I really enjoyed how the plot of the first two graphic novels in the series comes together in the third book. I need the fourth ASAP! Also we love some character growth and learning to accept who you are.

This is such a cool book. The artwork is awesome and I loved seeing Beast Boy and Raven meet. This is a great start to the Teen Titans coming together and cool story on it's own. I appreciated getting to see Beast Boy and Raven having some more relaxed normal teenager time together as well as seeing them team up and use their powers together. It was a great way to build their trust and relationship. They are great characters and I thought all around the characters in the book where well written. All around a great book and I am really looking forward to more books.

I’m so thankful to have received this advanced copy. I have previously received the Beast Boy graphic novel and loved it! I am equally obsessed with this one! The story was really good and everything flowed really nicely. I binged it all in one night and am really looking forward to the next one. It was nice to see that he faces we all know end love as well as some new ones as well as a glimpse as to where the series will go next! I’m very excited to see what The Kami and Gabriel have in store for us next!

I love this series because I love Teen Titans but each volume is too damn short.
This volume centers around one of my favorite ships: Raven and Beast Boy. I was really excited for this one because I wanted too see how Kami and Gabriel wrote their relationship, first meeting and dynamic. Even though I absolutely love the animated cartoon and think it's superior, I'm not one of those people who feels like an adaptation of something needs to be exactly the same which is a good thing because I can already tell that this graphic novel series will be different from the show.
As always, I love the art style and the way Gabriel depicts each of the characters and I love how through each volume we are getting to know the characters a little bit more and uncovering more about side characters as well. I think my one complaint (besides how short each volume is) is that I felt Raven and Beast Boy's relationship was a bit rushed. Don't get me wrong, I was all for them having feelings for each other but it felt a little sudden and I think it could've used more of a build up.
Other than that I really enjoyed this volume and I'm so excited to read the next one, especially since I have a feeling my girl Starfire will be next!

I received a copy of this story as an e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Any and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
In the third installment of graphic novels with a new twist on the Teen Titans heroes, Gar and Raven are stuck in Tennessee, each with the goal to discover more about themselves and their powers. But then they run into each other, and maybe they'll come out of this with more than just information about their powers.
I've been a fan of the Teen Titans since I was a kid. I watched the OG show whenever I would go to my grandparents' houses. Being able to see my childhood twisted and morphed into a more modern setting really helps me see the characters in a new, mature light. I really like the additions of the characters new and old to the series as well.
I also loved the romance between Gar and Raven, but at times felt it was a bit too rushed. Usually in the show, Raven and Gar butt heads pretty often, but they still have that softness for each other. They still have that in the beginning, but it doesn't linger as much as I wish it would. It also felt rushed at times, which I get this is for a younger audience and is a graphic novel, but I still wish we got another installment before they really start to build up that romantic tension.
The plot was really good in that it wraps in most of the other Teen Titans members while also still connecting it to an overarching plot about Slade and his attempt to capture these superpowered teens.
Finally, I'm still a huge fan of the art style and design of the characters. It keeps to their original roots but with a modern twist, which aids in helping a younger and newer audience relate to the characters.
Regardless, I'm still super pumped for the rest of the series and cannot wait to see where Kami Garcia takes this. The Teen Titans series is a great introduction graphic novel series and superhero story that you can finish in one sitting.

This graphic novel was amazing! The illustrations were beautiful and flowed seamlessly from one scene to the next! The storyline was so enjoyable and action packed. This story was a great way to continue learning about these characters and watching them grown! All in all, I loved it!
Thank you so much to NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this 5/5 graphic novel!

I have been waiting for this book in the series!! I am so, so excited to see Beast Boy and Raven interact. As a 21-year-old reading, a book meant for 13-17-year-olds, I do have to warn my fellow older readers to recognize that the plot is not as nuanced as some other novels, but that this is a perfect story for younger readers.
THE ART. Every Teen Titans graphic novel so far has been stunning and this one is no exception. From the colors to the details, I adore everything about it. This was a quick read for me, but I read it over because the art is just so stunning it would be a waste not to take it all in!
THE PLOT. With the last two more focused on the individual backgrounds of Beast Boy and Raven, I felt like the plot really speeds up in this one. Not only do we get to see how Beast Boy and Raven interact and grow, but we also see them against the world. There are also some new fun characters introduced and with so much going on I can't wait to see what's in store in future stories!

I'm such a big fan of the YA comics, and I previously loved both Raven's individual story and Beast Boy's story.
In this story, the two young Titans are pushed into a change encounter while they are both awaiting Slade. The whimsical fun of young love is on full display, but have no fear, there is also action and some great "twists" brought into the story with the introduction of a few new characters.
Overall, this is a great read for fans both new and old.

Everyone who knows me knows I am a Marvel diehard, but I have always had a soft spot for Batman and the teen titans, and in this volume, the two meet as Bruce Wayne's son makes an appearance to help bust out Beast Boy and Raven from captivity. Beautiful art and character design as always!

I really loved the first two books but this one fell short for me. I still really liked the characters but the storyline felt like a lot really fast and some things just felt really out of the blue. Characters were introduced that I had no idea who they were or who the people in their backstories were. I don't know if it was just because it's been so long since I read the others and when I read this one or what but I just didn't vibe with this one like I did the other two.

