 5 stars

Thank you

A Dollop Of Fun…
Sunshine, sea, sand, romance and a dollop of fun in the latest Summer read from Sue Roberts. Protagonist, Becky, decides to embrace Greek life on the beautiful island of Skiathos, but could this be a permanent move for her? Enjoyable and entertaining as always, a romcom for an ideal holiday read from armchair or otherwise.

A warm and fun summer read. Becky is invited by her uncle to stay at his villa on a Greek island while he takes a cruise with some friends. She asks her friends Abby and Paige, and they come for the first half of her 2 weeks. Meeting Kyros was an added bonus. Not a super Mama Mia fan, but if you are there are parts that they mention areas from the movie. Also, the description stated a Laugh Out Loud story. I must have missed that part, as I didn't laugh much. I did however enjoy this one, and found it hard to put down. Would recommend this one and eagerly look for more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book by Sue Roberts though i did think the ending was rather rushed. I hope there is a sequel.

I love this authors books so I couldn’t wait to read this and got stuck in straightaway and once I had picked it up I couldn’t put it down. It transports the reader to a sunny happy place and would make the perfect summer holiday read. This authors books have made me want to visit Greece in the future as the place is described in brilliant detail from the sights the sounds the tastes and the smells I felt like I was there and was perfect escapism from a dull wet day at home. This was more than just a romantic read as described other topics on a deeper level and gave the reader an insight into all of
The characters lives. I would love a sequel to see what happens with Becky and kyros in the future. This was a lovely happy feel good read.

I love the books that Sue Roberts writes. I love the setting in Greece. The covers make me want to dive right into them and luxuriate in the loveliness. Greece Actually is a cute read. Becky is able to vacation in her uncle’s villa with her two best pals and meets an exciting Greek man, Kyros. Her parents mind her shop and she explores the possibility of something long term with Kyros while her friends are sorting out their lives. I liked all the characters. I liked the references to the Mamma Mia movie. I love ABBA, having listened to them when they were in their prime over 40 years ago. The villain element of Becky’s ex is inserted for drama. The ending was a bit of a surprise. It fits the story and is open ended. I really want to travel to Greece and live one of Roberts’ stories.

This book is a great summer read. It's definitely a getaway. I loved the atmosphere of the book. Sue Roberts excels at scenic descriptions. From the sights to the food to the sounds, I felt fully immersed in the story.

I also enjoyed the female friendships in this book and the different subplots with our main character's friends. I liked how we saw glimpses of other relationships in the book besides the primary romantic relationship. It enhanced some of the themes about relationships in the book. My only issue with the book was the pacing of the romance plot. The romance storyline starts kind of late in the book and feels rushed. I wish it was more spread throughout the whole book. Still, I'd recommend this book to anyone in need of a summer getaway.

Thank you for letting me review this book!

This is an endearing romance novel with just the right balance of humour, charm and entertaining characters, without the sickly sweet-ness usually found in this genre.
I enjoyed the simplicity of this story and despite many of the plot functions being hugely predictable, it did not hamper enjoyment.
I would recommend this book as well-written, escapism I highly recommend this book for a nice lighthearted read with a very deep meaning which will stay with you once you have finished reading the book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
