I've been following this series since the first book came out, Teen Titans: Raven, and I've been more and more underwhelmed with each book. This has been extremely disappointing, I've been a fan of the artist behind these books, Gabriel Picolo, since I was a preteen and I've been following him for years. Also my own history with these characters as a fan of the original 2000s Teen Titans tv show adds to my inability to get past these stories that I have not enjoyed. I've really wanted to love them but I just have not and this has not changed my mind, sadly.

The art style, as always, is incredible; there's a color theme that goes across the novel that really helps define the characters. Although, the art was never what I had a problem with regarding this
series. The story was always lacking, there was always insta-love to a degree that I could not ignore and this book is no different. Another thing to comment on is the pacing felt really weird and stilted, it lacked transitions from scene to scene which was kind of awkward to read. Also at this point we have two books with both Raven and Beast Boy and the characters still don't feel close to being fully realized which is an issue for me.

I would say if you're looking to see some amazing artwork but don't care as much about the story check this out, but if you're invested in these characters I would skip this.

Kami Garcia and gabriel picolo hit it out of the park every time. I loved the storyline in this, the illustrations were absolutely perfect and I cannot wait for the next installment!

I really love Kami Garcia's Teen Titan series so far. Beast Boy Loves Raven is no exception. After going to Nashville Raven and Beast can't see to stop running into each other. I loved watching Beast Boy swoon over Raven. This story was exciting, sweet and tons of fun! I can't wait to see what happens next.

This series is such a delight. This one is my fave so far, but honestly they've all been stellar. Between the super cute writing and the truly stunning artwork... I'm fully a fan.

In this one Beast Boy and Raven finally meet up and it's everything I've wanted since watching the Teen Titans as a kid. Add to that some new Titans characters and... it's awesome.

I adored this story. I usually am not a “graphic novel” fan but after reading Breast Boy’s Original novel through Netgalley not too long ago I was hooked.

This one did not disappoint. I love seeing the characters try to keep themselves looking and acting normal while everything around them descend into chaos. While they try to deal with all of the changes going on within themselves they are also fighting and going through normal teen drama. It is both comical and endearing.

The artwork is superb.. some of the best I have seen. So throw in a fun interesting story and you have the perfect graphic novel storm.

Highly highly recommend!

Omg, I don’t know how to feel about this graphic novel. It was written beautifully, and the budding romances between characters was incredible. I was a little miffed because a certain character showed up, and I was hoping that role would be filled by a different character, but I did like how they were written. Plus a cameo by another character made me extremely happy. I can’t wait to see who the next one is going to be focused on and I need it immediately, especially after how it ended!

Before I get to the review, a huge thank you to both NetGalley and the publishers over at. D.C. Entertainment for giving me early access to this title in exchange for an honest review. As you guys might know, I recently read the first two books in this graphic novel series and really enjoyed them. The first follows Raven, the second follows Garfield, and this third volume follows them both as they find their way to Nashville and attempt to meet up with Slade who has promised he has answers to all their questions. This third book comes out on September 28th and is available for pre-order now.

I had a lot of fun reading this one. I found that reading it electronically was a little more muddied than when I read the first two physically so I’ll definitely have to reread it when my pre-order comes in later this month. It was fun to see how they both tried to hide their powers before they found out about the others. And we got to meet a new character which I wasn’t expecting. He was fun and I hope we get his backstory in another graphic novel soon. I enjoyed seeing how they dealt with what was thrown at them and how it helped them come together. Especially after the way their first meeting went sideways.

I think the chief complaint I had is the same one I have with all shorter form content: there just wasn’t enough. I always want more depth so I’m not surprised that’s my problem here. Especially considering they develop a relationship over the course of a graphic novel. I had hoped for a few more romantic moments here to make it more believable. But I still really like the two of them together.

Most people know I’m not a huge fan of comics and superheroes. However, the Teen Titans is an exception. To start off I would like to state that I haven’t read the other books yet.

