This book just like the other books in this series did not disappoint. What happens when you have a shy artist, two cute pets and a girl he's had a crush on forever? A completely adorable story. It's been fun watching these two in the other books so I was super excited for this one.

This was the grumpy/sunshine story that my heart needed and it was good. Watching these two fight their feelings for each other while in the marriage of convenience is one of my favourite things about this one and when they finally get to it? It's just as fulfilling as you'd think.

The only downsides for me were the fact that the other siblings were left out in the whole marriage of convenience situation, one of the best part of this series is all the meddling. Also the marriage of convenience trope didn't quite fit in for me. I'm thinking forced proximity might have been a better angle.

As always I think there's a clue for who's story comes next and I'm already looking forward to it.

Chloe Liese sure does have a way with words. It’s hard to believe but I love every book and every couple more than the last! While you could read this book as a stand-alone, I enjoyed the other books in the series immensely, so suggest reading them all. This story features a couple of my favourite storylines, Sunshine/Grumpy and a marriage of convenience that becomes something more. The reoccurrence of a chronic health condition has forced Rooney Sullivan to take a break from Law School. Her best friend offers her the use of the Bergman family cabin, which will allow her to take the time to get her condition under control and reassess her goals and options. Artist Axel Bergman is in crisis mode, a leak in the cabin has created a huge amount of damage and it’s going to be very expensive to repair, normally this would not be a problem, he could just sell a few of his paintings and cover the cost of the repairs that way, but ever since Rooney kissed him during a game of charades, he’s been unable to paint the kind of work he is known for. The only solution he can see is to fulfil the terms of his uncles will and marry in order to collect his inheritance. The story is a steamy slow-burn friends to lovers, with matchmaking family members, excellent banter and the joy of finding that one person who truly gets you. I challenge you to read a Chloe Liese book and not get all the feels. It is just not doable.
Rooney and Axel share a kiss during charades and then she runs. Of course, the meddling Bergman family won't let that just be. They can see that the two of them are dancing around each other and just need a nudge. Rooney needed some time off of law school and with her chronic illness flaring up, the A-frame is the perfect place for some relaxation.
When she gets there, she finds Axel there and the place in disrepair. Little does his family know, the place is falling apart and he doesn't want to see it get sold, so he is fixing it himself. He just has to come up with the money to get it done. Luckily, as soon as he gets married he comes into some money.. not so luckily, he has zero prospects on the horizon.
Rooney and Axel come into an agreement of sorts and she agrees to marry him so that he can get the money to fix up the family cabin. It's a marriage of convience, loveless right? Well, they both have it bad for one another so all this forced proximity is going to get awkward.
Both of these characters are flawed and real, and that is what I enjoy most about Chloe's books, you get to see the bad with the good and it isn't all just sunshine and rainbows. This one I would have liked a little more conflict and more communication, but I really enjoyed this installment in the Bergman series.

Why is it always the hardest thing to write a review for a book that you love? I'm failing to find the words to convey HOW AMAZING this book is and I'm not even the least bit surprised because this series is one of my all-time favourites! If you're as much of a fan as I am of this family and this series, then I have no doubt Axel and Rooney's love story will send you over! I loved them SO MUCH my heart almost couldn't handle all the swoon-worthy and loving moments between these two. 😩

With all the Bergman Brothers books there is a certain level of softness to the story that effectively manages to sweep me off my feet every single time but this book took those tender moments and ramped it up so the whole story felt (to me) like a giant swoontastic and heartwarming hug. When I say this book had incredibly sweet and tender moments, I mean I must've swooned at least a thousand times over Axel and Rooney's exploration of feelings (that lustful pining though!) and their devotion to and care for each other.

This marriage-of-convenience might be a slow-burn but there's no doubt that Liese knows how to write that sexual tension because it was jumping off the pages and *phew* my Kindle was on FIRE, friends! Absolute F-I-R-E! 🥵 Aside from the steamy moments, I loved the way Axel and Rooney not only explored their feelings for each other, but I loved the journey both took to accepting themselves. Seeing them grow together and become more in tune with each other and themselves by realising that they still deserve to have love and be loved even if they love differently was so heartwarming and *chefs kiss*! My feelings—they were entirely smooshed! It's always refreshing to see characters in romances who are so emotionally open and willing to cultivate healthy communication, though that's not to say that they didn't have rocky moments, but thankfully, there was no excessive drama.

