Kristy Woodson Harvey hits this novel out of the park! I found Christmas in Peachtree Bluff to be a heartwarming novel fills with family moments and holiday cheer. It is the fourth book in an established series, so while you don't have to read the first three in order to understand everything, it certainly helps.

The Murphy matriarch, Ansley, is very excited to see her three grown daughters and their families come home to Peachtree Bluff for the holiday season. A major hurricane is on its way as well, but nothing can stop Ansley from celebrating with her family. Unfortunately the weather takes a turn for the worse and the family must trust in each other to get everyone to safety.

This novel has a great mix of drama and danger, along with the peacefulness readers come to expect from a Christmas themed novel. This is a perfect series for readers familiar with Elin Hilderbrand and Mary Kay Andrews.

This was the first book I have ever read for the Peachtree bluff series and I loved it. This family is truly one of a kind and I loved how supportive but real they were with each other. Felt like a real family for a change, and not something that was just having drama to have drama, but instead had real problems and mishaps that they were addressing and dealing with together.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff follows the Murphy family as they get ready for Christmas, and while they all have big plans, those plans end up changing quickly due to a hurricane of the century happening.

Overall I loved this book. I loved seeing all the different pov's from all the different Murphy women and the lives they had created. For the first time ever I didn't have a favorite, and I loved all of them equally and enjoyed seeing what would happen in their lives next as they all lived such different lives. The fact that this was set around Christmas made the book even better, as we saw the entire family come together to rebuild and spend time with one another.

While this is the third or fourth book in the series I didn't feel like I was missing anything with having not read the first books in the series. I was able to jump right in and just read what the family was doing now and enjoy it. Having said that though I do think I will be going back and starting the series from the beginning because of how much I enjoyed reading about them.

( I read a finished copy of this book. I will be posting the review on my blog readingwithwrin.wordpress.com during Christmas in July 2024)

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I requested this book because I have read other books by this author and loved them all...and I am happy to say that I loved this one just as much. Three generations of women are getting together with their families for the holidays even though a hurricane is on the horizon...the matriarch does not believe this hurricane will hit so she goes forth with her plans anyway and pretty much all Hell breaks loose...this is the 4th novel in the series and it was so nice to be spending time with these people again, especially for Christmas. I love the characters, I love the story line, and I love the setting...even though this city doesn't actually exist, from what I read it is based on a city by another name in South Carolina...I love it so much that I want to go visit that city... I will read anything by this author but I especially love this family.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I really enjoyed the narrator's and this book must be part of a series. I love books that take place in the south the characters were interesting etc. I feel like this book isn't very Christmasy?

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher.

never read Christmas themed books but this is an exception to my rule since I love her books, both stand alone and this series, which I think is the only series I may have been completed over who knows how many years.

It's great being back with this family and I really get to know them more in every book I've read.

I love every sister, every character and the humor and love they have for each other.

My heart was in my throat when Ansley, Jack and Vivi got stuck in the hurricane when they couldn't get out in time to go on a cruise to Australia thanks to Vivi's untimely occurrence. Don't want to spoil it by saying what happened to those who haven't read

I was so excited to get back to Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy women. The three sisters and their mother are four of my favorite characters of all time. KWH does a great job of sharing their flaws and struggles while making them loveable. From the first page until the last, I rooted for all four of these women to succeed as mothers, business women, wives, and friends. This was a perfect addition to the series!

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Another AWESOME book by Kristy Woodson Harvey. The next time someone asks me what series I recommend…THIS will be my answer. After completing all 4 books in the Peachtree Bluff Series, I can without a shadow of a doubt say this is my favorite series so far. I was approved for this Christmas one through NetGalley and I almost read it immediately upon getting it. I am so glad I listened to a friend who said “No! Don’t read it until you’ve read the first three”. I was lucky to be able to read all four books one right after another. At no point was I ever bored or sick of the characters. I loved each one and the storylines for all the Murphy women throughout the whole series! This was a perfect conclusion by ending with a Christmas book. I am a sucker for all Hallmark Christmas movies and this felt exactly like that to me as I was reading it! I read in the acknowledgments that the author had not originally planned to add a 4th book. I’m so glad that she changed her mind. I know I said it was a great way to conclude the series but I’m not going to lie, I would love a 5th book someday!! I feel like these are characters that I would never get tired of reading!

