Book starts with third person writing which not a fan of but the story was captivating .
Agent zalla is quite unique character and find herself to work alone .I. as the story progresses the plot get more twisty and dark. Overall, it's written well by the author ! A good 3.5⭐️⭐️⭐️ For me .

Two daughters of an FBI informant are taken and Seattle FBI agent Zalla Bennbett is assigned the case. Her only help is a small-town sheriff deputy of Almeda and his boss who doesn’t care. Zalla’s own career is under threat due to her brief affair with her boss, who doesn’t want her to succeed. The hunt begins with few clues and suspects, the mob links and a local sex offender the only leads. The Unknown Man by Natalie Hanson is the first in a new series with a very different hero. A warning for potential readers, there are very descriptive physical persecution passages and very dark underlying subject matter to confront. It makes for an interesting read but not for those who dislike dark and unsettling stories that may trigger adverse reactions. Whilst a very dark book with graphic violence, it was otherwise enjoyable and so a three-and-a-half-star rating. With thanks to Independently Published and the author for an uncorrected proof copy for review purposes.
