Wow! Ok this starts off with a bang! Talk about graphic. But I’m here for it. Some scenes were a lot! I really enjoyed this twisted tale. I did guess the big twist before it was revealed so it wasn’t too shocking to me. I didn’t know how it would turn out. I was a little bummed i knew the twists. But it was riveting story. Loved when the detective perspective came in as well! That layer was exciting. I was so sucked into this character and curious to see what she would do next. I had hoped for a little more toward the end but overall, it was a great read.

A highly entertaining thriller with great narration that examines what happens when wealth and privilege collide with small town lives in a most extreme way.

This story starts off with the discovery of a dead body that is almost beyond recognition. Told through different perspectives and timelines we slowly learn what happened from both the killer and victim's standpoint and what events led up to the shocking murder.

Set in a small town the story looks at the lives of a couple living on the edges of society who rent out their second property as a vacation retreat. When one wealthy couple comes to stay, looking for an escape from their social downfall the lives of all four become intertwined with lethal results.

I couldn't put this one down! It was a roller coaster of a ride with lots of twists and turns I didn't see coming. Highly recommend. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my ALC!

So many twists and turns! I love how the story came together in this. What you think is happening gets turned all around as the story goes on. Great storyline and very suspenseful.

I must admit, it took me a little bit to get into this book (not odd, I have ADHD - haha), but I am so glad that I gave it one more chapter. The book is written from three perspectives; one: the victim, two: a third party / potential suspect, three: the detective on the case. I found this very intriguing. It gives you multiple suspects, and keeps you guessing until the end ... where there is a great plot twist.

Thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone for providing an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is a pretty slick production, well voice acted (I have definitely heard Cassandra Campbell somewhere before), if a bit thin on voice distinction between characters.

I got to the point where it became clear there was going to be violence done to an innocent animal, and ... I just couldn't. The story is pretty gory and extremely depressing. It's well written, but damn! I can take a lot of gore, but when the opening scene has a human nose in a garbage disposal, you know it's gonna be rough.

I might try again and skip over the gross/upsetting parts in the future, but this book is why trigger warnings exist. Ugh.

Phenomenal psychological thriller. Lizzy spent her entire life as an outcast living with her father at the junkyard in Cooper River, Maine. Then one bright October morning, Lizzy is found dead in her house, her face completely blown away, half her nose in the garbage disposal, and the junkyard burning to the ground. Nobody liked Lizzy, nobody would miss her, but who would commit such a horrific crime. Her husband, Dwayne, a local legend, is missing and though he too treated Lizzy like trash, nobody can believe he would have killed her so violently. Then there's Adrienne Richards, billionaire bombshell living her fabulous life through social media with a money-hungry husband who was involved in an enormous investment scandal, but found innocent of his crimes. To escape the spotlight, they became regular renters of Lizzy's lake house in Cooper River. Is there any connection? Detective Ian Bird is determined to solve the murder of the soul that was cast aside by everyone else. Little does he know that a cunning, determined women with nothing to lose will travel to hell and back to live the life she wants. A huge thank you to Net Galley for an advanced audio copy. All the opinions here are my own.

This is quite the psychological thriller! It was fast-paced and I loved how it was told through different viewpoints. The narrators were amazing! Highly recommended.

Fast paced and told from multiple perspectives, No One Will Miss Her follows the complicated relationship of Lizzie, her town, her husband, an out of town cop, and Adrienne, the wealthy outsider who is tied to Lizzie’s death.

I really enjoyed the pacing of this book and especially wanted to discover how all the loose ends would be tied up. Would recommend to adult readers.

I got the privilege to listen to this audio book. At first I thought I was not going to like it. It was hard to figure out what was going on at first, but as I listened the story got better. The outcome was not at all what I expected.
What a great listen. Highly recommended.

This book was really good. It did get a little gory in parts which I didn't like so if you are squeamish maybe skip this one. And if you are someone who doesn't like unlikeable characters this one isn't for you. But I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook!

I listened to the audiobook and I thought the 3 narrators did a great job with this book and brought a lot to the characters and the suspense of the novel. This was a mystery that took place in rural Maine and down to Boston and I enjoyed the scenic description of these places. It’s hard to say much about this book without giving away too much, especially since it had an amazing twist in the middle that was unexpected for me. It definitely kept my attention, because sometimes audiobooks do not, but this one did. I did find one main part of the book a little hard to believe that bothered me some while listening, but I still enjoyed it overall. Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook.

So I actually had the audio book copy of this, so I listened to it instead of read it. So, the intro starts off with a bang as we are getting narration from a now deceased character. Lizzie Oullette has lived her entire short life in a rural Maine town where everyone knows everything about everyone else. For Lizzie, she had spent her life as the town white trash, her violent death falls in the lap of veteran state investigator Ian Bird. Lizzie is an easily sympathetic character who narrates her own miserable backstory, and generally she is easy to feel sorry for. Maybe because this was an audiobook, or maybe it was just some clever plot twisting, either way, the plot twist around the 60 percent mark definitely snuck up on me and caught me by surprise. This definitely has some Gone Girl style vibes to it. If I have one critique it would be that after the big plot twist the ending is a little flat, but it’s still a fun journey. Review posted to Goodreads, Litsy, LibraryThing, instagram, Facebook.