Although I can't speak to the accuracy of the representation in this book (Axel is on the autism spectrum and Rooney has a chronic illness), I think Liese continues to do a really great job of introducing diverse and inclusive characters in romance, and that continues to be one of my favourite aspects of her stories. The author writes these character experiences with such care and consideration that you can tell it's an issue close to her heart. I can honestly say that I've never before read about a character with ulcerative colitis, and as I do with all of her books, I walked away from this learning a lot!

If there's one thing that I wanted more of, it'd be cameos from the Bergman family. Viggo, Oliver, Will and Ryder had a few and the whole family does make an appearance at the end, but I can never get enough of them so of course I'm greedy and wanted MORE! I still really enjoyed what we got though and, as he's wont to do, Viggo cracked me up and had me smiling so big it hurt! I can't wait for his and Oliver's stories because I know they're going to be amazing 😍

I was also a little surprised that there wasn't a scene disclosing Axel and Rooney's marital status to the family at the end, and that did feel a little weird and unfinished, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for me because at that point I was on cloud nine loving this couple. Overall, this was another winner for me author and I'm just aching to get my hands on Oliver's book now!

Just when you think Chloe Liese has written the best characters of all time, she introduces you to Axel Bergman and Rooney Sullivan. And then every other character you’ve ever read starts to pale in comparison. I’ve been so excited for these two since we got the kiss during charades at the end of Ever After Always and to finally have this book in my hand and to read it with my heart so full of emotions, it’s hard to put all of that down into a review. When a book can render you speechless, it’s definitely a good thing and I’m going to try my best to do justice to this book with my own words.

With You Forever is a love story, there’s no doubt about that, but it’s a much more powerful and poignant story about finding and loving yourself. Axel and Rooney are complicated people, they’ve got their issues with different things, but the one thing they can agree on is how they feel about each other. There’s no doubt in their minds that their feelings are intense and they don’t know what to do about it. And in falling in love with each other, they discover things about themselves and start to grow into the people that they’ve always wanted to be. And in true Chloe Liese fashion, she’s crafted this story with so much love, care and patience that you definitely forgive her for the delicious slow burn she puts you through as you read Axel and Rooney’s story.

Every moment of this book is pure perfection – from their awkward interactions to their slow bonding to the cooking lessons and Axel braiding Rooney’s hair to keep it out of her face to naming Harry the dog to adopting a kitten she found on the side of the road, to talking about her illness and his being on the spectrum to the kissing, the touching and of course the sex. There is nothing in this book that shouldn’t be there, every action and element sets the course for the next thing. I could not write this review without giving away the entire story, because there’s so much more to it than just being a marriage of convenience, friends to lovers, slow burn. To feel the kind of love that Rooney and Axel do, to fall in love so beautifully and unknowingly, to connect over the littlest things – that’s what romance novels are about. And that’s what Chloe Liese does so well in her stories.

I think that even if there were no other characters mentioned in this book at all, Rooney and Axel would have carried the story without a hitch. She’s sunshine personified, happy all the time except for when her IBD kicks in and makes her absolutely miserable. As someone with IBS, I understand the kind of pain she’s going through. While mine is not as intense as Rooney’s, to be shattered like that and to still be so positive all the time is absolutely stunning. Her family life isn’t the best and Rooney isn’t always at her best either, but she finds the silver lining in everything and she rides it forever. Everyone around her falls in love with Rooney, because she doesn’t try hard to make you feel that way – she just is the most incredible person you’ll ever meet. And then there’s Axel. Sweet, grumpy, grunting Axel. I think he might be my favourite Bergman, because Axel doesn’t always use his words to express his feelings, his actions speak volumes and he uses that to show how much he cares about everyone in his life – including his dog. Chloe puts her whole self into representation and with Axel, she shows you what it’s like to love while on the spectrum and being unable to show it the right way.

