I loved returning to Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy women one more time. It had been a while since I've read a Peachtree Bluff book and I appreciate the little reminders of each woman's story; it was just enough to jog your memory without being a total retelling. I usually love all the characters but in this book, Vivi really annoyed me, and for good reason, but she did redeem herself. I loved that all the women had appearances in this book, it felt like a nice way to finish the story of this family; especially over the holiday season. Fans of Peachtree Bluff and Woodson Harvey better not seep on this book!

This is a Christmas Romance/Family Drama, and this is the 4th book in the Peachtree Bluff series. I have not read the other books in this book series, but I did not feel lost while reading this book. I think you can read this book as a stand alone with no problems. I really loved the characters in this book, and the setting of this book is everything. I loved following this family, and I felt the loved of family that each character had for each other. I really enjoyed reading this book. The Christmas parts of this book was really good. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Gallery Books) or author (Kristy Woodson Harvey) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I would give this book 20 stars if I could. I’m such a fan of this series, that the characters started to feel like people I really knew. As with the previous books this was a home run! I can’t wait to read this one over and over at the holidays.

Thanks to NetGalley for the arc of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Kristy Woodson Harvey's latest novel set in Peachtree Bluff is a lovely little break from our normal lives. Harvey has an easily accessible writing style, her characters are relatable, and this reader kept returning to see what would happen next. While this is book 4 in a series you can read it as a stand alone as I did.. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book! A wonderful story of family, friends, and love. It’s the 4th book in the Peachtree Bluff series by Kristy Woodson Harvey, one of my favorite authors. I’ve read the others, and this book felt like visiting with old friends. Southern charm pervades the book, giving it a warm and homey feeling. I wish I lived in this town, could shop at their stores and be friends with these lovely characters.

Three generations of Murphy women are back in Peachtree Bluff for the holidays. Sloane, Emerson, Caroline and her teenage daughter Vivi are back with their mother Ansley.
Caroline is getting divorced, and Vivi is raising hell. Caroline thinks that she’ll be safer in Peachtree Bluff than in NYC. Ansley is going on an Australian cruise with her husband Jack and agrees to take Vivi. When a hurricane warning is issued, no one in town takes it seriously because it’s so late in the season. When an evacuation order comes down everyone here to leave.

Caroline and her sisters evacuate to New York. Back in Peachtree, Vivi runs away after finding out a family secret and the search for her goes on so long that now she, Ansley, Jack and the teenage son of one of their friends are trapped. When the hurricane is over, Peachtree is cut off from her world. Caroline and her family are frantic, and they come to the rescue on her boat.

The holiday traditions in the book are wonderful. The town has its own special traditions, as does the Murphy family. It put me in a holiday mood, and made me wish, yet again, that I could visit Peachtree Bluff. 5 stars.

This small-town holiday novel will get you talking.
We have a family that has to pull together during a stressful time and three generations of the Murphy women are up for the challenge. Because I enjoy the author's writing style I am looking forward to reading her other books in this series to catch up on the back stories.
I recommend this warm and fuzzy Christmas book to you.

It is so very me to start a series on book 4.

Luckily this read perfectly well as a stand alone with the author kindly adding little snippets of the character’s back stories to clue me in.

This is family and community oriented and it is as funny as it is charming with all the characters coming together to rally round. Whether that’s over wine to be there through personal difficulties, to brace for a hurricane (that Ansley swears will not happen) or simply to pass a coffee to its rightful owner.

Now I am English but unless you’ve been living under a rock you will probably have heard of Southern charm and manners. Where everyone is respectful and family is of high importance. I loved the television series Hart of Dixie and this encapsulated the same wonderful features.

With Vivi acting like the devil incarnate after her parents split and her mum Caroline close to breaking point, maybe a break to Peachtree bluff and being surrounded by loving family will be just what they need. From a teenage tornado to a full blown hurricane this family will need to pull together to save what really matters.

Narrated by Ansley, her daughters Sloane, Caroline, Emerson and granddaughter Vivi. Each character having their own stories running parallel to the main story. The author writes as easily from the view of a grandmother as she does a stroppy self absorbed oh woe is me the world is ending teenager.

This has drama, comedy, romance and characters that will hook you in. The writing flows beautifully and I became so absorbed in the story I was sad to reach the end.