I still recall when I first discovered Picolo’s artwork, I was mind blown. I didn’t know he contributed to an actual series till I saw the Raven book in stores. So you can guess how excited I was to get an ARC of this book.

To start off, I was a bit disappointed in the pacing, I felt that everything was rushed. As mentioned earlier, I’m not a huge fan of comics so I was unsure this if this was common. Nevertheless, the illustrations were amazing. It was a nice and fast read. While it didn’t live up to my expectations I would still recommend this to Teen Titan fans.

Thank you DC Entertainment and NetGalley for this ARC.

I can never praise Picolo's art enough. I've been a fan of his work for eons and watching him continue to work with the Teen Titans in an official capacity is so fantastic!

The weak link historically with this graphic novel series has been the pacing and I'm so happy to see that this one shows a vast improvement in that department! The first almost third of the story still suffers from being incredibly jumpy, something that has disrupted my reading of previous installments. However, once the story got rolling, even while bouncing between two separate groups of characters, it flowed so much more naturally! I'm really happy to see this progression, because it encourages me to keep reading these books.

While this is not the Beast Boy and Raven from the TEEN TITANS cartoon or comic realm, they become even more endearing for who they are in this rendition. I also was not prepared for the inclusion of another major character, nor having Raven's foster sister, Max, become a major player. This surprise was an absolute delight!

Overall, by far my favorite in the TEEN TITANS graphic novel series for Young Adults, and I'm definitely eager for the upcoming installments. And really, after what was done in this book, there has to be future installments coming down the pipeline!!

Thank you DC Entertainment and NetGalley for this advanced copy for review.

This book was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I own the first two books in the series and love them. This book was nothing short of perfect and I cannot wait for the next one. I loved the sneak peek at StarFire being next in the series, hopefully. Beast boy and raven have the best chemistry! Also max is amazing.

I got to admit that I've never been a fan of Kami Garcia but I've always been a huge fan of Teen Titans and Picolo, so storywise it feels a bit lacking but the illustration is way better than I expected.

Stories collide in this latest Teen Titans graphic novel. Raven and Garfield finally cross paths after they both have received notes from Slade to meet him in Nashville. As Raven and Garfield wait, they keep bumping into one another and soon they form a friendship. Neither want to tell the other why they are Nashville or the fact that they have powers but it will only be a matter a time until all is revealed. Meanwhile, Raven's foster sister was following her to protect her and it turns out someone else received a message from Slade. But let's just say he (don't want to spoil who, but trust me you'll love it if you are fan of some great young DC characters!) is a little more cautious than others. I really liked this one!! Gar and Raven are great characters and it was nice to see them start to trust again. Also that surprise character is a favorite of mine, so the fact that he has joined the storyline is super exciting. And with the cliffhanger, it looks like we are going to see more future Teen Titans making an appearance.

Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo did it again! Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven picks up where both Raven and Beast Boy left off, bringing the two characters together in a graphic novel sure to delight any DC fan. Fans of the comics and the cartoon will rejoice at this accurate depiction of the dynamic between Raven and Beast Boy. With special appearances by other DC characters, Beast Boy Loves Raven will excite fans for future installments in the series. The comedy, romance, and drama throughout the novel will be sure to keep fans flipping pages all the way to the end! I highly recommend this graphic novel to both fans of the series and fans of the characters. It will not disappoint!

I've been a fan of Gabriel Picolo's Teen Titans art for years and when I saw this on NetGalley I requested it immediately. Then when I saw that I was approved to read it I was delighted.

This was such a fun read. The art is wonderful, the story was entertaining and the characters are depicted well. Raven and Beast Boy are my favorite Teen Titans characters and I loved how they were portrayed in this. I loved seeing Beast Boy immediately fall head over heels for Raven, it was adorable.

I cannot wait to buy a physical copy when this is released. And I'm excited to see how the story continues. I highly recommend this to any fans of Teen Titans or DC Comics in general.
