It was a disappointment read
After a couple of chapters, I DNF it because it did not interest me at all and I could predict what would happen from the start. There is nothing new about it.

I really liked this book, it’s a fun and humorous romance. Rachel Vinson is a paid bridesmaid who promises absolute discretion. Brides hire her when the don’t have close friends, or want a professional managing the wedding secretly. Her latest bride is Sadie, an influencer who has various sponsors paying for her tropical destination wedding.

When Rachel meets the best man, Camden, there’s instant chemistry between them, but Rachel has a rule that she never dates anyone from a wedding. Camden is the CEO of a tech company that’s about to go public, and he thinks Rachel is an industrial spy. He knows she’s hiding something, but Rachel can’t break her NDA to tell him the truth.

As the wedding festivities progress, they get closer and closer as they try to rein in Sadie’s alcoholic mother and deal with other issues that come up. They both feel that this could be something special but can’t get past their issues.

I loved Camden, he’s a sweetheart and so understanding. The story was well told with lots of funny behind-the-scenes wedding moments. I loved the epilogue! 4 stars.

I highly recommend this book, 4 stars. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This was such a cute, fun and funny rom-com! If you want to laugh this is the book for you!

I love the idea of Rachel's company (she has a business where she rents out women as bridesmaids).

This book focuses mostly on one particular wedding (Sadie and Dan's big day). The story is set in Hawaii and I loved everything about Rachel, her co-worker and friend Krista and the bride (Sadie).

The romance was really good too!

The Paid Bridesmaid was an engaging read. I was happy that it was easy to get behind Sadie and Dan’s relationship and how much they loved each other. I do think that Rachel and Camden’s relationship blossomed quickly and I wanted a little more development behind the attraction. It was a bit predictable at times but I loved the idea of paid bridesmaids and how much Rachel cared

Y'all, this book is so cute! It drug a little in the middle, but the story and characters were great. Just when you're thinking king what else could go wrong, something did of course. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a cross between The Secret Bridesmaid and The Unhoneymooners, so if you liked those definitely pick this up.

If you’re looking for a book that reads like a 2003 romcom starring Jennifer Lopez, look no further.
This was an easy breezy palette cleanser of a book, perfect for a beach read.

This was an interesting take on being a bridesmaid at a wedding, except in this case our main character gets paid to be one. The story reminded me a lot of the movie The Wedding Planner where the main character where past experiences chose her career for her.

Naturally our main female and male characters are drawn to each other, but I will say that the ending shocked me. It seemed very out there.

Overall this is a fast, cute read.

Who could have even imagined that Rachel would make a career out of being a paid bridesmaid but that's what she's done. Ever bride needs someone like her- to take care of details and remain somewhat detached. Now she's in Hawaii for the wedding of Sadie, an influencer and Dan, a tech magnate. And then she meets Camden. Dan's best friend, and all bets are off. This is a zippy rom-com with good characters and some LOL moments. If it's a bit hazy on details at times, that's ok because the focus is on fun,. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. One to make you smile,

4.5 stars rounded up.

If it's cold and snowy where you are this is the perfect book to whisk you away as it takes place in Hawaii. Rachel is the maid of honor and has a busy week of activities ahead of her, and no time for the handsome and flirty best man, Camden Lewis. Camden is a little suspicious of the beautiful maid of honor--he can sense that she's hiding something. Could she be a corporate spy out to sabotage his company?

This was a fun read. I could feel the sparks between Rachel and Camden come through my Kindle, but Rachel's need to control everything wouldn't allow her to act on her attraction to Camden for the longest time. I kept telling her to throw her stupid rule out the window, but she wouldn't listen to me (book characters would be so much better off if they'd just do what I tell them to do).