I loved this book. As it was my introduction to this author, I was not sure what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the characters. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Cuddle up by the fire sipping a cup of hot chocolate – with the marshmallows, of course as recommended by Ansley, and a cozy blanket with this holiday read! We head back to Peachtree Bluff but this time for the holidays. This book was such a fun addition to the series because it felt like we were going for a visit with the family to “catch up” with them. It wasn’t just one couple’s romance story but a continuation of several of them as well as a couple budding new romances. The storm of the century puts the town in dire straights and the family must come together. We are reminded of the importance of family and home. I truly enjoyed this novel and love how the author can write from the viewpoint of generations of women with a unique voice. Definitely pick up the newest book in the Peachtree Bluff series!

Thank you @NetGalley and @Gallery Books for the opportunity to read and review this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful return to the Murphy family of Peachtree Bluff! I’ve adored this world ever since I picked up Harvey’s first book, and I was so glad to see all of my favorite characters back in action. A perfect book to read in the run-up to Christmas!

This book was cute and a perfect Christmas read. Being from the Midwest, concern for a Hurricane is a new one for me. While I expected light, fun and heart warming, it ended up being more work to read this book. This book took place with several characters having their own chapter and timeline. The author doesn't set up each of the characters well enough to be able to distinguish easily between them. I had a hard time distinguishing the couples in the book, which couple lived where and what was happening.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff

Christmas in on the way in Peachtree Bluff, with of all the cheer and festivities on the horizon that light up this Georgia town in December. With three generations of women at different stages of their life, old and new traditions are in the works, with home as the center. Sometimes the best laid plans can go adrift when Mother Nature intervenes, however. Kristy Woodson Harvey's newest addition to her beloved Peachtree Bluff series reveals more insight into the life circumstances and story of each character, as her writing adds layers to the saga of this family over the years.
Unexpected elements of danger and safety added suspense to this book, keeping me turning the pages even faster than usual in Kristy's books. The familiarity of the characters feels good, and Kristy's way with words makes it easy to feel the emotions of Ansley, her daughters, and family. Many of us have had times in which we felt like running away might be an option when life is overwhelming. In contrast, the need to return home is a very relatable theme, as well. Every trip to Peachtree Bluff as a reader is memorable, and this Christmas visit is especially celebrated and special.
Thank you to Net Galley and Gallery Books for the advance reader's copy and the opportunity to provide my unbiased review.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is the 4th novel in the Peachtree Bluff series. I'll admit I have only read books three and four but both are amazing. The series follows the Murphy family as they go through life's ups and downs. Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is told in the magical month between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The family's plans are turned upside down when 'the storm of the century" is forecasted to hit Peachtree Bluff shortly after Thanksgiving.

What I love most about this series is the writing style. You can picture the island of Peachtree Bluff throughout the book and the scenes as they are happening. I also love how much the family looks out for each other. There is drama in the series but it is not typically between family members. This edition is a perfect read for the Christmas Season (Hallmark Christmas movies started last Friday!). This is a feel good book you will want to read. As I said, I have not read the first two books in the series but they are on my TBR list. I would have had more background but the book does a good job explaining things that I didn't feel I missed anything by reading this book first.

Since I am a huge fan of the Murphy family and this series since reading Slightly South of Simple, I was thrilled to get an ARC of this latest Peachtree Bluff story, so I could read the book before the official release. It was great fun to get together with the family again and share in the wonderful way they faced the challenges of getting everyone there for Christmas.

And then the big storm.

Juggling kids and grandkids and exes and new loves isn’t easy under any circumstances, but with an impeding hurricane, there’s an added level of stress. Still, for Ansley, it’s so important that her “girls” come home for Christmas, that all the extra work and hassle is worth it. I could relate to that desire, as I share her need to have the kids around, no matter how old those kids might be. And preparing for the homecoming is so satisfying for someone whose heart belongs to those kids and grandkids. That comes across so clear in the way Ansley works at the decorating, baking, cooking, and polishing, to make everything just perfect for that magical day of Christmas.

Those are all such great ways to build lasting memories, and I delighted with the girls as they recalled moments from the past that are so special to them, especially the fun holiday traditions of the Murphy family. I suspect the festival of lights is based on a real event in the author’s hometown. If not, she certainly makes it believable, and it should be a real event.