Having read both Raven and Beast Boy I was wondering how these two would meet and I was not disappointed! I really enjoyed the story and it went the way I expected but with a twist of Damien Wayne showing up.
Gabriel Picolo is one of my favorite artists right now and he does an amazing job with bringing these characters to life.
I'm really hoping to see more Teen Titans by these two!

I started to follow this story with our favorite green and demon infested superhero teen with Gabriel Picolo's instagram, And from there I went on to read Raven and Beast Boy. Now with the upcoming release of Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven I am just about on the edge of my seat for what is coming next. From the beautiful art style to the page-turning plot line, Beast Boy Loves Raven is my new everything 4/5 stars.

I love everything about this series. Normally I'm not all that impressed by Beast Boy but our green animal friend had my heart as he and Raven tried to figure out why Slade has reached out to both of them. I'm waiting with bated breath for the next installment of this series!

Loooove this! Damien is one of my favorite Titans. I loved seeing the relationships blossom. Can’t wait to see where the Teen Titans go next.

I grew up loving teen titans, and I have really enjoyed this modernized version of Beast Boy and Raven. In the third volume, Raven and Beast Boy's paths are crossing after they both receive letters from Slade that say he will answer all of their questions about their powers. The setting is in Nashville, which is fun for me as a resident of Tennessee. I really like the modern story and art style for it more than I liked the comic versions from the 80s. This series is great for people who love comics or already loved DC comics/ the teen titans cartoon network show. I would love if these two creators did something like this for the other TT members too.
Thank you to netgalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Kami Garcia is back with another fantastic reimagining of the Teen Titans stories. Raven and Beast Boy's coming together in this story was really fun to read, and I was excited to see how the two previous comics would merge together. Garcia didn't disappoint with this one! The art style remains consistent and enjoyable from the previous graphic novels, and I am really grateful I got my hands on this one early. If you enjoyed the first two comics, you'll really want to read this one. The way we've ended things makes me incredibly excited for the next stories in this tale, as well.

3/5
In this comic, Gar and Raven meet up with a mysterious man who claims he can help them develop their powers. As they wait for him to arrive, they explore the city and get to know each other.
I enjoyed the sunshine and grumpy trope that Gar and Raven had in this graphic novel. They are undoubtedly a perfect match. Additionally, I loved Max and Damien and hope to see more of their stories in the future. It was fun to see a superhero comic set in Nashville as well.
Nevertheless, I wish this story had been told in greater detail. I didn't get enough time to see Gar and Raven develop feelings or explore their powers because it was too fast-paced. The next graphic novel will hopefully provide more details and depth about their relationship.

This comic follows Gar and Raven after their separate graphic novel stories by the same authors as they head to Nashville to meet up with a mysterious man who claims he can help develop their powers. While they wait for him to show up, they explore the city and get to know each other.
I enjoyed the sunshine and grumpy trope of Gar and Raven. They are obliviously a great match. I also loved Max and Damien and hope we see more of their stories in the future. Nashville was a unique setting for a superhero comic too, which was a fun change.
However, I would’ve liked to see more from this story. It was very fast-paced and didn’t give enough time to really see Gar and Raven develop feelings for each other or explore their powers. Hopefully the next graphic novel will have more details and depth about their relationship.

BB and Raven make a really cute couple in this comic cover, blending the two key colors from their solo comics. It’s the kind of cover that makes me imagine them as YouTube co-stars.
This was primarily a romance between these two troubled teens, and their trauma paints the relationship. As usual in their stories, they both have feelings for each other, but BB is more vocal and works really hard to make Raven feel safe with him. While all this is going on, Slade (AKA Deathstroke) tries to manipulate the teens into the arms of a research lab looking to turn them into new defense technology. Fortunately, they aren’t alone, and Raven’s best friend Max comes to their aid alongside… Damian Wayne?
Yeah, Damian Wayne is in this story for some reason. He has a different character design than usual, swapping out his Robin logo for a “D” that looks strikingly similar. He is pictured as darker skinned, which is in keeping with much of the more recent comics. Traditionally, Damian has been portrayed as pale caucasian like his father, but newer comics give him a more middle-eastern complexion, and I feel this is appropriate. His grandfather is Ra’s Al-Ghoul, an Arabic name. (Though Ra’s is of different ethnicities based off the version of the comics you read.)
Damian’s age here alongside the nacent Titans team puts it squarely outside the mainstream continuity, and I am just fine with that. If you are going to try and bring these characters into a new era for new readers, you kinda need an isolated continuity free of all the confusion of DC’s multimillion crisis events.
Consider if you like / Reminds me of:
If you like the old Teen Titans cartoons, as well as less fantastic, slice of life comics, you might enjoy this. There is very little action, and a lot more character development.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Received from Netgalley.

The art in this book is amazing, all the details shown and the visuals of Gar and his DNA adapting were such a cool way to show the process. I enjoyed the story of Raven and Gar getting to know each other and the introduction of some new faces. I am excited to see what the next book in the series will be!