There's a secret identity vibe to this story because Rachel can't let others know she's a paid bridesmaid. Yes, that's a real thing. There were so many swoony moments and I loved all the witty banter. It made me laugh quite a few times while reading and I highlighted quite a few of my favorite passages. I really liked Rachel's best friend and partner in her business and would love to read more about her.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher Montlake via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

A perfect mix of fun, funny, and Sweet!
From the start, you can tell this is going to be a romp, as Rachel refrains from injuring herself with a massive eye-roll at first meeting Camden. Ms. Wilson takes a look at weddings from the perspective of a bridesmaid-for-hire who's job is to help the bride have the wedding of her dreams. As I have loved everything I've read by Sariah Wilson, this book met my high expectations. With a blend of chaos, snark, and heart, adding heart-stopping chemistry with enough heat to see the attraction between the main characters so I could see the relationship grow between them. Rachel and Camden are flawed humans who care about the people in their circles, and I quickly came to care, as well. Still enjoyed the craziness of weddings in general and Rachel's way of dealing with it. Love this book, it's going on my permanent Kindle shelf.

(a few spoilers ahead ... )

Are paid bridesmaids really a thing? I'm dying to know! It makes so much sense, especially for complicated, expensive, modern, Instagram-ready weddings like Sadie's in the book. This book was totally clean but Sariah is so great at creating that tension and desire between the two main characters that I need to see in a romance. They had some amazing kissing scenes, and I esp. loved the final scene in Rachel's office with all her employees were looking on. 😍

(SPOILER!) I loved the epilogue!! SO happy to see a quick marriage and quick (unplanned, but very much wanted) pregnancy. I just love that - when you know, you KNOW! No sense waiting. 💗

There were a lot of funny lines too, which is another thing Sariah is great at writing. The running gag about Camden's flip phone from the olden days cracked me up.

I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you so much!

🔥 🔥 Sariah Wilson is at is again with another amazing book you will want to read start to finish in one go. The Paid Bridesmaid tugs all the light hearted heart strings and keeps you smiling the whole way through 10/10!

I love Sariah's books. They are well-written, smut-free yet still passionate and romantic, and have interesting plot lines. Sariah is the queen of clean chemistry. I didn't know a paid bridesmaid was a thing. Is it? Well, it should be! Sometimes the hurdle in romantic books feels overwrought or contrived...like you just want to smack people and tell them to communicate. In this, it's legitimate and even has legal ramifications. You feel their affection and chemistry, yet feel badly with the heroine of why the attraction feels hopeless and can't go anywhere. If anything, I would have just liked more! Maybe a bit more of Hawaii too? More Hawaii is always a good idea... ;

I was intrigued by the premise of a bridesmaid for hire and love Sariah Wilson's writing, so this combo is magic! The setting of a destination wedding in Hawaii was so fun, it fit the story well. I loved the sly mentions of Chase Covington and Noah Douglas from previous books, although this book definitely stands on it's own.

This was definitely a fun read, with themes of honesty, and a real look at alcoholism and the effects that can have on the alcoholic and those around them. I enjoyed this book a lot and look forward to rereading it. Sariah Wilson's writing was witty and engaging (as I've come to expect). I'm definitely going to be rereading this one!

The epilogue was adorable! This was a sweet and clean read, I'd rate it PG for kissing and alcoholism.

A sweet romance that sizzles! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. A lovely escape to Hawaii for a romance with substance. I can't recommend Sariah Wilson highly enough. Well rounded characters inhabiting an interesting world and a delicious romance at the centre of it all. What more can you want? Oh that's right - humour. It has that too.

This book!!! I received an ARC but it didn’t influence my opinion. The best thing that Sariah does in her books is the buildup!!! She does an amazing job at working the characters up until you almost can’t wait for them to come together. All the feels in this book!!! Camden is suspicious and gallant and everything a guy should be. Rachel tries to be careful but her heart is gone once her and Camden meet. I love all of Sariah’s books and this is no exception. She writes beautiful characters and unique plots and she continues to be one of my favorites! Love this book!

The Paid Bridesmaid is another winner from Sariah Wilson. She managed to, yet again, craft another completely unique and charming story that will make your heart sigh. Sariah writes the best and swooniest heroes and Camden is no exception. He truly is a dream of a guy. I love the banter, wit, humor and flirting between Rachel and Camden. Their story, friendship and journey was so fun to read and I basically just wanted the story to keep going. I loved the epilogue and hope to see this couple again in the writing universe of Sariah. I definitely recommend this novel but read it when you have time, you're not going to want to put it down.

I’ve been waiting for this new release and it didn’t disappoint. The story line was so cute and the characters were very likeable and the story had a nice flow that had me reading late into the night. This book would be a good read on vacation or if you need a place to get away.
