A delightfully illustrated tale with side-splitting humor will bring on the belly laughs as children are taken on a rollicking adventure with Crocodile when he goes on the hunt for food.

Crocodile sets out to find something to eat but finds his plans thwarted at every turn. Getting ever more hungry, he is also getting more and more frustrated. This one will make kids giggle. They will understand the emotions that Crocodile is feeling and relate to him. It is great to use books to teach about social emotional learning topics such as emotions. Children will relate to his breakdown and crying, but it is a valuable lesson that sometimes all we need to fix a bad mood is a snack. especially some pizza.

The only complaint I had was the over simplified text, which makes it difficult to use in a classroom setting because the sentences are not proper English to show kids. It is easy for emergent readers but also could potentially teach them that verbs aren't needed in sentences. I see the purpose behind it, trying to be silly, but it sounded more caveman than cute. There was repetition of words which makes it easier for children to read sight words they recognize. The art was adorable and could even be used as just a picture book for babies to enjoy without knowing the words.

This was a book of lots of laughs and silly moments, but also some valuable life lessons. A great read for parents and teachers.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Little crocodile was very hungry, and looking for food to eat. Everyone he goes, people are running away from him screaming. He doesn't want to eat lettuce, or stuff that's hard to open or will get stuck in his teeth. What should he do? Should he eat the pretty pink flamingos he encounters? .............

Very cute drawing and story.

Loved this book, Bold, bright illustrations are great for kids but especially awesome for Storytimes. The crocodile's internal monologue is a great opportunity for a silly voice while reading out loud. The repetition (people screaming) is funny and another opportunity for engagement with kids. The ending is surprising and will give everyone a good laugh.

Crocodile also has a lot of big feelings - hungry, angry, sad - that are great conversation starters with kids.

Great story about a hungry crocodile who can't find any food to eat although he is seemingly surrounded by places to eat (including a farmer's market and grocery store). What will Crocodile do next? This easy to understand story is fun and is perfect for preschool storytimes!

**Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review**

Crocodile hungry. Thwarted at several opportunities to remedy this, Crocodile approaches hangry and melts down. This is so cute, and so funny! The illustrations are detailed, lively, and full of humor. This is going to be such a hit at circle time for Pre-K!

For some reason, Crocodile leaves verbs out of some of his sentences (e.g. "Crocodile not see"). I couldn't figure out a purpose for this--it doesn't seem to be a vernacular and he doesn't do it all the time. It doesn't impede understanding of the text, but Crocodile randomly sounds like Tonto.

This will be a reliable favorite for Pre-K and early elementary kids and would be a great addition to school, classroom, and community libraries!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Crocodiles visiting a farmers market, super market on the search for something that will satisfy his hunger. I love the emotional side, and how he creates a lake of crocodile tears and then decides to order pizza. Very cute story, and I could see an adult getting very engaged reading this to little ones. I think 3-5 would be the best age groups for this title.

This title was adorable. The text is simple and explains the emotions of hunger well enough that a toddler or preschool aged child can relate. While the humor may not be as easily understandable, it is easy to explain to the younger ones. This is a title I will definitely be asking to have added to our collection.

Such a cute book! Crocodile is hungry but can't figure out what to eat. I feel that; most nights I do the same thing as Crocodile when I open my refrigerator. I love the crocodile tears, that made me giggle.

The book was simple, easy to understand, and fun to read. The ending is great.

My review of this book might be slightly biased because this is EXACTLY the type of picture book I would write myself. I love the simple text. I love the easy to follow storyline. I LOVE the art. The twist at the end is hilarious and made me giggle. Preschoolers will love this title and I can't wait to get a copy for my library so I can use it in story time.
