Reem Faruqi's GOLDEN GIRL is a heartwarming middle grade novel told in verse. Aafiyah and her Pakistani family are living in America where she must learn to navigate her father's legal troubles, her grandfather's health issues, and her relationship with her best friend. This is a wonderful story of hope, family, and friendship.