The backstory from previous books is seamlessly woven in, so the reader gets to know enough about what has happened before to understand the importance of something now. Like the reason Vivi decides to run away as the hurricane approaches. It’s a biggie – the storm and the reason. Why the trip that Jack and Ansley have to cancel was so important to them. How do past loves fit into present day relationships. And what are people willing to let go to have more in the present.

The stories in the Peachtree Bluff series are light entertainment on the surface, but below the surface comes insights into relationships and families that are true to real life. After reading all the books in the series, I’ve come to know the people in the stories like they are real, complete with the good and the not-so-good, and that is a credit to the deft hand the author has with characterization.

I’m always a little disappointed when a story comes to an end, and I hope this isn’t the last time we share an adventure with the Murphy family

I finished this book just before I went to bed, and I dreamed of being in Peachtree Bluff. I saw Tyler and Vivi circling each other and trying to figure out the dating world. I saw Caroline worrying about Vivi and her acting out. I felt Ansley’s love at having all her girls together even with the hurricane heading their way. Everything about this book stayed with me and I loved it.

Kristy Woodson Harvey is amazing. Every character was realistic, the storyline was perfectly written, and the setting of Peachtree Bluff will always be my favorite. The smooth writing, the real feelings, and the loving family made this the perfect next book in this series. I love that the books do not have to be read in order but reading them in order will give the reader the backstory of the characters. Kristy Woodson Harvey does a great job of telling enough backstory of the characters so that new readers will know what is happening.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is a cozy and cute Christmas story. There is family drama, love, respect, and a hurricane.

As we revisit the Murphy women we know and love, this book reminds us why we love their strength which gets them through whatever life hands out, including a late hurricane as Christmas is approaching. It's full of resilience, community, secrets, unexpected treasures, family, love, and Christmas. As each member weathers the storms of life, they learn to appreciate what they have, and how to find joy in the magic of the season.

Cozy book which has all of the warmth of the holiday season!

I always enjoy books by Kristy Woodson Harvey. This book is 4th in a series. After the first chapter, I felt like I had caught up on the characters and storylines from the previous books. There is a "storm of the century" but will it ruin Christmas? This is a comfort read that will surely get you in the Christmas spirit,

I absolutely love, love, love the Peachtree Bluff series. And I love reading Christmas holiday books this time of year. Well, Kristy has combined two of my biggest bookish loves into a fabulous Christmas story centered around the Murphy family—a family I became enamored with from the very first book in this series.

There is plenty of drama in Peachtree Bluff as a hurricane is making it way inland and everyone is being asked to evacuate. Not everyone is able to leave and those who end up having to stay spend several intense days getting through the worst of it. The Murphy family pulls together once again, supporting each other the best that they can, even though its not always easy. So much drama, so much love.

I also loved all the holiday traditions that are such a big part of Peachtree Bluff. Even after the "storm of the century" threatens their beautiful town, everyone pulls together to celebrate and keep all of those age-old traditions alive. That was such a wonderful part of the story and made me wish I could be there for all of the celebrating. It filled me with such joy!

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is a story that I highly recommend! If you love Southern fiction then this would be perfect for you. This whole series is amazing. And then, if you also love reading Christmas stories, this is a definite must-read. It combines both of those elements exquisitely!

It took me all of 5 pages to be fully immersed back into the Murphy family and oh, how much I missed these ladies!⁣

But there’s a new lady in town - by the name of Pearl. And she’s the most dramatic of them all.⁣

Hurricane Pearl is headed on a direct path to destroy our beloved town of Peachtree Bluff and ruin the Murphy’s entire holiday season. But that’s not the only storm brewing in this family - divorce, bratty teens, commitment issues, long-buried secrets, mixed-up coffee orders (gasp!) and so much more threaten to be just as chaotic as this “storm of the century.”⁣

But leave it to these strong-willed women and a whole lot of southern hospitality and we now have my new favorite book in the series! I just adore this whole family - and I highly recommend reading the entire series from the beginning so you can meet all these wonderful women - you won’t be disappointed. ⁣

And … I’m thinking (hoping!) we may see more of Peachtree Bluff one day with the introduction of Vivi’s POV?! 🤞🏼 Hint, hint Kristy!
