I felt like I was going back in time revisiting this fun, somewhat dysfunctional, loving family. Although it really hadn't been THAT long since I last read them, it was nice to return to Peachtree to get caught up with their lives. Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley

Thanks to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed the advanced reader copy and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Welcome back to Peachtree Bluff and into the lives of the Murphy women! Ansley and Jack are about to embark on the trip of a lifetime however a hurricane is threatening to hit their town. Caroline is struggling through a divorce and trying to get through to her teenage daughter, Vivi. She hopes a trip to Peachtree Bluff and getting some advice from her own mother will help. Vivi has other ideas! The worsening storm forces a shelter in place for some of the townsfolk who didn’t make it out in time. The family bands together to help in the rescue attempts.
I love this series and this family so much! I want to be part of Peachtree Bluff. The morning coffee debacle, town Christmas events and small town charm. I love it all! The characters the author has come up with all are relatable and have complex struggles they try to overcome. I appreciate that they have some depth and real life events that allow the reader to connect with. If you e been following this series, you won’t be disappointed in this fourth book! Even though Christmas is over, this book will keep the Christmas spirit going into this new year with a lot of cozy coffee descriptions, family dynamics and heart!

This fourth book in the Peachtree Bluff series is full of family dynamics. I enjoyed that each chapter is told from a different female character’s view … from Ansley, the family matriarch; to Caroline, Sloane, and Emerson, the three daughters; to Vivi, the granddaughter. With emotions flying all over the place with each character’s personal drama, you factor in in a hurricane and everything I topsy turvy. I have loved the town and people of Peachtree Bluff since book one. I want to move there and become part of this group of amazing people and develop deep friendships with the people who call it home.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

I sat down to read it in the fall, and I knew it was going to be special. I knew it was something I was going to need during the Christmas season to get in the Christmas mood while reading by the tree. Sorry, Kristy for not reading it when I first got it, but really I’m not sorry. This book lived up to all my expectations. And I’m SO happy I read it this week. I can truly say that I’m officially in the Christmas spirit and I’m ready for all our family traditions…..but I really wish I had some of those Peachtree Bluff traditions in my town!

Great book. I wish she would write more on this family. The ex-husband James could have his own story. Jack is a great grandfather to Vivi, I hope she has more story too.

Peachtree Bluff is a quintessential town where the Murphy family resides. Days after Thanksgiving, there is a hurricane coming for the town. This book jumps in with likeable characters and do not need to have read any other of the Peachtree books in order to enjoy this story. The examples of family and small town community were heartwarming. I enjoyed the multiple points of views, as it helped round out the details and the events in the story! The setting was so well written I could envision it in my mind and felt as I was walking along with them. It was the perfect holiday story that coukd be read all year round!
Thank you Kristy Woodson Harvey, NetGalley and Gallery Books for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy Girls are my favorite place to "visit"! I was one dying for an update on the family after we finished the trilogy, and it was a perfect step back into it!

I really enjoyed this book. This was the first book I read in the Peachtree Bluff series but I had no trouble reading. We read about how the women deal with an oncoming hurricane that threatens their homes and hometown. Now I want to go back and read the rest. I was provided a copy by Netgalley but it did not influence my review.

This novel made me pause, go back and read the first 3 installments in the Peachtree Bluff series, then come back to it. I am SO GLAD I DID! I know it can function as a stand-alone, but with all the history and with all my friends telling me to read the series, I jumped at the chance!

I loved this series, and I loved this novel. So good. Highly recommend it!

There’s a hurricane coming, and really it is quite the metaphor. The family bonds are currently tested in this novel set quaintly within the Christmas season.

Loved the southern hometown feel of this novel and I will 100% read more from Kristy Woodson Harvey in the future!

Thank you to Gallery Books for my gifted copy in exchange for my honest review!

Hot chocolate on a cold night in front of the fire. That’s what this book felt like, and I absolutely loved it. This was my first read of the Peachbluff series, and I can’t wait to read her previous works. Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy!

Family drama with a large family and a lot going on! Many different dramas and a “storm of the century” on its way. I enjoyed the family dynamics and the setting. I had a hard time keeping track of characters because there’s a lot of them! Some of them were insufferable. Overall a fun read and I enjoyed the family atmosphere. 3.5 ⭐️

I love the women of Peachtree Bluff and the whole series of books. I love that the last book in this series is Christmas book. The holidays, family issues and the possibility of a hurricane make for a good read.

Though not my favorite in the Peachtree Bluff series, I really enjoyed this book. In the final installment about the women of Peachtree Bluff, we read about how the women deal with an oncoming hurricane that threatens their homes and hometown. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about the family and this was a great way to close out the series!

Excited to have all three of her grown daughters—Caroline, Sloane, and Emerson—and their kids—Vivi, Adam Jr. (AJ), Taylor, Preston, and Carter—home for the holidays, mother Ansley is determined that the threat of a late-season hurricane will not ruin their precious time together. Will her conviction be enough to coerce a storm into extinction?

The Southern Side of Paradise (5 stars) was supposed to be the third and last in this series, so this Christmas-themed story was an unexpected gift. It was one of my most anticipated reads of 2021, and I was like a kid on Christmas as I first opened the book and got reacquainted with the inhabitants of Peachtree Bluff. Luckily for me, it not only met but exceeded my expectations!

Just like the rest of the series, Christmas in Peachtree Bluff was real, heartwarming, humorous, romantic, and suspenseful. The storm scenes were tense and terrifying. My heart was so incredibly warmed by this story, making me feel like the Grinch because my heart kept growing and growing with happiness the more I read. A huge thank you to the author for changing her mind and writing another one; this whole series is just plain MAGIC!

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. I started Christmas in Peachtree Bluff, and then realized I really needed to read the rest of the series first. This series has been on my TBR for awhile, so it looks like it is time to bump it up!

This is the fourth book in a four book (at the time of this review) series. If you haven’t read the first three books you can still read this one, that’s what I did without realizing it was the fourth in a series. I think that’s the theme for 2021 for me. Read books way deep into the series and see if they make sense or not. Well, this one did but I do recommend you read the first three first because you go into this one feeling like you should just know so much more about these characters than you do. You feel like everyone else knows everything about them but you. Sort of like you started watching a 25 year old soap opera 15 years in (that’s a bit of an exaggeration but still). You can catch on, and quickly, but you still feel like you’re missing something. I’ll do a super brief ‘about this’ section because I don't really want to risk giving anything character specific away just in case.
The Murphy women are all having different issues going on in their lives so the first thing they do is head home to Mom. There they know they can figure out what they are going to do next. With one heading for divorce, she asks if she can leave her 15 year old daughter Vivi with them since she has been acting out so badly. Now, with the storm of the century coming, a 15 year old who has pulled a disappearing act, and three siblings who already left the island having to conduct their own rescue team, what could possibly go right?
Take the drama down a tad and this book is also about rebuilding everything from relationships to a town to trust. Family is at it’s core even though the family can be hard to relate to at times. Vivi seems to be able to get away with a whole lot more than most kids would get away with, divorce or not, and that can be a bit hard to swallow when you are reading this but all in all (Hollywood moments aside, meaning over the top stuff), this is a cute book and actually a lot of fun to read and get absorbed into. I do recommend starting at the beginning through, I think I’d have enjoyed it even more had I done that.

Not my favorite title though I enjoyed the other books in the series. It was more hurricane and less Christmas and I was really in the mood for a Christmas story. Too many characters and scenarios that never quite came together.
