Enemies to lovers romance; need I say more? I loved this book. The characters were so well written that I felt attached to their story. Hazel and Callum do get their HEA. The angst kept me on the edge of my seat. I really hope Callum's friend Damon gets a story. I would love to see his play out.

Great enemies to lovers story, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and such a plot twist I didn’t see coming at all, brilliant

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book has potential but a lot of it is covered up by a bratty (not in a good way) TSTL female and antihero who could seemed to figure out that it's okay to be the antihero without seeming overly angsty or cold. I probably could have get over the antihero but the TSTLF not so much.

This is an enemies to lovers mafia romance. I found the mafia part was not integral to the plot. Some of the steams were steamy, but overall I didn't find a lot of chemistry between the characters.

The story is filled with so much angst and backstory that brought out the imperfections and perfections of the characters. It's also an enemy to lovers which is one of my personal favorites! Overall I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

If you love mafia romance with a hint of mystery, you should check out Savage by Anna Ray. Action, suspense and adrenaline rush, and of course romance are that much themes this novel has to offer.

Callum meets Callum. This is that book when the main characters shares the same name. But worry not, you won’t get confuse because only the hero goes by the name Callum. The heroin, Hazel is the adopted daughter of the Brentwood family.

Hazel despise Callum because she believe he killed his brother, or rather the one causing his death. But one cannot play the game. Callum too, hates the Brentwoods for all of their blood money. But Hazel’s brother’s death has sparked curiosity and open up a path for Hazel to find her birth parents. And Callum is the key.

And so, the two teams up and started investigating. Clue after clue brought the two closer. Throughout all that time spent together, the attraction finds its way to love.

I didn’t love this one. I wanted too but I feel like it didn’t have quite enough world building which is important to be. I did like that it was based in Boston though because I am from Massachusetts. I definitely would give a book by this author another try but this one wasn’t for me.

Savage is a dark Mafia romance that tells the story of good girl Hazel and bad boy Callum. Very typical of the genre, filled with hot, steamy sex, nonstop action and sticky situations, I liked it. I did feel that the author used a bit too much foul language in odd places in the story, which detracted from my enjoyment.

Callum comes across as being callous when deep down he feels responsible for the shortfalls of others. Hazel is stronger than she thinks. As the story develops, more and more mysteries are unravelled. The most surprising one comes when Phoenix is exposed for who he really is. It's unpredictable and makes for a page turner.

A delicious bad boy is out for vengeance. An innocent rich girl is trying to find out more about her birth mother. Was it fate that put them in each other’s path or was it the directed by an outside hand? While there was a heated attraction between Hazel and Callum, I was getting a little whiplash from Callum and his indecisive feelings. There was an interesting mystery to solve which I didn’t see coming until right before the reveal. I hope Damon gets a story next!

A slow burn book.. Hazel and callum heat up the pages with all the sexual tension between the two... A total opposites attract book.. Hazel determined to find her birth parents leads her to a dangerous man like callum... A great book to lose your self in...

3 stars

I really liked the overall plot. It was dark and gritty and full of action and Suspense.
Now... you might ask why the 3 stars? Well because although I adored the plot my problem were the mcs.
Hazel... I felt bad for her and what she went through but you'd think our girl learned something from it but nope. She was the definition of TSTL heroine. I feel bad for not liking her more.
Now, our Hero, Callum... *sighs* we were told from the beginning he was "bad" but that's it. They never showed us really why he was so bad. Also I didn't liked how he treated our heroine.
Again, the story was good but with better MCs I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Callum O'Daire and Hazel Brentwood come from completely different backgrounds. She thinks he is the devil incarnate and he thinks she is innocent and privileged. What entails is an explosion of spice, angst, secrets, mystery, heartbreak and romance.

This book was very entertaining and I really liked the characters. The plot was good and there was a bit of mystery sprinkled in too. I did feel that certain sections of dialogue were repeated unnecessarily, and where a scene could have been pushed for drama or angst there was a rehash of the same scene.

I'm also really intrigued by some of the side characters such as Damon and Fin. Phoenix's story would also be interesting.

Overall this was a great read that was well-paced and enjoyable. The atmosphere and the settings featured in the book worked well with the plot and the characters.

I recommend this books to anyone that likes dark romance with the jackass lead and virgin heroine. It was well written a quick read. If short dark contemporary romance is your thing, you'll probably like this.

I was never able to fully get in to this, I'm not sure why. I liked it but not enough to hold my attention from other things.

This is the first book by this author for me. The blurb really pulled me in to try this one. Hazel is looking for help in finding out about her birth mother. Her brother Sam left a note making it seem like Callum knew something. Callum needs her to. This story is a bit intense. Might be a hard read for some and have triggers for some readers as well. Callum is pretty blunt and often rude. He seems in a inner struggle with himself often. Hazel starts out pretty weak but as the story progresses becomes stronger and more confident. It felt like I was going to get whiplash from all the back and forth Callum did with how he treated and felt about Hazel. He couldn't live without her but thought for her sake he should. It really kept my interest throughout even it frustrated me at times. A good solid read for me.

Callum Brentwood is the darling of Boston's moneyed society and king of the underworld. He is ruthless and dangerous and but also magnetic and gorgeous, Hazel needs a favor from him but she despises him and all his family. He is the only one that can help her get information that she needs. She risks being destroyed by him to ask the favor and is drawn to him, I recommend this book.

I'm not sure that this was really a book about the Mafia - bad people, horrific crimes, of course - but not the traditional mafia. Regardless, the attraction and repulsion between Callum and Hazel are obvious, and their (sometimes really dumb) actions reflect that. Not the most realistic of storylines but certainly a few good hours of escapism.