As individuals, we’ve already been so fascinated by them as we see them through the course of the books. But together? They are beyond the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. There is nothing that can truly describe how wonderful they are. I loved watching Axel lose his mind over Rooney when she’s completely unaware of what she’s doing. I loved watching Rooney discover all the little things about Axel that she can’t help but love. And good god, the slow burn. It will drive you insane and have you desperate to turn the page to the end, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. Because everything leading up to there is rife with sexual tension, lust and desire. Every scene they share is explosive and magnetic.

A Bergman Brothers book is incomplete without mentioning the Bergman family. I love this gang so much. This is the fourth book and every single time, we get to hang out with them in a large family setting and you fall madly in love with them. They have so much to offer, so much to share and just the entire world to give you. They love so fiercely – even when the person isn’t one of their own, see Willa, Frankie, Aiden and Rooney – and they cherish the little things and the big things. I loved seeing Axel with the man cubs, because Viggo and Oliver have me so intrigued! I am so in love with this family, I cannot wait for more.

If you haven’t read a Chloe Liese book yet, please start today, because they will change your life. And they will welcome you into the contemporary romance genre with open and wide arms in every single way.

I love the Bergman siblings so much and I was so excited to start With You Forever. Axel and Rooney were so worth the wait! Grumpy sunshine and marriage of convince are two of my favorite troupes so when I saw both of those in this book…. eek! I adored it.

Rooney is having some health struggles and needs a bit of a break from school and life. Her best friend offers the families house for her to get some R&R and when she gets there (it’s supposed to be all hers) Axel is there. Axel definitely does not want a visitor, as he’s doing some work on the place. Because of that he needs a wife. It’s a long story, but to dip into his inheritance from his uncle he has to be married.

Rooney is willing to help out Axel, she needs a place to stay and it makes sense for them both. Rooney and Axel both have this attraction to one another, but at first they fight it. Axel is quiet, a bit shy, and appears to be a grump, where as Rooney brightens up any room she’s in. In this case, opposites really do attract.

One of my favorite things about this book was how soft Axel was for Rooney. When they started to truly know each other you just saw a different side of both of them and it was beautiful. And I also have to shout out that Chloe does an amazing job with being inclusive in her writing. One of my closest friends has the same chronic illness as Rooney and I’ve heard some of the same stories/struggles from her.

Honestly, there was so much to love about this book. Axel and Rooney were an unexpectedly great couple and watching them fall for one another and open up to each other was such a joy. I wanted this to be a five star read so badly, but I was bummed that they literally NEVER told the Bergmans about the wedding/marriage. Like, I NEEDED that reaction. I waited the whole book for it, and the book just felt like it ended a bit abruptly and I was so sad we didn’t get it... aside from that, I loved this one to pieces and highly recommend checking it out!

Yeah! Neurodiversity, a new-to-me chronic illness, close proximity plot that I love, witty dialogue, sensitive observations about loving people differently than they see 'normally.' This book is just genius!

New Favorite Bergman Brother and Partner!

Axle and Rooney know they have desperately wanted each other from their first meeting but neither can imagine that the other feels the same…until a marriage of convenience is proposed!

What didn’t I love about this book?! The pining, the chemistry, the steam, the pets, the exploration of chronic illness and how it impacts all facets of life, Axel’s journey of self acceptance and asking for others’ acceptance, and of course the Bergman Brothers bat signal were all so beautifully done.

And that peek at Oliver’s story?! CanNOT wait!

Marriage of convenience and grumpy/sunshine couple? Yes, please! Chloe Liese wrote a masterpiece. This was heartwarming and filled with all the forced proximity shenanigans a reader could ask for. By far my favorite of her books so far!

What I Loved:
-Disability Rep: I love so much that Chloe’s books always have disability representation. In this one, Rooney had an IBD and Axel was autistic. As always, Chloe does such an amazing job bringing attention to these, especially Rooney’s IBD.

-The Tropes: Marriage of Convenience is way too underrated as tropes go, and this book proves that. There were so many classic shenanigans, but Axel and Rooney’s chemistry really shone in every one.

-The SPICE: This isn’t the spiciest book I’ve read, but it is one of the most genuine representations of a couple having a healthy outlook on sex, including what they need in order to find pleasure. It was such a breath of fresh air to read this.

What I Didn’t Love:
-Not a thing. This book is perfect.

I honestly can't even begin to tell you how much I fell in love with Axel and Rooney. This was slow burn at it's best!

