Maybe We Should is book two of the Silver Harbor series of contemporary romances.
This is the story of Cait and Brant. Cait works at Wicked Ink, as a tattooist and she recently discovered that she had two sisters; a family that she had always dreamed of. Now she is part owner of a bistro and a house on Silver Island. Cait’s new sister Abby has fallen in love and Cait is envious; she wants a love like that, but who would want her with the emotional scars that she carries?
Brant knew Cait was ‘the one’ from the first moment that he saw her three months ago, but his flirting with her didn’t get him the girl. Until the day he rescued her from almost drowning. Cait was trying to rescue a dog and when Grant grabbed them both it was the opportunity he needed to get closer to Cait.
There is a lot of deep healing love in this story, which Cait needs. It was hard to hear about Cait’s past and the abuse that she suffered, but awareness of this is very important and I thought that it was dealt with sensitively. I enjoyed the mermaid sub-them too; Silver island is a special place and I look forward to reading more stories in this setting.

A really emotional book, which deals with the scars Cait has from being brought up in an emotionally abusive foster home. She is a very strong woman who through the determination and love shown to her by Brant and her two chosen families, finally stands up to her stepfather and carves out a new life for herself.. A very well written story.

Great book! I am really loving this series!! I have Bern into mystery thrillers lately so I was nervous that I wouldn't enjoy reading this as in every book I've read lately that's not a thriller I have not liked at all! But Melissa pulled it out again! I really liked this book! It had heartache and heartbreak and gave me all the feels! I loved all the characters and I think you will too! Definitely don't miss out on this book and series! They're well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! And a big thank you to Melissa Foster for your amazing words!

I truly cant find the word to describe how truly amazing this book was. It was a realistic 21-century romance. I felt every emotion these main characters felt. I can completely relate to the main female character. I love that this book was authentic. Yes, it has the theme of other books but it has a unique way of telling the story. I greatly enjoyed reading this book