If you disappeared would anyone notice that you were gone?

No One Will Miss Her is the kind of book (or audiobook) that you just cannot put down. In Copper Falls, Maine, a junkyard is part of a large fire. A local cop is evacuating and warning nearby homes when he comes upon a gruesome scene. A local woman, Lizzie Oullette, has been brutally murdered. Why was she murdered and why is her husband Dwayne now missing?

This book was quite the ride. It’s told between primarily by Detective Ian Bird investigating the crime, Lizzie Oullette describing her life and what happened leading up to the event, and Adrienne Richards, a rich woman who has rented the lakeside cabin in the past from Lizzie. The book kept me guessing, but I’ll admit that I did guess a big twist. It was actually something I thought, wouldn’t it be great if this happened, but I didn’t think it could. Then it did and I was excited to see how it would all turn out. This happened about halfway through, and I was still intrigued with the story and couldn’t wait to see how it would end. It was a great unique story.

The book really takes a look at what is identity in this day and age and why would no one miss Lizzie. It looks making assumptions about people due to economics and also slut shaming. It was interesting to think about. Lizzie had such a sad life; it was hard to listen to at times. I’m not going to go too much further into the plot as I loved being surprised by the story myself.

There is a graphic animal death in the book that upset me, and there are a few brutal moments in the book that have you cringe.

The narrators were great, and all gave a unique voice to the three different viewpoints in the novel.

This book comes out October 12th and is the perfect thriller to add to your fall reads!

Lizzie Oullette is found murdered in her rental vacation home. Coined the Junkyard Jezebel by Copper Falls' less-than-friendly citizens, Lizzie won't be missed by many. While investigating Lizzie's death, Detective Ian Bird finds it strange that the townspeople are more concerned about Dwayne, Lizzie's missing husband and the prime murder suspect, than Lizzie herself. Bird must figure out what happened to Lizzie and Dwayne and determine if their renters, Adrienne and Ethan Richards -- a wealthy couple from Boston, were involved.

I won't say too much more about the plot of No One Will Miss Her, as I believe it is best to go into this one blind. That way, you'll be able to experience all of the twists as the author intended them. It will blow your mind! Through the intersection of Lizzie and Adrienne's lives, the story also tackles tough topics, including class, privilege, envy, and identity.

For those interested in the audiobook, the narrators for No One Will Miss Her are outstanding! These characters are vividly brought to life by Cassandra Campbell, Sophie Amoss, and Chris Andrew Ciulla. The ensemble cast enhances this gripping thriller. I highly recommend listening to this one!

From its opening with the gruesome murder scene until the end, No One Will Miss Her will keep you on the edge of your seat; it manages to be both mind-bending and thought-provoking. It's on my list of top 2021 thrillers!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Audio for an early listening copy.

No One Will Miss Her by Kat Rosenfield is a twisty thriller that takes place in New England, when a small-town girl is found dead in her rural Maine lake home. The story follows in the perspective of Lizzie, Adrienne, and Detective Bird. Lizzie, is from the small town and has always been an outcast. She and her father fix up a lake home to rent it out to vacationers. A summer tenant of the home is Adrienne, a vapid wealthy woman who lives in Boston with her husband Ethan, a white collar conman who swindled many out of their savings but evaded prison time.
In the beginning, we find Lizzie dead from a shotgun blast in her lake home. The tension slowly builds for the first half of the novel as details are filled in about Lizzie’s death and Adrienne’s life. Detective Bird, a state police officer, is investigating the murder and tracking down what could have lead to such a horrific crime. Though the first half kept me intrigued, the pace really picks up in the second half of the novel and the answers kept me guessing. I found it interesting to ponder how people can do major harm to others and themselves without even necessarily meaning to. I listened to the audiobook, which was perfectly narrated by Cassandra Campbell, Sophie Amoss, and Chris Andrew Ciulla. Their voices were excellent for the roles and kept me listening.

Thank you William Morrow and Custom House / Harper Audio and NetGalley for providing this ebook and audiobook ARC.

This book was a lot of fun. So many twists and turns. I loved the use of the narrators. I felt like I was uncovering the mystery with them. This was a quality thriller and not too much can be said about favorite characters without giving things away! Highly recommend

What a great twist on a plot that I've read before! A disenfranchised loner who is bullied by her fellow locals hatches a plan. It involves the other slice of life, the rich and entitled.
The audio version was superb., The various narrators were so good at telling the story of Lizzie that I felt myself cringe at certain parts. This is a great read and one that kept me guessing until the end.