Axel is this brooding, grumpy guy who seems to keep everyone slightly at arms length. Rooney is a girl who tends to put everyone but herself first. She's always "fine". What ensues when these two enter into a marriage of convenience is a lot of laughter, a lot of learning, and discovering what they both have to give to someone else.

This book was such a fabulous addition to the Bergman Brothers Series and I cannot wait for more!!

I have been dying to get Axel and Rooney’s story and I loved it!!! It has everything I love with sunshine/grumpy characters, forced proximity, fake marriage and adorable pets. I love how Chloe does a great job with writing characters that have real issues and how they deal with it. This book is full of loving tender moments that I just adored.

I absolutely love Chloe Liese’s writing. So much that I reread this entire series before starting this arc! With You Forever follows follows Axel and Rooney. I have loved them in previous books in this series and I am so happy that we finally got their story and to learn more about them. I loved seeing myself and loved ones represented in this novel. I loved the representation in this novel, as with the rest of this series. I can’t recommend this enough!

My love for the Bergman family, yes because that family is ever growing and is more than just the brothers, is ever growing and always broadcasted.
Rooney needs a place to relax after her life has taken a rather stressful turn. She reaches the family A Frame only to discover that Axel, the eldest Bergman brother, is having it renovated. He however needs funds for such a project, and to get access to his funds, he needs a marriage of convenience. Rooney has since long given over the notion of love, and thus begins their story.
Axel's character was so clear since the beginning, he doesn't show emotions the usual way, and I loved how the author showed that. He is fixing the house for his family, and that's when Rooney says that is his love language. I love Axel as he's a man of action. I felt his turmoil, his indecisions and his frustrations! They both like each other, but torture themselves with their insecurities. They both do things to make others happy, so they can never be selfish.
Chloe Liese takes medical issues and gives us something beautiful, normalises it. Rooney has always suffered alone, she didn't tell her best friend for fear of burdening her, and here she has Axel who not only hears her, but understands her problem. Axel himself has issues to deal with, being in the autism spectrum and feeling guilty for not being there for the family, but Rooney tries to pace herself to Axel. Their pairing was perfect.
We see the Bergman family, Willa and some new characters. Pets make a story all the more better with Harry and Skugga. This story was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I needed to know how things progress and yet I just didn't want it to finish.

Rooney just needs a place to relax, but when she visits a family friend's cabin in the woods and Axel is there, she doesn't think she'll be able to find peace. Axel is a self-proclaimed grouch and loner, but he needs to marry someone quick to get his inheritance to fix the family cabin. Rooney and Axel marry for convenience, but it's clear they're doomed to catch feelings for each other.

I had the best time reading this book. This is my first time reading Chloe Liese, but now I want to go back and read the whole Bergman Brothers series. The books works perfectly well as a stand alone, but it's clear there are shared characters and story lines throughout the series.

and here is another one that will just melt your heart. This one was a little close to home with the food issues- hopefully next time I have to stop on the side of the road I also find a kitten but many a puppy since I'm allergic. Rooney I saw so much of myself and why I always freak out or stress out at a new restaurant, going over to some else house, a bad day, or no bathroom. She is trying to get away from life and goes up to the family cabin of her bff but finds Axel and a mess.

Axel is grumpy man and an artist, he is also on the autism spectrum but you add in a dog and super cute friends kid that loves him...his attraction to Rooney for years, hiking, his cabin, ah man oh man you just love him so much. But needs to find a wife so he can fix over the cabin thanks to his crazy uncle's will.

This book gave me so many feels- happy, sad, laughing, and crying. I can not wait for more book of this series and well any more books from Liese as she is now officially one of my favorites. I swear each books keeps getting better and better! The slow burn and chemistry and then oh mannn the burn! we get a bit of the other family members and

Chloe Liese does it again! This book was so swoon! I adored Rooney and Axel, and was so ready for their story after seeing glimpses of them in past books.

Axel is like a grumpy cinnamon roll. He is definitely more of a loner, and can tend to be kind of grumpy. However, the way he opens up to Rooney and completely melts for her is the absolute sweetest thing!

Rooney is definitely the sunshine to Axel’s grump, and she brought out the best side of him. Rooney also has a chronic illness, that I appreciated getting to learn more about. Axel was so sweet with her and would take such good care of her.