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review! And thank you to Kristy Woodson Harvey for adding a 4th book to an already wonderful and successful series of 3.

An unexpected reunion with the Murphy women? What is not to love!

After hearing that the Peachtree Bluff trilogy was over, I was so sad to bid farewell to these wonderful characters, so when Kristy Woodson Harvey announced that there would be a fourth book, I was over the moon. As always, KWH delivered and it was so nice to be reunited with these characters one more time!

Kristy Woodson Harvey NEVER disappoints and, as a native of a very small town, I always enjoy returning to Peachtree Bluff in these novels. I hope we haven't seen the last of these characters and/or this town but, even if so, I will always think about them fondly and can hardly wait for her next release!

t was such a delight to be back in Peachtree Bluff with the Murphy women! As I had anticipated going in, it took no time at all for me to become fully invested in the story, back into the Murphy world. I once again enjoyed coming alongside each of the characters and really appreciated how real and relatable they are. It’s not always common to love reading about each and every character equally in a multiple POV story, but that was indeed the case here. Everything about this story was so cozy and filled with that Southern charm that Kristy writes best. While it of course had it’s fill of secrets and drama, overall this was an uplifting story of forgiveness, family, and home in every sense of the word. This book quite possibly checked the box as my favorite in the series. 100% recommend picking up not only this book for those of you who have read the previous books in this series (please do!), but absolutely encourage anybody considering these books to start in the very beginning and fall in love as I know so many others have along with me.

Many thanks to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the gifted e-copy!

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

Having been a fan of Slightly South of Simple, The Secret to Southern Charm and The Southern Side of Paradise– when hearing about Christmas in Peachtree Bluff, I knew I had to have it. Plus, that cover! SO Christmas-y!

Kristy Woodson Harvey has long time been my go-to author for a summer read. Something that gets me anticipating the long days of summer, the smell of sunscreen, the feel of the sun on my shoulders, my body sliding through the water as I swim to the deep end. I never had any doubt that she could do a Christmas themed novel- but if YOU do, let me say it loud for the people in the back- KWH can write the heck out of a Christmas themed novel. The traditions the Murphy family have, the magic charm of Peachtree Bluff (which may be even more magical in the winter!) and the strength of family really made this book stand out amongst the Christmas reads I did read (and the ones I still need to read!)

What I liked:

The COVER. It’s gorgeous. So perfect for Christmas!

The bonds between the Murphy family. These are strong bonds and while they may get frustrated with each other from time to time, they are there for each other in the most amazing ways.

The ending. While I do feel the Peachtree Bluff series is over, I also love how KWH did leave room for some type of reunion or for these characters to possibly pop up in a future book in some way….

Bottom line: If you love Christmas themed books and you loved the Murphy women, then Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is for you!

I became a Kristy Woodson Harvey fan because of her Peachtree Bluff series. I thought it had ended as a trilogy, and was delighted to see that she'd come out with a fourth book in the series. This new one did not disappoint. One of the things I love about her books is the humanity of her characters. They aren't perfect. They make mistakes, despite waffling and worrying and stressing over decisions they have to make. In this new book, some of the decisions made in past books have panned out. Others, not so much. And there's a new crisis in the form of a late-in-the-season hurricane bearing down on Peachtree Bluff right around Christmas. And as usual, it's fun to catch up with the the old favorite characters and meet some new ones.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff by Kristy Woodson Harvey was such a fun read, I would highly recommend it even though Christmas is past. I read it in early January and still enjoyed every single page. I have been a fan of Kristy Woodson Harvey since I discovered her in with the book Dear Carolina and every book of hers has received five stars from me, they are that enjoyable. Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the fourth in the Peachtree Bluff series and while I do feel you could read it as a standalone, it would be all the more enjoyable if you had the detailed backstory included in books 1-3. The Christmas book is about the whole family, but a major storyline is about Vivi, Caroline's daughter. She has turned into a handful and her shenanigans have put her grandmother and grandfather, along with herself, in huge danger of the upcoming "storm of the century".
