A super fun and interactive book! My 3 year old daughter loved it and laughed so hard. Some of the buttons were so fun and crazy that it got her a little wound up before bed. Probably best as a daytime book from now on. Also, beware you may be asked to read it over and over! It’s just that good! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Fun interactive book

This is a fun interactive book about colors and actions. My 2-year-old daughter loved naming the colors and following the directions to see what would happen when she pushed each button. She happily laughed, sang, and hugged along with the book.

Based on my daughter’s enjoyment and wish to read the book multiple times, I am giving this book 4 stars.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great bedtime story for toddlers. It’s interactive and fun while still being short and sweet. It’s also a great way to teach colors.

This book was an absolutely adorable read that will always have guaranteed children’s interaction when read. I especially love how it ends with pressing the white button, which shows sleep mode at it’s finest.

Kids looking for more interactive stories will find a lot to enjoy here.

For Libraries: If your interactive books are flying off the shelves, this is a good addition.

This fun, interactive book for kids takes us through colors, inviting kids to identify the different colors and associate actions with them. Sure to have kids jumping up and down, hugging, tickling, and more!

Such a fun kids book. Love how each button has a different reaction and how the animals interact with them. Perfect book for a toddler story time, kids will love acting out the actions and telling the animals not to press that button. I can't wait to share this book with my own daughter.

Thank you so much for the advance copy!

The Button Book is an interactive story that invites readers to predict what will happen when the characters (all cute animals) press mysterious buttons.

In addition to being fun and engaging, I think The Button Book can also help develop some early literacy skills. There's shape recognition and colors of course, and each button is associated with an action, like singing, hugging, etc which gives the opportunity to follow written directions. The the second time we encounter each colored button, it's in reverse order, which I think is a fun exercise for growing brains,

The book offers opportunities for imagination (What do YOU think the button will do?), interaction, (everybody clap!), and literacy skill development . I think this would be very fun in a toddler time or preschool storytime.

Thank you to Tundra Books and Netgalley for the digital review copy in exchange for review.

What happens if you push the button? In this simple bedtime book, the animals find buttons everywhere, and each button does something different. From beeping to hugs all the way to the bedtime button, this cozy action book is a fun way to build up some interaction before bedtime. It reinforces the concepts of shape and color while still maintaining its humorous narration, making it a perfect choice for preschool children, but it's silly enough to be a favorite for young readers as well.

Definitely a great book to describe colors and shapes while allowing children to experience the silliness.

This book is fun! It teaches kids about colors using colored buttons and their corresponding actions. It would even make a great book for bedtime and nap time with the super sneaky white button.

This book also uses our natural curiosity and asks "what does this button do?" Well the only way to find out is to press it!

I really liked this book, I would recommend it for any young children, the buttons could teach them about colours, the story line is captivating, and the art work is adorable. You could easily read the book, and act out the different buttons as a game with a child- clap, sing, bounce, hug, tickle, sing, sleep, and make Thbbpppt sounds, how fun.

And yes, it's true, children's book creators are unsung geniuses.

The button book is the story of a group of friends who find buttons of different colors to press. The first button is red, and makes a beeping sound. The next is orange and is the clapping button. The pink and purple buttons were my daughter’s favorite, as they were hugging and tickling respectively. The last button is white, and turns off all the lights. The animals then go to sleep.

My three year old review buddy thought this book was fantastic! She spent the rest of the day yelling “Pink button! Green button!” and mimicking the actions of each. (Of course, the white button was not included in her demands.)

However, I found the structure of the book a little confusing. It seems meant for bedtime, so why have an exciting button (beeping, again) right before sleeping? I would’ve rather had buttons descend into sleepiness instead of ramping up, calming down, ramping up, then sleep.

Mixed review here. My daughter loved it but I’m just not too sure about the structure.

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House CA for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What a sweet little book! This was a wonderful book for interaction my daughter loved clapping at the yellow button and hugging at the pink. Her favorite was the green button but I won’t give that one away read it for yourself. Any book that ends with her shouting “Read it again!” Gets a gold star from me.

The Button Book is a story in which animals press colored buttons and then see what happens! Kids will learn activity words, work on colors, and this also makes a great bedtime story.

This book is such a cute read aloud! Our family enjoyed reading together and practicing all of the different actions. The purple button (tickling) was our favorite and had our kids laughing and eager to see what came next. This one is a great book for any young kids!