This was the sweetest slow burn, marriage of convenience story. It is also the perfect fall time read! I loved getting to be back in the Bergman family world with these characters!

I am a fan of the Bergman Brothers even though I didn’t get to read the third book in the series. That said, I didn’t encounter any issue reading this one without reading the previous book. But I highly suggest that you read the series in order because it is easier to remember which brother is which.

With You Forever features Axel Bergman, the most serious among the Bergman brothers, and Rooney Sullivan, the warmest, brightest, most cheerful woman on earth (Axel’s earth 🙂 ) Obviously, Axel and Rooney are as different as night and day and that’s what makes their love story even more beautiful. So far, I think this is my favorite in the series, even though, I also rated the first book in the series 5 stars. Yep, spoiler alert: With You Forever is a five star read for me.

There are so many things to like in this book. First the main characters. I love the depiction of both Axel and Rooney. Axel, despite being too serious and prefers to spend his time alone and painting, is actually a very warm-hearted. He is the kindest and sweetest. His talk of the sunrise and sunsets just wooed me. Rooney’s a sunshine despite her condition and to be honest, I need that kind of positivity in my life.

I love their pets. Axel has a dog he said he didn’t really want. But oh God, the way he cares for Harry, the dog is just so heartwarming. And then comes the cat. I’m totally in love with Rooney and Axel. They’re perfect for each other. They fit. Their love story is the cliche’ secretly in love with each other concept and even more cliche’ is the thing that made them closer – marriage of convenience. But their romance is amazing. Sure sometimes I want to scream at them to just, you know, kiss again or just freaking sleep with each other. But given the characterization of Axel and Rooney, it’s more realistic that they hold back, especially in Axel’s side.

The representations. Axel is on autism spectrum and it’s no surprise how well the author handled this aspect so well. This is an #ownvoices story. But Rooney’s case is different because her Chronic Illness is something that isn’t always talked about. She has chronic IBD and I loe how Chloe Liese represented it in the story. It’s realistic and with respect.

There are lots of funny moments in this book. Rooney is funny and Axel is, well, despite everything, he is a Bergman and Bergman is a family of humor. Family goals, really.

I really don’t have any issue about this book. I can see myself rereading this one to lift my mood. I find Rooney and Axel are the kinds of characters that are hard to forget and I would love to meet again.

As always, the Bergman Brothers deliver. I love this series of books and how each represents such different people with such different real-life issues.

This time it was Axel, the oldest of the brothers, an artist and reclusive grump on the autism spectrum, who has also been secretly in love with Rooney for the past two years. It also follows Rooney, a long-time family friend with a heart of gold and chronic IBD, who is in much need of a break from life.

Along the way, we get all my favorite tropes. It was a wonderful forced proximity/ marriage of convenience/ grumpy-sunshine/ slow burn and I enjoyed every second of it!

My favorite part of this is how the characters came to understand each other. I think that crucial understanding is something that is often missed in romance novels. Not everyone expresses and accepts love in the same way and understanding what makes the other person feel cherishes is so important.

Another thing I loved is how family had such an impact on the story. As with all the books in the series, the Bergman clan is always around to lend a hand and provide support to all its members.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one and cannot wait to see the last three Bergmans have in store!

This book made me feel ALL THE FEELINGS. I adored every word. The sweet build to the relationship between Axel and Rooney made my heart ache. I love how they were both convinced they needed to protect the other.

This is the part of the review where I just scream about how much I freaking love Axel. Ahhhh Axel trying to fix the house for his family. AHHHHHH Axel and that tent. 😂AHHHHH Axel with Harry and Skugga. Axel with Skyler. (More screaming) Axel and his PAINTING. Omg. He makes me swoon with his gruff exterior and his sweet fragile heart. How does Chloe Liese keep creating these fabulous male leads that are each so unique? She’s a genius. I’m definitely a member of the Bergman Brothers fan club.

Rooney is also such a powerhouse character. I loved reading about a woman managing a chronic illness. Her IBD was handled so sensitively and you see the raw hard times. All people with chronic pain can relate to Rooney’s struggles to try to seem okay all the time. Liese does a great job of illustrating how exhausting this can be with combined with the illness itself. She’s a warrior.
